3-Star Hotels in Koh Samui

What an amazing hostel. Everything was beautiful. The lockers were the biggest lockers ever. It was literally 2 lockers put into one for those who had a suitcase yu r in luck. 2 pools and a beautiful bar overlooking out into the ocean. The only hostel that i need in koh samui. This is for a fact “the spot”. Whether youre backpacking and need a bunkbed or if u just want to get drinks or food. They got a huge selection of drinks and food. Amazing spot.

Very good location. Beach and water clean with a lot of fish. Always available sun beds at the Beach and at the pools. Breakfast is very good. Like all the fresh fruit. We would like to come back.

This is my third time staying at Samui mermaid. Can not fault this resort, it’s just what I need to recharge my soul before flying home. I stayed the deluxe side with its own pool and it’s worth spending the extra pennies if you enjoy having a pool all to yourself 😊 Stay are lovely as always, location is brilliant, views are amazing. All n all if you want somewhere to chill out, relax and recharge your soul before flying home then this is the place to stay! I will definitely be coming back again x

Great stay. Clean room. Nice swimming pool by the ocean. Walking distance to fisherman’s village .

We had a beach bungalow (737) and it was absolutely amazing, it was right on the beach front a few steps away from the sand, bed was comfy the tv was good and the air con was efficient and kept us cool of a night time. You can just sit on the terrace and stare out onto the gorgeous beach with crystal clear water. The staff couldn’t do enough for you and really went above and beyond for my 21st birthday and done the room up and made me a cake. They was very friendly and polite and always made an effort to speak to you as you passed them. The food was good especially for free. The location was very good as you had the peace and quiet of an essentially private beach in a quiet area but down the road a 400 baht return taxi ride away was chaweng (central samui) which was very lively and had a lot of resteraunts and bars. Overall a faultless stay and I’d recommend this hotel to anybody.

Some rooms needs to be updated and a deep cleaned (It’s not Dirty, it’s just that it has build-up Grime). Our shower didn’t have running warm water…Can’t complain too much since Koh Samui is 78°F to 91°F all year round. They also got really good food for Lunch and Dinner. I absolutely love it. :D I’m a fan of Tom Yum. Their Tom Yum is really good. For my Westerner Friends, Tolerate the Lack of Western Food and try Thai Food since you’re in Thailand and not your Country of Origin.

This hotel is stunning. Just how it looks in the photos. The staff are friendly and helpful. It has been a pleasure to stay here. We stayed in their cottage room as did our friends who got a free upgrade upon arrival to a bigger cottage. Rooms are clean but are very dimly lit. It is in a jungle like setting and very peaceful with a few little geckos scurrying around. They have breakfast included at their on-site restaurant, it’s ok with very limited options but a very good cup of tea! The pool is a good size and the beach is directly opposite. The hotel provides beach/pool towels in the room. It’s a nice place to stay as it’s just a few minutes walk from the mayhem that is further down the road. At the top of the road from the hotel there are many shops such as a pharmacy, a shopping centre, Starbucks, McDonald’s and Burger King.

When booking and looking at the photos on the booking website I used I was very much looking forward to this stay. When I arrived my first impression was I couldn't wait to leave. We were shown to a small dark dingy room but told we could upgrade to a superior room. Thankfully it was much better, but still nothing like that shown on the booking site. Don't get me wrong this place is very inexpensive and in a nice location but it could be so much better. It was dirty, we had to go to Lotus's to get cleaning products. The bed may as well be a sheet of chipboard, I'm not sure there was actually a mattress on it? In the three days we stayed the room was not cleaned, bins emptied or anything. The pool area was dirty, people sitting around smoking ****, coughing and spitting; again the photos on the website make it look awesome - in real life not so Definitely not a boutique hotel. On the positive the desk staff are friendly and helpful.

Living in this hotel with family in December 2019. A cheap hotel, but everything is clean. Breakfasts are delicious, cleaned in the room every day. The pets, cockroaches, ants in the room were not) Before the sea 200 meters, you can swim on Chavenge and Chaveng Noe, go the same way. On the way to the sea (50 steps from the hotel) Russian Diving Center and Russian Motor rental, without a passport security (!!!) . With drivers riding on Ko Tao(super!), in motorbike took a bike for all the rest. New bikes, low prices, recommend! Also recommend to take a room without a view on the road, sometimes at night was noisy. The rest was great!

Came to our room to find things sifted through and items missing from our suitcases. Told night time staff, he said to return in the morning, in the morning she told us she will check and let us know, about 4:30h later we went and asked what happened and if they checked footage, she claimed she didn't have time to call us and she showed us a few seconds of a person leaving and said see they didn't take anything. We asked to see the full footage. On footage, the housekeeper was in our room for 30 minutes, yet nothing was replenished except towels changed, room was not cleaned as seen in pictures. Manager said it takes them 15 -20 minutes to clean a room and change everything, she was there for over 30 and didn't do any housekeeping, no cleaning, no new sheets. She also hid a large bag by the door, partially seeb, previous housekeepers left everything by the stairs and had cleaning products , this one didn't. Only 1 tiny bottle. When we asked them about the duration of her stay in the room given the fact nothing was actually done, They had no explanation for that. Both our suitcases and nicely folded H & M bag were sifted through. We came for our honeymoon, and it is our 9th hotel in Thailand. Its an absolutely shocking and frustrating experience. We asked to cancel the rest of the stay as we wanted to leave. Manager Grace Lwin first said they will refund, than returned and said that they can't refund , that I have to contact Expedia. Expedia was waiting on approval of the booking management. Due to the lack of care we decided to involve tourist police. What an awful experience to have. No one should be looking through your things at a hotel room, it's a violation of privacy and trust. Hotel safety is a priority and this hotel doesn't have it. Update: Booking manager Grace Lwin told us she wants to come to the room to look through our things because she said she wants ”to check if you lie”. What?? We showed her. If you check our room, you should check your employees house too but of course they only checked us! We started recording everything on our camera as we couldn't believe what was happening. We found a different hotel and checked out early. On top of everything, Its the only hotel out of now 10 hotels we have been to in Thailand where the lock to the room doors doesn't work, you can't lock from inside, and the room itself is in bad shape.
