Exceeded our expectations! It is our first time to try a Checkin hotel and we weren't expecting much. What suprised us is the washing machine in the room, and the overflowing drinks in the lobby, the onsen, and the free bread during breakfast. The location is also near nishiki market and other tourist attractions so we don't have to travel too far.

Excellent service from the hotel staff. They provide supplies to the room every day. Everything is clean and working. The only downside is that the room is very small, but I already knew that and it's common in most hotels at this price point. I would stay here again if I return to Kyoto.

The accommodation is a little old, but the service of the employees was good, and the best thing was the location.

Great hotel and wonderful location. The subway near by is a small terminal for the HK line which is helpful to go directly to monkey park & bamboo forest and direct to Osaka (~5min walk). Also the market is near by (less than 5 min walk). The baths were great, always had clean towel, maybe even too many lol. Rooms are small like rest of urban Japan but everything was great. Only complaint would be the smoking room is tiny (max 3 people) wish they had an outdoor option too.

cozy and simple place, loved the free flow drinks at the lobby, plenty of amenities available to take at the lobby, they change towel upon request, they give 2 bottles of water everyday, great location, staff are friendly as well! would definitely recommend to others looking for a place to stay! it’s abit small but worth the price

A good hotel, everything you need, even a washing machine and a bathtub in the room. At the reception you can get personal care products, tea, coffee. For breakfast you can get croissants and bread. Convenient location, many shopping streets nearby. But still there are comments. The room is very small: 90% of the space is occupied by the bed. There are only a few hangers. There is nowhere to store clothes, no wardrobe, no chest of drawers. The window in my room was broken, it did not close completely. There was mold in the bathroom, I attached a photo. The soundproofing is poor, you can hear your neighbors behind the wall, but it helps that everyone behaves quite quietly. The staff does not speak English, only at the most basic level. However, everyone tries to help, to the point that they will come to the room and show everything, and explain on their fingers. I can't help but mention: I bought washing powder at the reception desk to wash my clothes - it turned out to be very cheap, the clothes after it were as if they had been washed with laundry soap. For a hotel of this level, you can take care of the quality of the products.

My classmate is going to Kyoto for a trip and specifically wants to stay in Shijo. This hotel is right next to Shijo Station. The location is great. The key point is that there is a washing machine in the room. The price is also very cheap. Although it has a history, it is very clean.

The room is quite small and only one suitcase can be opened, which makes it difficult to walk. But there is a bathhouse on the top floor where you can soak in it. It's quite comfortable. Free facial masks are available. Luggage storage is available.

The location is convenient, and it only takes about 10 minutes to get there by bus or subway. The hotel is in a great location with convenient transportation. The price didn't increase much during the New Year. The front desk provided a lot of things, free coffee and juice. You can also take a hot spring bath on the top floor. The experience was great!
