- The riad is beautiful designed in a traditional fashion, rooms are decadent - The location is a little out of the way but in the hustle and bustle of the locals, so as you want to the main square (20 mins) you can discover local culture - There are great little convenience stores on your doorstep, as well as fab terraced restaurants and spas within minutes - The plunge pool was refreshing - The staff are friendly and accommodating and service very good - The AC was very good particularly in the 47 degree heat we endured! - Breakfast is great on the terrace, fresh items and lots of choice The only downside was the long walk in the heat to the centre square, which if you don't go in the summer months, wouldn't be an issue at all. Also, the plunge pool water didn't look particularly clear. Other than that, great riad to spend a few days in.

We LOVED our experience with Riad Alaka.... from airport pick up to drop off, we were SO well taken care of. The rooms were beautiful.... the staff incredibly helpful and friendly... and the assistance in getting tours and guides was wonderful. One evening we did hamam, massage and dinner. The value for the enjoyment was fantastic. Mr. Mahjoul is the manager and leads his staff to be their best. We often saw him working right alongside them and they all seemed to enjoy being there. We were super happy to be cared for by Abdul, Mimone, Soumine, Malika and Amel and Shanea (?). We hope to return to Marrakesh and will DEFINITELY stay here again and use their tour services.

We stayed for 3 nights at the wonderful Riad Alaka. We were picked up from the airport and booked the return journey through the Riad too. This was so helpful and saved a lot of stress! We had dinner the first night and it was freshly cooked and delicious. The room was authentic and beautifully decorated. The hospitality was perfect - we couldn't have asked for more. Thank you so much.

Riad Alaka is situated in a quiet backstreet on the edge of the old medina. A few minutes walk willl take you to the busy streets of the souk. The rooms and general areas are very beautiful and clean. All rooms are in different colors with kettles, coffee and tea available. The bathrooms are equipped with everything you need; bath robes, towels, shower gel, shampoo and body lotion The food, breakfast (included) and lunch/dinner (to be ordered), are delicious and served inside or at the roof terrace at the time of your preferance. The staff are super friendly and do everything they can to make you feel welcome and help you with your needs, including arranging day trips to places like the Atlas Mountains and Essaoura. We had a wonderful stay at Riad Alaka and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Marrakesh.

Another excellent visit to this lovely Riad, super friendly staff, clean rooms and general areas and delicious food. The main positive for me is their ability to provide gluten free foods as part of the very generous included breakfast. Good location and easy to find your way around from the Riad

Lovely Riad in the medina about 20 minutes walk from Jma el Fna. Aziz and all the staff are superb hosts and made us feel welcome at all times, nothing was too much trouble. Amazing breakfast which set us up for the day and my gluten free requirements managed better than most places in the UK The Riad is clean and comfortable and truly beautiful with access to the roof which has a hot tub. The hamman and massage not to be missed and much better value than some of the tourist spas. We enjoyed an evening meal twice during our stay and both were delicious and plentiful. Already looking to book again later in the year

Staff were excellent - helpful and very friendly. Breakfast was really good especially when served on the roof terrace. Rooms (and Riad) in general were lovely - a morocan/boutique feel. Although still in the medina, it felt less touristy than other, more central, locations. Really quiet on this basis. A little way out from the centre (15 minute walk from the main square) - we started to use the inexpensive bus to get /there back which cost a few Dirhams. The street to the Riad might not be to everyone’s taste but we had no issues and added to the authentic feel of the location.

Second time i was at the Riad, but found that the “Homly” feeling was gone, which I experienced the first time I was there, didn’t encounter the friendly manager anymore instead new younger stuff which tried fiercely to sell dinner and hammam all the time, which was a bit annoying at some point, reminded me of being in the souk. Unfortunately they hardly spoke any Englisch which made communication difficult 😞

Absolutely lovely place to stay. The rooms are comfy and well-appointed, in a beautiful old building. The sunny roof terrace is also a great place to unwind after a busy day. Great location - we didn't know anything about Marrakech when booking, but are so pleased that we picked to stay in the lively and central Bab Doukkala. Aziz and the whole team at Riad Alaka were extremely helpful and attentive, and made us feel right at home. The breakfast in particular was outstanding.

Tranquil haven in a very busy Marrakech. The hosts were amazing, nothing was any trouble. Sorted out airport transfers. Great breakfast. Found us a pharmacy in a bank holiday. Lovely room, even had a kettle 😊. Anything we asked they were able to do. Really enjoyed the wine too. I will definitely visit again.

Nous avons passé des moments merveilleux. Ce Riad est très très beau. Le personnel est très professionnel, ils nous ont chouchouté tout au long de notre séjour. Majoub ( responsable du Riad) se plie en quatre pour que vous puissiez profiter des activités, il trouve les meilleurs prix, les moyens de locomotion, vous n' avez rien a faire que de vous laissez guider.J' ai eut la Chance de rencontrer Omar, Malika et Aziza. Nous avons eut l impression de faire partie de leur famille. Je ne les oublierai jamais, ces personnes resteront gravées dans mes meilleurs souvenirs. Je conseille grandement ce RIAD.

Desde la recepción hasta el fina se notaba un trato atento y familiar , el hotel es precioso y tiene un algo que le hace especial. La piscina es muy romántica y es un gusto refrescarse después de una tarde de ajetreo . El desayuno muy rico ( en especial el yogurh , pedimos otro y nos lo trajeron) Venimos de otro riad de 5 estrellas pero este nos gusto mas. Y aunque no esta pegado a la plaza esta muy accesible desde el exterior y es un plus.

Un super séjour dans un riad très beau, propreté irréprochable, petit déjeuner excellent et varié. Merci encore à toute l'équipe du Riad Alaka pour leur accueil très chaleureux ! Mahjoud nous a aidé à organiser de super sorties, Omar et Mimoune étaient aux petits soins pour notre confort tout au long de notre séjour et Malika nous à concocté de bons tajines et couscous. Le Riad est idéalement situé dans la Médina à 15 min à pied de la Place Jeema El Fna et à 10 min des 1er souks. Nous y reviendrons vraiment sans hésiter !

Ottima zona di accesso quando si usano i taxi, nella Medina anche se non vicinissimo alla piazza principale (non è detto sia un male). Riad carinissimo con una gestione molto attenta e puntale . Buona la colazione e Consigliatissime le escursioni. Ci torneremo
