When I first arrived the hostel after a long long ride of tour bus from Houayxai, the reception lady gave me the warmest welcoming from Luang Prabang. She provided every useful information you will need to travel around. Their rooms are spacious and super clean. I don’t think there are other hostels that provide free croissant, fruits and hot drink at the front desk!

Loved the location, it’s right in the center of the old town peninsula, convenient walking distance to many main sights and restaurants. We stayed during Lao New Year and the staff even gave us a water gun to join in the fun! Only problem was the other guests, as the hotel stated quiet hours after 11:00 PM, but they were drinking and screaming in the common area until after 2AM (while we had a tour booked starting at 5AM). Despite trying to contact the hotel staff they could only ask the partiers to be quiet, but that didn’t seem to help…

Review of Luang Prabang Village Hotel (Villa Wanika) I had a wonderful stay at Luang Prabang Village Hotel (Villa Wanika). The staff were extremely helpful and made my visit comfortable and enjoyable. I stayed in Room C3 downstairs, which was quiet, cool, and spacious. The room had everything I needed—a comfortable bed, fridge, coat hangers, and a nice shower with good-quality toiletries. The breakfast was modest but satisfying, with croissants, fresh fruit, tea, and coffee—a simple but pleasant way to start the day. The location was perfect—close to the Mekong River, Night Market, and Mount Phousi. It was also conveniently situated for watching the morning alms-giving procession, a beautiful cultural experience. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its great service, comfortable rooms, and excellent location. A lovely place to stay in Luang Prabang!

You get what you pay for. Location is between night market and Mekong river. Good place to stay. My only complain is the abundance of mosquitoes.

I stayed at this hotel with my friend, and we had a wonderful experience. The location was perfect—right next to great restaurants, making it easy to find delicious meals. The hotel itself was beautiful, with a peaceful atmosphere that made our stay even more enjoyable. One of the highlights was waking up in the morning and seeing monks passing by, which added a special touch to our trip. Overall, a fantastic stay, and I would definitely recommend it!

A lovely hotel, in a great location. Staff friendly and accommodated my extended stay. The bed is hard but comfortable. The breakfast is a small selection of fruit and pasties. I really enjoyed my stay here.

Everything was excellent, the only thing that needs to be clean before you book is the definition of breakfast. It was quite small and just a breakfast snack (croissant, coffee, tea, bananas). But nevertheless we would recommend this hotel.

Perfect location. The room is exactly as showm in the pictures, the bed is a bit hard.

As for price, it wasn't anything special. Room was nice, bed comfortable. Location is quite good, short walk to main street. From downsides - this place should remove that it has breakfast, because that donut and banana is hard to call a breakfast, more like snack. So first thing you do after breakfast like this, you just go to eat. As we didnt know that, we had to adjust our day plan a bit.

Quaint little place probably with a lot of history.. has a old lived in look which makes it cosier.. little touches of elegance with glass water bottles and an ornate outside the bathroom sink.. polite staff, helpful and informative, and lovely breakfast

This hotel is strategically located. Near Mekong with many riverside restaurants, and also near the main road where day and night markets conduct their businesses. The hotel is clean and nicely decorated in Balinese style. Love it.
