Hotels with Breakfast in Lijiang

The room was far smaller than expected with a very petite though functional bathroom (without any natural light). The two single beds were small and difficult to sleep in. The air conditioning was old and quite poor. It was difficult to bring the temperature down at night. There was one tiny wardrobe that could not hold much clothing at all. There was no tea, coffee or other benefits of an alleged 5 star hotel. The following day, the cleaners (who were fantastic and very nice) brought us a few biscuits and a plate with a few fruit items on it. Two bottles of water were provided each day. The breakfast had a good selection of possible dishes though the staff did not refill regularly so many items became unavailable during breakfast. The dishes were very Chinese orientated, which was not a problem given that we were the only foreigners in the hotel. The reception staff were excellent, very helpful and supportive.

The hotel is next to Lijiang Old Town, within a 10-minute walk. It receives tour groups from all over the country and also holds some meetings. Our individual travelers had a good experience staying here. The hotel will send a car to pick them up at the airport and station, and can also provide tour charter tickets. The standard room environment is OK and relatively clean. The bathroom also has a dry and wet separation. Outside the window is a garden courtyard of the hotel, which is quite unique. There is not much noise at night. Occasionally, other guests in the corridor talk loudly, and the soundproofing is not good. The service staff are very good. The overall feeling is good

The hotel is close to the ancient town of Suhe, the environment is great, the room is quiet, the breakfast is rich, and you can see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain outside the restaurant. Most importantly, from the lobby manager to the cleaning lady, everyone is very warm and polite. It was very comfortable to stay here during the Spring Festival.

Indigo Lijiang Hotel is located just outside the ancient city, offering both convenience and safety for exploring the area. The rooms are impeccably clean and functional, and the gardens, with their meticulously groomed trees, shrubs, and flowers, are a testament to the housekeeping team and the gardeners’ dedication. We were warmly welcomed by the friendly restaurant staff, notably Mike, whose constant smile, helpfulness, and politeness stood out. Special thanks to Cindy, who truly enhanced our stay. She attended to us at check-in and she helped to arrange tickets to the snow mountain and assisted with restaurant reservations. We accidentally left something in our room, Cindy promptly informed us and arranged to send the item to our next hotel. We truly appreciate your kindness, sincerity and warmth, Cindy! We also want to thank Morna who ensured a fast and smooth checkout. Indigo is not just a lovely place to stay; the dedicated team makes it an exceptional experience. We would gladly return!

Location is best, right next to the Ancient town. Room is very spacious and breakfast was best, had a variety of options and most importantly delicious. Worth for staying. The hotel is very big so you need to take a golf car to your room. Walking will be little tired. Hotel is a bit old but still it’s very clean.

Friendly and respectful staff. Room in clean, bed is comfy, and quiet. Free upgrade to view the YuLong Snow Mountain from room. Thank you ☺️ Stay happily and sleep comfortably. Will come back again. We had a very disappointing experience at Pullman Lijiang, which makes us think less of the brand and it’s positioning. I don’t recommend this hotel but to be objective here are some things I liked and didn’t like about the hotel. What I liked: - The location was good. - Well-designed spacious rooms. - Interesting architecture and good view of the mountains. What I didn’t like: - The wifi was not working, it was designed for locals and the registration system with WeChat and SMS did not support foreigners. I brought up this issue multiple times with the staff, the issue was passed from one person to next and eventually was not resolved and was quickly forgotten. - The hotel served cheap Lipton tea which was a big surprise given that Yunnan is a land of tea and has so much more to offer. - The toilet door is not designed well, there is no proper ventilation and sometimes the door closes and you need to push really hard to open, not very safe if the glass breaks. - The service was poor, we stayed in many different hotels while travelling in the Yunnan region and this hotel lacks hospitality, the staff is indifferent and don’t even try. - Hot spring is only available for the highest categories, this was not clearly stated when booking. - Overall I don’t recommend this hotel, it looks good but the service and experience was lacking. There are plenty of other and better options for you to choose from in Lijiang.

Muyuntang is by far the best ‘minsu’ we’ve ever stayed at. The room is so spacious and clean, the bed is super comfy, the staff is friendly and helpful, we just feel so homey staying here. The location is great, 3mins walk to the Main Street of the South Gate. The homestay is at a relatively quiet area in the ancient city, but also close to the main area. On the last day, I forgot to bring the clothes that I hang at the common area, the staff even helped me to arrange delivery to my next hostel. So grateful for that! Not to mention ‘SI GUA’ the golden retriever of the owner, she is so adorable and well behaved 💜 We totally loved the stay here, and will definitely come back if we revisit Lijiang. Wonderful first time trip to Yunnan. The inn is clean and have all the amenities I need. The staff are very friendly and helpful, speedy assistance when I request for something. The breakfast mixian is yummy. The lady boss provides excellent service. She helped to book all my major transportation to n fro airport, visits to the snow mountain and musical play and even the purchase of tickets. She'll share info of where are the places worth going in Lijiang ancient city. The various shops I went, to take cultural costumes photo and purchase of silver accessories and to eat are recommended by her as well. She even helped me to book the mini tour for my shangri-la trip in between. You can basically ask her anything you need advise for travel in Yunnan. Very glad that I've chosen this place and I'll stay here again if I do come back to Lijiang.

The resort is nicely built and designed. Enjoyed the stay thoroughly. The breakfast was great wide range of foods, Chinese and western. Fruits were aplenty, complimentary bottled waters are replenished daily. Beds were comfortable but pillows were too soft to my liking. The room itself is a bit dated, front door is not properly aligned and closing it need to push harder. The cleaning person were not thorough enough, while the black marbled floor is clean, the carpet could not be said so as there were stains and foods stuff sticking to the carpet from previous customers.
