Atour Hotel LiJiang Gucheng Dashuiche

The hotel is ideally located right next to the ancient city. With a bus station and tourist routes just downstairs, getting around is incredibly convenient. A short stroll through an underground shopping center leads you directly to the Old Town Waterwheel. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, the service was excellent, and the breakfast spread was generous. However, there were a couple of drawbacks: we could hear the sound of the faucet running in the adjacent room, and the air conditioning unit in our room was quite noisy, which both affected our sleep quality.

A fairly standard business hotel. Its biggest plus is its location right next to the Great Water Wheel in the Old Town, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the area. The staff were exceptionally friendly and even provided complimentary flower cakes and breakfast.

The room was decent, although it was a bit close to the road. Its location is excellent, just a 500-meter walk to Lijiang Ancient City. The hotel breakfast was good. It's ideal for self-drivers, with ample parking available directly behind the hotel. Getting around from here is also very convenient.

The hotel boasts a superb location right next to Lijiang Ancient Town; you can simply walk through an underpass to explore the town. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive; they proactively offer plum juice or mineral water whenever you pass through the lobby. There's also a wide selection of complimentary ice creams, which the kids absolutely loved. Furthermore, the hotel provides a large, free parking lot, making it very convenient for those traveling by car. This hotel is definitely our top recommendation for anyone visiting Lijiang.

Arrived at the hotel in the early hours, and the warm smile from the friendly front desk staff instantly brightened up the gloomy rainy day. The hotel is conveniently located near the North Gate of the ancient city, right on the street, making transportation very easy. This was my first time trying Atour's bedding, and it was indeed incredibly comfortable! They even placed a poetry book by the bedside, which I look forward to reading properly on a future visit. Unfortunately, at 8 AM, the street's garbage truck began playing music loudly and continuously. Even the thoughtful earplugs provided by Atour couldn't block out the deafening sound. However, if you're an early riser and up before 8 AM, it wouldn't be an issue! On the morning of check-out, I was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of snow-capped mountains from the corridor!

After landing in Lijiang, I checked into Atour Hotel (Dashuiche) for a two-night stay. The front desk staff kindly upgraded me to a king room on a higher floor 🧡. Much appreciated! 👍 However, I encountered a couple of issues: - At night, when I was trying to sleep, the guest upstairs kept making a loud thumping/banging noise that went on endlessly! ‼️ - Even though the room's air conditioning was set to 'comfortable cooling', the noise from the AC vent was still quite loud, affecting my sleep quality. Also, while Alipay and WeChat Pay are popular these days, the hotel often hosts foreign guests or those without a local Chinese mobile number. I strongly recommend training the front desk staff on how to properly operate the card payment machine. Overall, despite these points, it was still a good stay.
