I stayed one week there and appreciated every day.
- Lonely island feeling far from the world.
It's a must to stay to avoid the crowd of 11am/2pm and have a chunk of paradise for yourself outside those hours. Particularly to avoid the queue to climb the hill.
- Amazing sunset and view from the top of the hill every day.
- The staff was so caring and nice. Particularly mister Tei and miss Been while I became sick the last day.
- Diving center right on your doorstep.
- free shuttle boat to Koh Tao every day if you miss the civilization
- every bungalow have good orientation for the view.
- internet was ok.
- The shower pressure might bother some but it's not a problem under this weather.
It would be better to start to pay attention of the effect of the crowd on the nature to preserve it though. The people coming for 2/3h are so careless(i saw shoes, straw, bottles...even socks! Forgotten)
Maybe best to raise the price of the room and only allow resort resident to enter, to control the flow of people on the island without losing revenue.

Beautiful island and the hotel consists of cute little bungalows. Well furnished with everything you need. We were there in April/May and had the island to ourselves in the evenings.
The island is only open to tourists between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
And when we were there there were hardly any visitors in the bungalows.
An island and a beautiful little bungalow all to yourself was a great thing.
P.S.: Getting up at 6 a.m. and going snorkeling was also well worth it. We saw lots of small and also larger sharks.

Wonderful, heavenly place. Very polite and caring staff. I had a late arrival and they organized a boat for me to meet, made sure that I did not go hungry and cooked dinner. From morning until 10.30 and after 15.00 there was a feeling that the island was entirely yours)
I will definitely come back! These were unforgettable 3 days!

The hotel service is very good. You must try the roast chicken in the restaurant. The facilities are average. The most satisfying thing is that the hotel will arrange a free shuttle boat to Koh Tao.
In addition to swimming and snorkeling, you can also go up to the top of the mountain to enjoy the beautiful scenery of this beautiful place.

Many years ago, I couldn't forget Nanyuan, and I finally had the opportunity to come again. I was a little hesitant when I read the comments before, and the XC information said there would be a power outage, but luckily I didn’t give up. If the environment can be rated as six stars, I will rate it six stars. The South Park is so beautiful, especially when there is no one in the early morning and evening, you can swim quietly with the beautiful fishes. Of course, the rooms are not comparable to high-star hotels, but the facilities are all available.
The room is still powered all day long, and the air conditioner can always be turned on.
The food and beverages at the resort are a bit more expensive in Thailand, but it is acceptable. In contrast, drinks and water are a bit more expensive.
The attitude of the service staff is also good.
What needs to be mentioned is that the rooms are one by one wooden houses located on the mountain. The cheaper the room, the more mountains to climb, but the staff will help you carry the boxes.

Very datet resort, very crowded Island between 10-15. Before an after that time there are a lot of divers in de waters around de Island. So not only for the guests of the resort as they promist. We got a big extra charge for making a extra bed for our Son and at the end of our stay a big bill for foods and beverages. Partly nog our bills, of with extra never ordert food. Breakfast was included at our booking, but was also charged. This was a very expensive trip, it was definately not worth it.

We visited Nang Yuang in 1994, and we remember that it was really a paradise. The 6.2.2022 we came back. When You arrive they tell You that You can not bring plastic bottles or food with You. No fins and beach shoes are allowed, and no towels on the sand. They want to protect the coral! I said that I would go for free diving and snorkling to the Japanese gardens, where the water is at least 6m deep. No way! Once You are on the island, You will see diver rookies with the whole equipment on the beach. You will find sunbeds for rent (no towels on the beach...). The main part of the island is covered with constructions like restaurant, storehouse etc. (no plastic bottles, no food …). ATTENTION on the beach: It seems that there is nobody, who takes care of the beach: This means that You can find in the sand everything that the sea delivers: plastic bottles, every kind of floaters, LIGHT BULBS etc. I spend 20 minutes in collecting rubbish from the beach, and brought it to the lady, where I paid 200 baht entrance fee asking her if that is what I paid for. She told me that the island is rented out to a private company for 30 years. I recommend to watch the pictures with attention!!!

beautiful place, very rude and unfriendly staff, we arrived on the island at 8-30 in the morning, we got there without any problems, but after 100 meters a woman attacked us with a scream, trying to kick us out, because the island opens at 10-00, the boat on which we sailed already left and we could not return, the woman started hysterical and completely lost her face, we calmly tried to explain to her that we physically cannot leave the island, then she began to call someone and tell something extremely emotionally, for our luck her interlocutor was much more adept and allowed us to go for 200 baht per person. Later we watched as the rest of the tourists who arrived before 10 were forced to stand on the pier in the sun, while the staff sat in the shade, doing nothing and laughing at people in the sun. If you decide to visit this place, be prepared for something that you are not welcome here

For us this place was like heaven... It is simple, but the surroundings make up for everything.... First we visited the island on a day trip, were happy to find out that you can stay here. I just sat on the terrace and I've felt the happiest. Tourists come during the day, but after3-4 pm you have the island for yourself. Lots of fish and beautiful corrals- bring your snorkel gear!

Really beautiful place and the water is crystal clear. This island is absolutley worth a visit. The low rating I gave it is because of all smoking guests. The rules on the island is that you can’t bring plastic bottles to the beach (really good rule) but it’s ok to smoke on the beach. Why? A lot of butts in the sand and the water. And the restaurant have big signs of No Smoking… but they don’t care. It’s 2024.. come on. if you really have to smoke, walk to the side and Bin your F****ing Butts.

Worst hotel we stayed in, in Thailand, we travelled around Thailand for 2 months. The island is absolutely beautiful and the snorkelling was amazing we swam with black tip sharks everyday we was there. We finished our Thailand adventure on this island celebrating our 23rd wedding anniversary which was ruined by the hotel and the very miserable unfriendly and very unhelpful lady at the reception. We booked and paid for a superior room but when we checked in and got to our room K3 we realised and was told by staff that we had been put into a standard room because they didn’t have a superior available so we was trapped in that disgusting filthy dirty room with ripped and stained bed sheets and dirty thread bear towels (see pics) the bathroom sink leaked all over the floor every time we used the tap. The lady at reception didn’t care and offered no solution all she said was the room K3 had a nice view which it did have a lovely view but the view didn’t make up for the disgusting room we was forced to sleep in and was over charged for. After 2 days of emails and trying to make the lady understand that they shouldn’t of put us in a dirty standard Room when we had paid much more for a standated room she finally gave us a very small refund which didn’t come close to covering the difference in price. This is no way to run a hotel, very unprofessional !!!!!!! The food and drinks are very expensive and the food was only just ok.

It's unbelievable what "comes in" here from 10am onwards from Koh Tao. Masses of people who have booked a day at the beach here, pay 100THB for a deck chair and by 4pm the hordes have disappeared. The only hotel is therefore overpriced, the bungalows on the hillside are accessible via steep stairs, only for athletes. The reception was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was very good. The restaurant, which is not part of the hotel, has overpriced prices and a mediocre atmosphere. Conclusion: Anyone who thinks that an expensive hotel will bring exclusivity, peace and quiet, etc. will be extremely disappointed.

Splendid heavenly place. Welcome, services and especially the kindness of the staff. 1 place where you will love to live, far from everyone. Ideal for people who like snorkeling, magnificent fish, as well as small black tip sharks.

The lights go off and on all the time. Some water flows, some doesn't. Food was forced to be eaten at the resort's restaurant. The taste is good enough to eat, but secretly expensive. Drinking water is provided in the room, 1 small bottle per person per day. You have to buy an additional 40 baht per bottle. Be careful with money. A deposit of 50% was already made. Before the day of arrival, the credit card was charged another 50% until complete. When checking in they were told to pay another 50%. We had to find evidence of the argument. stay for a long time Until I'm in the mood to travel.

The small island is undoubtedly a visual dream, but unfortunately I can't say the same about the accommodation. The rooms were old, dilapidated and not at all what you would expect from a hotel. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired everywhere, and even after a room upgrade there was no real improvement. Here too, the staff had to rework, but even here the deficiencies could not be completely eliminated. Because of this disappointment, we will leave the small island earlier than planned. A pity.
