M’s Hotel Gojo Odawara Reviews

It is in a more residential neighborhood of Kyoto. 30mins walk from downtown/Gion district. It is easy to find and has towels and toiletry free to grab in the lobby.

Room feels very cosy and neat. The room is big enough for 2 big luggages. Fast check in and check out.

Compact and neat hotel for your stays

It took some time to check in. There was an error when we checked in. There are no free coffee, which is sad. It was nice inside the room, it was functional but its too small. We needed to walk a mile to go to train and bus station. But It was a good overall experience.

Very nice hotel, clean and quiet. Good location.

Make sure to call in the first time you arrived because the PIN code they gave you doesn't open the door. However, aside from the slight mishap, everything else is fine. The hotel is close to bus stops and the subway stations, and there's Famima and Lawson down the street. I think the best thing about the hotel is the free laundry. There's two washing machines and two dryers, so you may have to share (and the dryer takes a long time complete if you don't use both at the same time), but they're free. There's a generous amount of mangas (in English) near the entrance, so it's definitely a winner for me. If there's another thing I'm uncomfortable with it's that the walls are thin, even by Japanese standards. If you have some rowdy neighbours, you may hear them even in your own room (or especially in the toilet).
