I recently stayed at Rydges Melbourne and found the room to be very comfortable, providing a relaxing and cozy space to unwind. The hotel itself is well-located in the heart of the city, which is convenient for exploring Melbourne. However, driving to the hotel during peak hours was quite a challenge due to heavy traffic, and the parking fees were very expensive, which added to the overall cost of the stay. For those traveling by car, this is something to consider. That said, if you’re not driving, it’s a great place to stay for its comfort and central location.

One of the best hotels I've stayed in Melbourne! The staff are friendly and welcoming. Great interior design and furniture. Will definitely be back!

Very good location and near Chinatown

Pretty great experience, room was very clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed. The theme and colour of the room was well thought off and was very cozy. Services were very fast with online check in and check out and was hassle free too.

Really like the rebranding of this Rydges. Their corner king deluxe room at the upper level are better than the stander one. Deco are very modern and clean. Just their lifts are very slow and only 3 available for 21 floors.

Easy check-in and polite staff. Pool was great and the room was a good size and very clean. Excellent location, walking distance to all the sights. We would definitely staff here again.

Good location and good hotel

This hotel is the worst hotel I have ever been to, because I left my luggage at the hotel before the check-in time. After returning from the Victoria Market, the weather was very hot and I was very tired. I checked in automatically and got the key, but the air conditioner in the room was turned on and it didn't cool down. I called the front desk but no one answered. I called the workers several times to find a repairman. The workers came and started to clean the vents. In fact, they used a vacuum cleaner to vacuum. At that time, the room was full of dust and it was very choking, so I asked to change rooms. After the change, I found that the painting on the bed in the room was all dusty. I went downstairs to find the front desk to solve it. In the end, I apologized and gave breakfast coupons and asked the cleaning staff to clean it. The most ridiculous thing was that the painting was stuck and couldn't be taken off. The cleaning staff also tried their best to reach in with clothes to clean it. After tossing and turning, two hours passed. This hotel is not cheap. 1460 yuan may be New Year's Eve! But we didn't enjoy good service and it was really disappointing that the price was not in line with this. The hotel does not provide slippers and toothbrushes, and the room is not very big. There were few varieties for breakfast and there were too many people. The steamed dumplings were all stuck together. This is the first time I have encountered such service in such a big hotel. I hope friends who wish to stay here can use this as a reference!

In desperation, we contacted the housekeeper A Liang, who immediately coordinated with the hotel. Soon, the hotel's Chinese waiter Zhang Jing enthusiastically solved the problem for us. Hearing the familiar Chinese service in a foreign country, the surprise and warmth of that moment are still unforgettable. This trip made us deeply feel that Ctrip is our solid backing, especially in the journey after retirement. Ctrip's company makes every trip feel safe and assured. I found this new hotel by chance. The facilities are very new. The self-service check-in and check-out system is very convenient. The room view is also good and the transportation location is also very good~

It's just across the street from the entrance to China Town. It's clean, but there are no toothbrushes, toothpaste, or mineral water. There is no parking lot. You can find a paid parking space on the roadside nearby, but you have to pay every two hours (I don't know if it's wrong). There is also a parking lot for overnight parking at around 75 Australian dollars, which is more convenient than roadside parking.

It was my first time staying at Rydges, and it was a bit beyond my expectations. This hotel should have been newly renovated with new facilities. The room has two 1.8-meter king-size beds and a lounge, which is the standard of an executive suite in China. Chinatown is across the street, and the tram station is not far away, so it is convenient to get in and out and the surrounding area is lively.
