Popular Koh Samui 4-star Hotels

Away from the hustle of central Chaweng, so is a good spot to be based for quiet times and used as a base to explore the island. Beachfront pool villas are nice, large and great views of the ocean. Private pool is a bonus and well worth the upgrade. Hotel was busy when I stayed and everyone seemed to be happy and enjoying themselves. The pool isn’t the largest but plentiful for the amount of rooms. Don’t forget, there are the villas with private pools, so a fair number of guests will be in their own area. Access to the beach is not directly in front of the hotel, but that’s a good thing otherwise I would be hearing everyone in front of my villa each day. Access is the side of the resort just past the restaurant. Along this stretch of beach has a few other hotel bars and restaurants to eat and drink in and if you head to the furtherest headland point, and head inland, you will come across a handful of bars and restaurants. As many people have said, the hotel is next to a road - but like most hotels in Samui, it’s just the design of the island. You can avoid the main road for your walk to the local area by going along the stretch of beach. And when you are on the island, why wouldn’t you want to walk along the beach?! So don’t listen to those comments about nothing nearby. If you want the hustle of the nightlife, Chaweng central is 15 minutes away. Get on the shuttle or order a taxi for 300thb. It’s a 4 star hotel, trying to get back to some kind of normal after covid and over time, I am sure the owners will reinvest their money to make improvements where some other guests have commented about in other posts but I do think it is dependent on the room type you book and/or are assigned as most of them are fine. Give it a go, it is worth it. I’ve been to many hotels over the years - more than the average Joe - and it’s only recently where I’ve checked in and out of two hotels on the same day in all these years.

Het personeel was zo lief en behulpzaam. Vooral Kea stond altijd voor ons klaar! De kamers werden dagelijks goed bijgehouden. Het hele hotel werd dagelijks goed bijgehouden. Uitgebreid ontbijt! En super lekkere lunch, avondeten en cocktails. Mooi schoon zwembad. Kortom perfect!!! Mooi strand en warm blauw water. Werd elke dag schoongemaakt.

Recently stayed at this hotel for 1 week, arrived from the Airport with no luggage as Bangkok airways lost it, checked in to the hotel and was met by a lovely member of staff who was waiting for me, she offered me a welcome drink on arrival which was very much appreciated after a long flight. After check in, was shown to my room which was a pool side deluxe room with Double bed and En-suite. Room was very clean, spacious and came with Fresh towels, Toiletries, a Mini fridge stocked with beers, satellite T.V, Aircon and some free drinks/snacks. My stay came with free breakfast every morning, which was very handy and the selection was always really nice. Lots of fresh fruit, cereals, pastries, eggs cooked to the way you wanted along with a choice of tea/coffee and fresh juices. Staff are soo friendly and welcoming, they clean your room everyday and provide fresh sheets and towels as well as toiletries. The Hotel is quite modern and staff had decorated the reception for Chinese New Year with lanterns and fairy lights. The position of the hotel is good, about 10 min drive in a taxi to Fisherman's village, which is full of bars/restaurants and shops. The hotel is also right on the beach, so you have the option to swim in the sea or the pool and look out onto the amazing views. I loved my stay at this hotel and would highly recommend! (Only negative thing I can think of is that the Pool Bar was never open, so it would be good to see this open in the future).

I loved this place! Such a lush, green, peaceful environment to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Samui. We stayed in a Nora villa and it was really nice, spacious and tropical with a little veranda. The pool area is beautiful and the beach as well. Breakfast is sufficient and the staff attentive and friendly. The only downsides were the small gym - it was always occupied and I wish they would expand it. And the Wi-Fi in the room was a bit unreliable at times but these are just small details. There are some nice little restaurants within walking distance but otherwise hiring a scooter or using songthaews is to recommend.

We have just returned home from a fantastic stay at the Passage on Samui. The hotel and Staff are truly excellent and do everything to make sure that your stay is as perfect as possible. All Staff on the hotel was fantastic but Cat and Ben in the restaurant was just further fantastic – catering to all our needs and just very pleasant company to be around and enjoy some small talk with. We stayed in a 2 bedroom ”villa” with a private pool and that was simply just perfect for our family vacation, we had a small ”kitchen” / lounge area besides the 2 bedrooms, where the kids often had dinner from room service. The private pool is not very large, but it was very easy and nice for the kids to quickly jump into the pool and when we wanted more the hotel offered 3 large pools on the hotel grounds. The hotel is right on the beach and right in front of the hotel the beach is clear of rocks and coral. - There are corals to both sides of the hotel and further out as well, which makes this beach very protected. When we stayed at the hotel the tide was out most of the day, which made the beach very shallow and not good for swimming, so for beach swimming we had to get up and complete this in the mornings. Everything about this hotel we will highly recommend, both for families with kids, but also for adults seeking a nice, relaxed vacation - there are plenty of room for both at the same time. The hotel is a bit away from everything else, so some kind of private transportation is highly recommended.

We stayed here for 6 nights. in January 2023. Staff were friendly, respectful, accommodating & wanted to make our stay wonderful. Special thanks to a lady who ensured our room was really special and cleaned. The room was great and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was awesome and an old man was there, paying attention to all the guests. The hotel in ideally located right on a road opposite of Chaweng Noi beach that is very quiet and amazing place to suntan and relax. A seven eleven is near by the Hotel just 10 min walk. it is 100 Baht to take into the town center by tuk tuk. We rent a motorbike from the hotel which was brand new and we did not need to pay for a taxi anymore. The hotel restaurant offers a variety of foods & overlooks a nice pool with lovely setting. I would definitely come back here & would recommend it without hesitation. Thank you Chaweng Noi Pool Villa for an amazing holiday.

My husband and I stayed at Rockys for 7 nights on October...we had the best experience. The resort is beautiful and the staff so obliging and friendly. We had a few meals in the restaurant and the daily breakfast - the food was amazing and of such a high quality. We enjoyed a complimentary cocktail evening and a fire show. Our unit had everything we could desire - comfortable bed and large bathroom. The pools were both great and the beach was beautiful and the ocean good to swim in - we also used the kayak and there are paddleboards and sand shoes available to use. Arianna the front Manager was so helpful. We would highly recommend.

The fact that we were in Banana Fan Sea Resort for the 16th time this year speaks for itself and actually tells everything. The hotel is located in the south part of Chaweng Beach, the most beautiful section for us. Fine, white sand, flat falling. Unlike the north, you can swim well and bath at any time, because this beach area is not affected by a pre-stage riff or by strong time effects. The plant itself is covered by the great atmosphere of the green tropical garden facility, in which the bungalows and two-stage residential units are distributed. We always have one of the beautiful Deluxe Garden Bungalows, which is strictly suitable for us with 2 people. The facilities are modern and it is all you need, including beach bag, flip flops, bathman, water cooker, coffee, tea, etc. To pool and beach it is just a cat jump. The resort has a superb infinity pool with pool bar. A cocktail and look at the sea here. At breakfast you can sit with beautiful views of the sea at the open air Baitong restaurant. Breakfast offers fresh egg food, hot Asian dishes and soups, various bread varieties, sauce, cheese, marmelade, nutella, corn syrup, pancakes, fresh waffles, baked beans, salads, bacon, sauce, baked beans, Fresh fruit, coffee specialities at your request, etc. The staff is unique! Whether management, front office, restaurant/bar, cleaning staff, gardener, driver, etc. - all are extremely lovely, helpful, engaged, professional and everything always with a smile or a little fun. Guest service is written here large. Many of us have known for years and we are very looking forward to seeing next year! We can only recommend the hotel without reservations. Had an amazing stay at the Bandara resort. We had room 146 which was great and the gardens were Beautiful!! Special shout out to Kitti , who is a fantastic host and made our stay extra special!! A lovely house keeper for our first week who worked very hard to make our room look amazing and smell Devine when came back after a day out. And Faye/kaye sorry I’m not 100% at breakfast she was lovely too. Special staff deserve a special mention!! We will definitely return! Great location to walk to fisherman’s village for great restaurants x 😀

about 10mins drive from airport to hotel. hotel location is good, near to central plaza & chaweng night market approx 10-12mins walk. it's a one way street so not too many cars around. the beach is also less than a minute walk from hotel. stayed at level 3 garden view. night time we could still hear music but it was fine, music was not too loud that we couldnt sleep. door closing from neighbours did affect our sleep though. perhaps soft closing of doors could be implemented. housekeeping staff was friendly too, only that we didnt ask for housekeeping everyday because after our 1st housekeeping, our entire room smell bad it could be due to the mop and cleaning materials used which cause the smell.. breakfast spread was excellent, variety of international cuisine. live egg and noodles station, foods were getting refilled promptly. if you are staying in the hotel around 2-4pm, there's happy hour 1-1. we ordered chicken sandwich as well, it was superb. swimming pool is clean too, many beach bench available, beach towel is available as well.
