"This place is a 10/10 on all fronts- amenities, location, service and experience. From the moment I arrived, this hotel exceeded my expectations. They were quick to come pick me up at the drop off point of the Ancient Town (just a few mins away from the hotel) and helped bring my luggage in. The room is really nice. The attention to detail was impressive and they had everything I needed for a comfortable and luxurious stay. What truly set this place apart was the boss Hwee Ling and the incredible staff. When my 4d3n hiking tour was canceled last minute, they went above and beyond to help me arrange an alternative and make sure I had everything I needed for the trek. Their willingness to assist and the way they took care of me made me feel like a valued friend rather than just a guest. Most impressively, I felt this same level of friendliness with everyone I met in the hotel. I really wanted to extend my stay to experience all the hotel’s activities and also their wine but they were regrettably already fully booked. I’ll definitely be back another time to enjoy all that they have to offer."

"Saw someone recommended this Inn on tiktok. Overall not the best experience staying at this Inn during my stay at Lijiang. The room is small, don’t provide cups(drinking cup) and the lighting in the room are very dim. Yes THE ROOM i mean entire room as in every corners of the room even in the toilet. For ladies who makeup might require some skills on it. Location of this Inn is at the back of an alley. Surrounded by empty lands or empty houses. Can be a challenge to walk around when night fall. Located a short driving distance away from the ancient town. Travel by didi please do note navigated by their hotel name will pin you along the main road. You will have to walk down the alley approximately 300m to the Inn. Hmm breakfast, they only have hard boiled eggs, potatos, porridge and plain noodles ? The positive side of this Inn will go to the service from the hotel bosses. Most of them are kind, helpful and friendly. They will assist and offer help in most of your request."

"I recently stayed at the Shandou had a fantastic experience. The rooms were clean, cozy, and well-appointed, with comfortable beds and modern amenities. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making check-in a breeze. I particularly enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. This location is convenient, situated near local attractions, yet it maintains a peaceful atmosphere. The beautiful garden area was a lovely touch, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.
