Nayuan Alice View Courtyard (Lijiang Ancient City Lion Rock Branch)

The views are absolutely stunning, offering a panoramic outlook over the entire ancient city. The owner provided comprehensive pick-up and drop-off service, so we didn't have to worry about our large luggage. It truly exceeded our expectations.

The B&B is located within the old town, nestled on a hillside, offering fantastic views. Its courtyard is filled with a variety of beautiful flowers and succulents, creating a wonderful ambiance. The interior design also boasts unique charm. The owner provided truly exceptional service. On the day we arrived, he personally helped us carry our luggage up to the B&B. After check-out, we wanted to explore the old town further, but carrying our bags would have been inconvenient. Fortunately, we were able to store our luggage for free at the B&B. When it was time to leave, the owner even escorted us out of the old town and kindly provided directions.

A guesthouse we booked at the last minute, it turned out to be the biggest surprise of our entire trip. We initially thought it would be a real challenge to reach, situated on Lion Mountain, with both kids and suitcases in tow. However, the owner's warm welcome and exceptional hospitality immediately won us over. Though nestled within the Old Town, the guesthouse is not a long walk from where vehicles can drop off guests, and the owner personally assisted us with our luggage. Both the rooms and the courtyard boast beautiful views of the ancient town. Nights were incredibly peaceful, and the panoramic night view of the Old Town from above was simply breathtaking! The children absolutely loved it too! We even ended up extending our stay for an additional two nights!

I arrived on August 4th, and right on the first day, the owner thoughtfully arranged a barbecue for us. It was wonderful to gather with a group of fellow female travelers from all walks of life, sharing food and lively conversation – it felt incredibly cozy and welcoming. The guesthouse boasts stunning views, and I honestly barely stepped out during my stay. Each morning, I simply woke up and breathed in the fresh air right from my room. I truly didn't want to leave once I got here! My dear friends, I'm already looking forward to our next reunion at Nayuan Alice Inn in Lijiang Old Town!

The underfloor heating and humidifier were perfect for tackling the drastic temperature changes at high altitude, allowing me to fall asleep in seconds and wake up naturally refreshed! The host contacted us three days prior to help plan our itinerary, even putting together a comprehensive guide filled with hidden photo ops and tips to avoid tourist traps. What's more, the owner personally cooked for us – truly going above and beyond to cater to our every need! I've already given a glowing recommendation to all my girlfriends! Any cons? The only downside is that it made us so incredibly reluctant to check out! 😭 We're already planning to return for a whole week during the Water Splashing Festival!
