The hotel is right on the road, a few minutes' drive into the town, half an hour from the nearest gate to Death Valley, and 2 hours from the other gate. The breakfast is quite rich, but the restaurant is crowded. The scenery in the morning was beautiful, with snow on the mountains opposite. Free parking. Hygiene is quite clean.

The location of this hotel across from the Eastern Sierra is absolutely stunning! We always look forward to opening the curtains in the morning and seeing the mountains in full Alpineglow. The room is very comfortable and the breakfast was complete and delicious.

Pros: The room is spacious and clean. They allocate you a parking space matching your room number so it’ll be in front of your room or close enough, making it convenient. Staff in general are friendly except for the lady who checked us in. She was quite curt (not rude) but I guess it’s been a long day. Breakfast food was pretty good with made-to-order pancakes. Sausages and bacon were really nice. We tipped the ladies because this is probably the best BW breakfast we’ve had. Cons: The air-conditioning unit in our room comes on every 3-5 minutes and is extremely loud, disrupting sleep. Wifi is unsecured and almost non-existent. It keeps dropping and takes time to re-connect. so if you need to do some work, it’s not recommended. We had very low phone reception in the area too. Hot water for bathing isn’t really hot. Having cars in front of the units also mean that at 5am-6am you’ll hear a lot of people loading their trucks and setting off. So if you intend to sleep in, it’s not great.

Clean fresh updated rooms, Great water pressure ,with hot showers. Large spacious rooms. Co.fortable beds that are bright and clean.Breakfast was hot and fresh and delicious with good options. Well worth the money paid. I would recommend staying here. It is not far from the city center.

Excellent way to spend a birthday trip. Our room was spacious and clean. I loved the view of Mt. Whitney when we came out in the morning. The hotel is just outside of town. We did have to drive to restaurants, but highway noise was not as bad as I expected and I slept well. The location was convenient to the Eastern Sierra Visitor Center, Alabama Hills hiking, and the highway to Death Valley. Breakfast was typical for a hotel of this class. I thought it was okay, but it didn’t wow me. The breakfast area could get a little crowded. Staff did a good job of keeping items replenished, though.

Very comfortable and clean deluxe queen with Mountain View. Well built with no traffic noise. Close to delightful Lone Pine town. Staff were nice and efficient. The breakfast was high quality for motel buffet, including scrambled eggs and burrito makings. Comfortable stay.

The staff is wonderful, the rooms and morning breakfast are very satisfying, and the view incredible!! I highly recommend staying here. I’ve stayed at other hotels and motels along 395 and I’m often happy with the accommodations; but when I stay at the Best Western Lone Pine I feel extremely welcomed and regret needing to leave. My favorite!
