Mercure Properties in Melbourne

The hotel is in a good location and everything feels very new. It seems like some of the finishing work, such as the painting, may not be fully completed yet. The staff were very nice and friendly. The coffee machine in the room also looked brand new, but unfortunately it didn’t seem to be working properly. Overall, it was still a pleasant stay.

The hotel facilities are excellent, and there's a large shopping mall nearby for some retail therapy. The staff are also very polite. If I visit Melbourne again, I'd definitely choose to stay at this hotel.

The hotel is right by a stunning lake and is also close to a shopping centre. The breakfast and bistro areas are pretty good, with delicious food. The rooms are clean and the balconies offer a lovely view of the lake. The only thing I didn’t love was the mattress—it was a bit firm and not the most comfortable. Also, the frosted lights in the bathroom can sometimes shine into the bedroom, which might wake up other guests. They do have an indoor pool and gym. The lift to the apartments is a bit old, but we didn’t mind. The free car parking is easy to find and use. I also thought walking around the lake was pretty good. They also offer you a selection of pillows that you can pick for your stay which is a nice touch.

🌟 This hotel really deserves a review! 🌟 The front desk staff were super warm and welcoming, and check-in was very quick. 💰 The room facilities are all brand new and very smart, it's like a smart home of the future! 🤖 The hotel's breakfast is also excellent, with a variety of delicious options that satisfied my taste buds. 🍔🍲 It's truly great value for money, and I'll definitely choose it again for my next business trip! 💼

Room was clean and beds were comfy. The hotel was excellent with good food and drink options within the hotel. Will stay here again.

Facilities: The facilities are quite comprehensive, including some suitable for disabled guests. It's autumn now, and the temperature is very comfortable. Cleanliness: Cleaning was prompt and timely. Environment: The location is excellent, close to the central station, making it convenient to go anywhere. There's also a public parking lot available.

Excellent, except for a couple of little things. It's obvious that the hotel is doing a bit of cost cutting. I looked for a washcloth/ face washer, whatever it's called. I know from previous stays that this item is always there. Tried to call some one for a bit of assistance, but had no luck working out how to call Reception . No instructions anywhere. Bloody hell why does everything have to be so hard!

The location is fantastic! You can walk to the University of Melbourne, the State Library, Queen Victoria Market, and all the main landmarks. Plus, the pickup point for day tours is just a few steps away. There are so many dining options nearby that even though there's a kitchen, we ended up eating out most of the time. Being in the Free Tram Zone was a huge bonus, making it easy to get to many popular shops and spots. The front desk staff, including an Indian/Pakistani guy and what seemed like an Arab lady, were both very friendly. The room was cleaned daily with fresh supplies. While the facilities aren't brand new, they are clean and practical. For a place to relax after a day of exploring, it offers great value for money.

I chose the Mercure brand as the name has a good reputation. I chose Mercure North Melbourne as it was very convenient to where I had meetings to attend over a two day period. Though I felt safe and comfortable in the hotel, I did think the hotel was quite ‘tired and tardy’’ looking. I would suggest it needs an overhaul - a ‘facelift’ and a total refurbishment to raise its standard.
