It was such a smooth and hassle-free booking experience. The process was quick, everything was clearly laid out, and I had no issues at all. However, the hotel itself was a bit old, so just keep that in mind. Overall, still satisfied and would book again through Trip.com!

It's a nice, big, and clean room. There is a 7/11 beside the building, and it's a short walk to Robinson's Mall. There was no free coffee, and the shower was a bit cold. I would pay a little extra to stay in a nicer area.

My stay at Lyf Malate Manila was absolutely excellent and I have no issues with how accommodating and welcoming the staff were! Especially with one of the room service staff who was very considerate of my requests for extra towels and whatever the case may be. This is technically my second time staying within the same premises as I remained at Torre Lorenzo prior when it was still a Hotel but the experience was amazing and is recommended for all who wish to experience great rooms and people. The only issue I had during my stay was that at times the bathroom would have stagnant water that would come from the shower after taking a bath or the like. Other than that there are no issues.

Had a nice and comfortable stay at Hop Inn Hotel Manila. The room was clean, the staff were polite, and the location was convenient. However, the bed foam kept shifting out of the bed frame, which was a bit inconvenient. I also wish they provided complimentary toothbrush and toothpaste, or at least had them available for purchase at the front desk. Overall, still a great value for the price and would consider staying again.

Location - few walks away from DLSU, St. Scholastica and Benilde. Also few walk away from LRT stations and Bus Stations so quite accessible. If your are foreign tourists, expect some noise and dirty manila surroundings when you go out of the hotel facility. Service - Staff and crew are very pleasant starting with the security guards and attendants upon the entering the hotel facility. The check in procedures are smooth and the receptionist during that time is very accommodating and nice. Facilities - The building is kinda ”old” and it is very evident with the elevators and the lobby. Upon entering the room, I noticed it was very clean and the CR is very clean and dry as well. However, you can really notice that everything is old although it can add ”charm” to the ambiance of the hotel because well, it can be like that. Other that that, everything is nice, the beds are big and the pillows and comforters were, well, seems clean naman. All rooms have their own balcony however, for security purposes, doors are locked but you have a good view pa din naman, which is sa room ko, the Manila skyline and the pool. I think the worst part lang is the smell of the room. Not stinky naman or whatever but I am not sure if because the building is old or whatever but there's really a weird smell na hindi nakaka ”clean” smell, not sure if coming from the old aircon or whatever. Yun lang ata ang downfall, the old vibe of the room is okay but the smell, hhmmm, not sure. There's a pool area as well and a jacuzzi, which I was able to try and it's really nice. Food - My stay came with a breakfast buffet. The restaurant is sooo nice, again, the old vibes kinda add with the ambiance. The staff are well trained as well so they're accommodating and pleasant. As for the food selection, I guess it's the normal food selection for a hotel. There's the usual morning breakfast, pastries, juices and all. With the price you paid, I think it's okay. In general, my stay was nice and I can really say that the biggest assets of hotels like CPH are their staff and crews because how they treat and accommodate their guests will have a great impact with the stay.

Our experience at the new coast hotel: The staff was super friendly and helpful The room was clean. House keeping provided the supplies on time. The breakfest was good with a range of foods to select And it is near the bay area, which has the ocean park Check in and out was quick Dislikes The construction woke me up and didn't let me sleep The view from my room was a construction site picture attached Every time we entered, we were searched and walked through a scanner I hope this review helps. All in all, we have a pleasant stay at the hotel. I hope the renovation are over soon.

I would say the hotel gets 10/10 for everything and except the some amenities which are quite old on the property but that doesn’t stop you from enjoying other amazing things offered. Breakfast is made to order and not Buffet but the quality of the food is amazing specially the omelette which was filling and delicious. Location- You could basically walk to all major attractions in Manila except the Venice canal mall. Clubbing and Fun- There are loads of Japanese and Korean style bars and clubs in the doorstep but trust you won’t have the disturbance at night. As a dad and a family man I’m happy that property restricts smoking in all common areas including the rooms but smoking should be made more accessible and should have rain sheds while it’s raining you can’t enter there. There’s no onsite bar in this hotel and I would loved to have one in the premises. We stayed in the apartment type room with kitchen and had little to no issues with their quality of service. Only 1 thing I would say as a recommendation to the hotel - Kindly check all your power sockets in that wing (A3-7) it’s tripping and it’s a safety hazard. Overall very happy with their service and definitely worth the price we paid. Will I come again - Yes Until next time cheers

The staff were kind enough to let me leave my bags at the hotel even though the check-in time is still at 2PM because I explained that I had an event starting at 8AM. I have no negative comments but I was weirded out by my room having a door that connects to the room next door. It can be locked from the inside so that's a relief but I still had it blocked overnight using a chair just in case. Overall, it was a decent stay. Thank you for taking care of me, Orchid Garden Suites!

Manila Malate Hotel Guide

Manila is a city that never stands still. In places like Makati or Bonifacio Global City, the streets are alive with office workers, malls packed with shoppers, and restaurants buzzing late into the night. Music spills out from bars, and traffic hums constantly in the background. But just a short drive or walk away, you can stumble into quiet neighborhoods, old churches, and simple eateries where life feels slower. The city moves between fast and calm, giving you the rush of the crowd and the ease of small, peaceful corners.

Best Areas to Stay in Manila

Makati

Hotels in Makati – Ideal for first-time visitors who want a mix of modern city life and comfort. The area is filled with shopping malls, rooftop bars, and restaurants, yet you can also find quiet streets and cozy cafés.

  • Raffles Makati – From PHP 20,373 Luxury hotel with spacious suites, excellent service, and direct access to shopping and dining. Great for those who want everything within reach.
  • Fairmont Makati – From PHP 8,660 Elegant stay with comfortable rooms, a rooftop pool, and warm hospitality. A good balance of business and leisure.

Bonifacio Global City (BGC)

Hotels in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) – Best for food lovers, nightlife seekers, and those who enjoy walking around safe, clean streets lined with art murals, cafés, and trendy shops.

  • Shangri-La at the Fort – From PHP 19,427 Modern luxury with big pools, multiple dining options, and plenty of activities nearby. Right in the heart of BGC.
  • F1 Hotel Manila – From PHP 6,644 Convenient stay with friendly service, comfortable rooms, and easy access to High Street’s shops and restaurants.

Ermita & Malate

Hotels in Ermita & Malate – Great for travelers who want a more laid-back vibe with easy access to Manila Bay, historical sites, and budget-friendly stays.

  • The Bayleaf Intramuros – From PHP 3,716 Boutique hotel inside the old walled city with rooftop dining and views of Manila’s skyline. Perfect for history lovers.
  • Hotel H2O – From PHP 3,757 Unique rooms with aquarium walls, right next to Manila Ocean Park. Fun for families and couples looking for something different.

Getting to and Around Manila

Manila is served by Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), which has four terminals spread across Pasay and Parañaque. Depending on traffic, getting from the airport to the city can take anywhere from 20 minutes to over an hour.

From NAIA, you can take a Grab car (ride-hailing app), a metered taxi, or an airport bus to different parts of the city. Many hotels also offer airport pickup services if you prefer a hassle-free arrival.

Once in Manila, the easiest ways to get around are by Grab, taxis, or city buses. The MRT and LRT trains are a good option if you want to avoid traffic during rush hours, especially around Makati, Quezon City, and Pasay. For short trips, walking in safe areas like Makati or BGC is also enjoyable, with plenty of cafés and shops along the way.

If you have an early flight or a late-night arrival, staying at a hotel close to the airport or one that offers airport transfers can make your trip much smoother.

Tips for Booking Manila Hotels

Book Early for Peak Seasons

Reserve your hotel ahead of time if you’re visiting during Christmas, New Year, Holy Week, or long weekends. Popular areas like Makati, BGC, and near Mall of Asia fill up fast, and prices usually rise closer to the date.

Watch Out for Major Events

Manila often hosts big concerts, international conventions, and sporting events. These can quickly fill hotels near the venues, especially around Mall of Asia Arena, Araneta Coliseum, or World Trade Center. If you’re traveling during these times, secure your booking early to avoid last-minute stress.

Save with Booking Perks

New Trip.com users can enjoy up to 8% off on selected hotels. That discount could cover a nice dinner in Makati or even help you upgrade to a suite in places like Raffles Makati or Okada Manila.

Stay Smart with Location Choices

You don’t always need to book the priciest hotels in the city center. Consider:

  • Pasay – Convenient if you want to stay close to the airport and Mall of Asia.
  • Ermita or Intramuros – More affordable stays near Manila Bay and historical sites.
  • Quezon City – Great for budget-friendly options, especially if your trip includes university areas, shopping, or food spots.

GGuest UserWhen I arrived at the reception in Hotel Ava, I thought I need to show my booking confirmation. But the receptionist asked for my ID. I have a lot of baggage so it will be hard for me to find my ID. So I asked if I can show the picture of my ID. I understand that they don't allowed me. But the thing that I don't like is one of the receptionist on Oct. 31, 2024 around 10pm.. Said ”Walang booking booking dito”. I get irritated because they are not professional. Those ******** receptionists treat me as a scammer even I'm not. Luckily I find my ID after the rude comment from that guy. They are not friendly and not smiling to their guests. Not accomodating and ”mayabang”. But the staff who are assigned to give a pitcher of water are kind. I really appreciate their service.

CcanvvBasic amenties - towels, toothbrush, and paste. I liked the liquid soap provided - did not dry my skin. Some rust on the soap and shampoo container as it was steel/metal bottle. GGuest UserMy partner and I stayed for 2 nights PROS: 1. Great location  very close to shops, 7-Eleven, and even a nearby casino if you're into that. 2. Exceptional cleanliness  big compliments to the Housekeeping team! 3. Comfortable bed and pillows  very cozy. 4.Nice amenities provided: 2 bottled waters, dental kits (toothpaste and 2 toothbrushes), a comb, 1 shampoo sachet, and a small bar of soap. 5. Front desk security is excellent. Every time my partner left the hotel, they confirmed who was with me. Great job on ensuring guest safety. 6. Affordable choices of food from hotel menu and it was really taste great. 😋 CONS: 1. The front desk staff who checked me in didn’t seem very hospitable honestly, it was my first time experiencing that. I requested a room not near the elevator, but she still placed me next to it. The first room we were given had a non-functioning AC. I didn’t catch her name, but I think she could benefit from additional training in customer service. 2. Not ideal for light sleepers like me the walls are wooden, so you can clearly hear people in the next room talking, and unfortunately, even groaning and moaning during *** (yes, really!). 😩 3. The first room we were given was on the third floor, and it was terrible you could hear people singing karaoke in another room, which made it really hard to relax. OVERALL: The stay was just satisfactory. I’m glad I brought my earplugs they helped reduce the noise around me. Big thanks to the manager who helped us move to a new room on the 4th floor and even extended our checkout time, since the front desk didn’t check us in properly at first but still you can hear noise to the next room but not really loud unlike the first room we had. I didn’t catch the manager’s name because I was so exhausted and just wanted to sleep after our long trip from the north to Manila. We waited around 10–15 minutes for the new room to be ready because housekeeping was still cleaning it, but that was okay. Thanks to him the manager for the assistance!  Front desk staff service - Good 🙃 (PLEASE SMILE and BE FRIENDLY) Housekeeping service - SUPERB 😍 Food - GREAT Frond desk Manager - Very nice of him for doing a great job 😊

JJaredI just loved everything in BRIGHTSWOOD HOTEL! The ambiance of the room, the accommodation and the very welcoming and friendly staff! yet very affordable! One negative thing: the beddings are new but it needed to throughly check as andami pong bakbak na dumidikit sa damit as it was new. Need lang po sigurong labhan para makuha yung mga naiiwan na bakbak kasi nga bago. Aside from that EVERYTHING in Brightswood Hotel is superb! Way to go! 🥰🥰🥰🥰😇😇😇🥰🥰🥰

GGuest UserI stayed in a room on the 16th floor with a balcony. The location is convenient and the place is generally clean, but unfortunately, there was a noticeable smell in the room and I spotted few small cockroaches. Thankfully, I had brought my own air freshener and disinfectant spray, which helped. Overall, the stay was manageable, but the odor and pests definitely took away from the experience.

BBubuthThe location of Las Palmas is very good. Easy access for transportation and Robinsons Mall is just 5 mins walk. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The only downside is the room. We were in Room 518. When my son used the toilet, terrible things happened when water leakage comes out from nowhere and the toilet floor got flooded. We were transferred to another room (519) when I entered the toilet, a big cockroach approached me. The aircon was set at 17 degrees but the room temperature was hot. When I opened the wardrobe, there is a small fan which I believed is meant to be used because of the aircon problem. The breakfast is just okay but there is a Mcdonalds nearby so we opted to eat our breakfast on the 2nd day.
