Dolphin Inn - the Lodge Reviews

I stayed at this hotel during my visit to London. The room was quite ordinary, but the proximity to the train station was a major plus. After a tiring journey to the city, it was nice to have a place nearby to rest. The room was relatively quiet, which was appreciated. However, considering the room rate, I found it a bit expensive for what it offered.

The hotel (lodge) met our needs. Some minor maintenance issues needed attending to. No plug in bathroom, no top on soap dispenser. Only one teaspoon and a single milk supplied. No bathmat or hand towels, although reception provided these when requested. Breakfast OK once a school group departed. Perhaps a separate 30 minute block set aside for groups? Food was basic but sufficient. Overall, the stay represented reasonable value for money.

Just around paddington station, the room is a bit small but clean and tidy enough.

No amenities available in the room.. No guidance, just gives you the keys and you to find out room yourself. But since we didn't know, they allowed us to do late breakfast..

It's in a great location near the station. I stayed in a basement room, so I could hear the trains, but it didn't bother me that much.
