Check-in was smooth and the staff were genuinely friendly, creating a great first impression. The hotel’s location is ideal—nestled between two major roads within the CBD’s free tram zone. My room was on the 9/F and top floor, spacious and well-appointed. Though the hotel is surrounded by buildings and doesn’t offer any view, it’s peaceful and practical. coin-operated laundry and dryer are available onsite, with laundry powder sold at reception for $1 AUD, which is quite handy for extended stays. The television doesn’t support direct login to streaming platforms like Netflix, but I easily mirrored content from my personal device. This workaround worked well for casual viewing during my downtime. There were a few downsides. One pillow had a visible mold stain, which raised a hygiene concern. I had my Do Not Disturb sign displayed throughout my stay, yet housekeeping entered and cleaned the room on my final day. It was an unexpected breach of privacy, and I hope the hotel takes note and reinforces respect for guest preferences. Despite these minor issues, the overall experience was highly satisfying. The combination of its prime location, spacious rooms, thoughtful amenities, and friendly service makes this hotel a dependable and comfortable choice.

Absolutely brilliant stay at Causeway 353 Hotel. The location was perfect. Room was nice and clean. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

Excellent value… Location… large fresh room… convenient and reasonably priced parking … very helpful staff… outstanding !!

The hotel was in a really good location. 5 minutes walk to trams on either ends. 10-15 minutes walk to Melbourne Central. There were also lots of cafes/restaurants around the hotel, heaps of options that are decent eats. There was a lift available for use. The only downside would be terrible wifi. The wifi kept dropping out and was super slow. We ended up just using our data which did drop out in intervals for like a minute or so. Sometimes, there’s like big noises from the road/sewage pipe I’m unsure but it wasn’t often and I’ve only noticed it on one of the days, out of 4 days we stayed. I love the checkout time being at 10am as it’s not too early, allowing for a longer sleep-in time and packing time for us. Check-in and check-out was smooth and quick. We are able to leave our luggages with them before and after which was convenient. Would def recommend to those wanting a decent hotel on a budget!

The Causeway is situated in an excellent location right in the centre of Melbourne city. It is exceptionally quiet at night. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it was great to be able to store our luggage as we arrived earlier than check in. There is no food provision but there are many cafes and restaurants nearby.

Great location, helpful and friendly staff. Given a room when we arrived early in the morning, which was very kind. Close to everything, lots of food around the area. Also have coin washing machine & dryer that’s a big plus !

We had a good stay here. No issues, great cancellation policy. Clean rooms, regular towel changes, spacious room, decent WiFi, great location. Staff were very helpful. We arrived early and they did their best to arrange an early check in.

The hotel is located in the alley between Colin St and Little Colin St. The Front Desk staffs are helpful and friendly but despite a pleasantly large room, the bed is an utter disappointment. The bed and pillows are so soft that we experienced backaches and neck pains sleeping on them… The Housekeeping is inconsistent, with one day giving clean towels while another short of towels, so this is like “a box of chocolate”, you seriously don’t know what you will get… Finally, what’s most intolerable is practically nonexistent Free WiFi… So, what’s the hotel terms of Free WiFi could means Free Air…

Terrible and bad air conditioner system! Can’t sleep well under the high room temperature! Can’t control the room temperature at all! Even we call staff to come to fix it for us, the temperature was still rising! So stupid!
