Holiday Inn Port of Miami-Downtown Reviews

Just yuck. It just looks old. I guess it was clean but it was too old looking to be sure. The worst thing about this stay is that the breakfast offered is $25 and not worth $10. It should have been complimentary with the room. To pay an additional $25 for powdered eggs and cold pancakes was just ridiculous. I would not stay there again nor would I recommend it.

Great place to stay . Close to cruise ports .

This was my most disappointing experience. Firstly, I couldn't find the name of the hotel, there was no name outside the building. Secondly, the hotel equipment was very outdated, and the breakfast service staff ignored customers and gathered together to chat.

This hotel looks like nothing on the picture. The paint is cheeping off the walls and it has a horrible Oder. I don't recommend this hotel.

Terrible, horrible, no good, very bad.. This hotel looked NOTHING like the website pictures. This is GHETTO. Ratchet. POOR. It smells like booty water. It made us sick from the mold. Woke up sick. Do not book it. It’s bad. Seriously.

This is an older hotel but it’s clean with nice staff providing good services. The location is excellent. You can see the beautiful Port of Miami and Bayside market outside your window. Most tourists buses either pick up outside the hotel or across the street. The cruise harbor and restaurant are in walking distance or you can take the free trolley to go around yourself. Next time I visit will book this hotel again.

Totally scrapped and obsolete hotel. The service was completely bad..! The amenities are so bad.., specially in the room. Terrible housekeeping service. The location is good to go to the Miami Heat game (05 minutes walking). I’d not stay again.

Great location but this hotel is very very tired, with paint peeling off the walls & a small inbox with a key which was the safe. To cap it all 2 of the 3 lifts were not working at a time when people were trying to leave to go on their cruises. It took an hour on average to get to the ground floor. They fixed one of the faulty ones thank goodness - but still only 2 lifts working. We ate diner in the restaurant one night and the fries were disgusting, dark brown and fully of oil. We both left the fries. We will not be staying again even though the location across the road from Bayside.

Location SUPER! Food OK. Hotel old, room clean, but so, so. But it was Miami Downtown! If was the second stay in Miami on this winter school holidays trip, so it was just for one night only. The boy in the lobby for luggage also did his job well! The most terrible experience with this stay was the booking by itself. Because making it at the end we felt a bit in a hurry so even though we made booking 2 days in advance (prior to coming from Orlando), I made there a lapsus by making reservation with the start date. I was putting in as starting date the date of when reservation was made (also because of outer distractions), so could not cancel it any more (48hrs before start date of reg. only). So I made and paid second one as well. Facilities old but still OK (altghough it could be in much better condition; compared let's say to an older hotel by Lake Bled in my country, for example, let's say Hotel Triglav with Restaurant 1906 - I always loved it and I still do, altgough there are many by us (older, where I stayed in) (let's say a dozen, maybe not that famous as this one) (but then again just by us there were a few dozens newer ones (but relative to period of 30yrs I am doing that, then not so many), I did stay in, that were also super at least). Tried to negotiate a bit with employees in hotel reception, but they put it all back on me again and said, it was mine and trip.com matter only, relying for us to solve it by ourselves between us...

THE FIRST GAVE ME A TERRIBLE VIEW ROOM ,ROOM 300 THEN I ASK FOR A CHANGE TO ROOM 608 IT WAS A GREAT VIEW BUT THE BATHROOM FLOORS WERE WITH HAIR AND THEY ARE VERY OLD PAINT FALLING , YOU NEED TO RENEW THE ROOMS.

close to cruise terminal. breakfast with very limited choice. receptionist is not friendly and little bit rude. if you need information, other guests could help better

There was an excellent shuttle service to the port. 👌👏👏👏 Sadly the reception staff were unfriendly and preferably evasive. Which was totally unwanted and unnecessary

This hotel leaves you with a feeling of being homeless. The rooms have a very bad smell. The air conditioner doesn't cool, and the rooms are old and oudated pop corn ceilings and old paint that's the luxury you get for 250 a night. Pick something else and be at least comfortable.
