The Old Town of Lijiang
Writing to thank the fabulous team in Hotel Indigo for taking such good care of us during our two day stay. Service attitude, service mentality, the delivery was all on point. Special thanks to Mr Wayne Wang for going to extra mile with service recovery when I was unable to secure a spa slot and had to forgo the session. He delivered fruits and gifts to my room and made sure I had a wonderful time at dinner. When I checked out the next day, the front desk from another shift was aware of what happened the previous night and took special care to check in with me and apologise. Also, intercontinental which was connected to the hotel had the best Chinese restaurant in Yunnan so far. 398Yuan for a 8 course and michelin star standard meal. We are very impressed. Will recommend others and also come back to stay again.
Hotel Indigo Lugu Lake

Lige Peninsula
One of the reasons for choosing Lugu Lake as a holiday destination this winter is the newly opened Indigo. The stay at Indigo in Moonlight City, Diqing, two years ago left us with very good memories. The hotel is about an hour's drive from Lugu Lake Airport. Unlike those B&Bs close to Lugu Lake, Indigo is located at the foot of Goddess Gemu Mountain, close to a small wetland, without busy traffic and noisy crowds, which is in line with my expectations for a quiet holiday. If you want to go to the lake, the hotel provides free pick-up within 15 kilometers, so it is also quite convenient. When checking in, Cherry at the front desk took the initiative to add me on WeChat and asked me to contact her at any time if I needed anything. Most of the hotel staff are local aborigines, simple and friendly, and at the same time, they are very consistent with the local characteristics of the hotel. The room is spacious, with a balcony and automatic bathroom. The humidifier is also very useful. It has been particularly dry these days, and we have been turning it on almost 24 hours a day. The design style and many decorative details in the room reflect the hotel's main horse caravan culture and Mosuo style. The room cleaning and night turndown are very timely, and moisturizing masks are placed at the bedside every night. The hotel's breakfast is also quite distinctive. Although the breakfast is not large, it can basically meet the needs of various tastes. The steamed dishes are changed every day, and the freshly made rice noodles are very popular with guests. I like steamed sweet potatoes the most, which are sticky and sweet. I eat them every day~ However, the neighborhood restaurant may not be able to serve dishes quickly due to the size of the kitchen. Because of the remote location, we chose to solve the daily dinner in the restaurant. The food in the restaurant is very recommended, but the serving speed still needs to be improved. It is recommended to book the food in advance so that you will not wait until you are hungry. In addition to the rooms, restaurants, and food full of Mosuo style, the hotel also has a grandmother's house for guests to experience and visit. The staff explained to us in detail the Mosuo culture, religious customs and family model represented by the grandmother's house, which made us really feel this folk culture like a living fossil. The most profound feeling of the one-week stay was the thoughtful and kind service of the hotel staff. On the first day of arrival, we all had obvious altitude sickness, and the child even vomited. The staff handled it patiently and asked if we needed oxygen cylinders. Cherry also gave us timely advice and care. Knowing that the child liked the hotel's tangerines, Cherry specially asked the staff to send us a lot. She also picked us up on time and enthusiastically several times to local attractions. The hotel's thoughtful service reflects the concept of Indigo very well. Thanks to Cherry and all the hotel staff for leaving us unforgettable memories of our Lugu Lake vacation. The child was reluctant to leave when we left. There is also an easter egg. Don't miss the hotel's homemade crabapple fruit tea. It is sour and sweet and appetizing, and it is unforgettable~
