First, the positives: 1. **Exceptional Cleanliness**: Despite the extensive use of wood and carpets, the hotel maintained impeccable hygiene. It was spotlessly clean, reflecting a high level of professionalism. 2. **Tranquil Environment**: The surroundings were incredibly peaceful, offering superb quietness both day and night. 3. **Decent SPA**: The SPA services were quite satisfactory. 4. **Comfortable Slippers**: The complimentary fabric slippers provided were very comfortable. 5. **Outstanding Breakfast Noodles**: The breakfast rice noodles were exceptionally delicious, arguably the best I've tasted in Lijiang. They had a wonderfully rich and layered flavor profile – sour, spicy, savory, and aromatic. Now for the downsides: 1. **Ineffective Butler Service**: The butler service was largely unhelpful. Staff were slow to respond, seemed unfamiliar with the menu, and were generally unable to resolve any problems. 2. **Secluded Location & Limited Amenities**: The hotel's location is quite remote, with very little to explore or do nearby. The property itself isn't very large, and there's no designated area for guests to relax with tea and a book. Therefore, travelers who enjoy such quiet pursuits might find the hotel doesn't fully cater to their needs.
