The room is big enough, the hot spring is quite comfortable, and dinner is provided. The environment is not bad.

Although it is a bit old-fashioned, the service is attentive and the hot spring is very comfortable. It is just a bit cold on the mountain and the breakfast is limited.

Booked based on good reviews but was disappointed. The room is cold, the refrigerator is not cold, the amenities are not good, The comforter is thin and cold, so I can't sleep I feel like I'm hiding the hotel in the old building, appealing only to new people Not enough variety of breakfast for the price too many things to regret The omelet was just delicious! ️

This hotel is on beautiful grounds but once you go inside it’s terrible. The overwhelming musty smell was awful, everyone on our tour commented on the musty smell. My room had a large water stain on the ceiling. The buffet dinner looked good but everything was ice cold. The only good thing was the sashimi. The beds were uncomfortable and the whole place needs a serious remodel. Staff was nice for hotel, but seemed short staffed in dining room where you have to bus your own tables.

We stayed in a deluxe room in the South Wing as a family of three with an elementary school child. The exterior and interior had the atmosphere of an old-fashioned resort from the Showa era, but if you don't mind that, I think it's a great place. The room was very spacious, with four beds and a sofa set, so we were able to relax comfortably. The windows were large and open. The place was cleaned well, but the furniture was old and the atmosphere was far from that of a resort. We used the hot spring facility "Shinrin no Yu" on the premises. There were many small baths both indoors and outdoors, which we enjoyed. However, they also offer day-use bathing, so it was quite crowded and we didn't feel like we could relax very much. The food was buffet style, and the selection was excellent for both dinner and breakfast. It's amazing that you can eat all you want of crab and eel. However, you should not expect too much from the taste of the eel, regardless of the crab. There are many other delicious dishes besides crab and eel, and we couldn't try them all in one night. I don't think you'll get bored even if you stay for several nights. Tsumagoi Resort offers a wide range of activities, including horse riding, treasure hunting, and kick scooter rentals, which the kids loved. The site was large, so we were glad we rented a cart to get around. It was a very fun resort for kids, but for adults it was a bit old-fashioned with a Showa-era feel. However, the price was very reasonable (just under 30,000 yen for a family of three with two meals), so for the price and the variety of activities, it's definitely 5 stars.

Response from Property: Thank you very much for staying with your family at Tsumagoi Resort Irodori no Sato. We are very happy to read your detailed impressions. We are very honored that you enjoyed the spaciousness and openness of the Deluxe Room, and that your children enjoyed the activities to the fullest. On the other hand, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the oldness of the facilities and the congestion. We are particularly sorry that you were unable to spend a relaxing time due to the congestion at the Forest Baths. We also thank you for your valuable feedback about the buffet, which mainly featured crab and eel. We will continue to strive to improve the quality of our food and provide a wide variety of menus to satisfy our customers. We are very encouraged to hear that you and your family created fun memories throughout your stay. All of our staff will continue to work hard to make our resort a satisfying place for everyone. We look forward to your next visit.

The female staff member in charge of archery from 2pm on August 12, 2024 was very kind to the children, and even a first grade girl was able to hit the target from the same distance as an adult. She also took care of my injured arm, which was very good. I gave it a 5-point rating because the staff was very high quality.

The hotel is located on a very large site. At the entrance gate, we received an explanation and a map of the site, then headed to the check-in building. After checking in, we received a room key, a ticket for Shinrin-no-Yu, dinner and breakfast tickets, etc. at the front desk, and drove our car to the hotel building where we were staying and entered our room. Since Shinrin-no-Yu is open from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., we decided to hurry up and check the bus schedule. (There are 2-4 buses on the site per hour.) We had just left. They said it was a few minutes on foot, so when we looked outside, we saw a sign that said Shinrin-no-Yu with an arrow. We decided to go. We walked down the corridor and went down a few stairs and arrived. About 3 minutes? It was faster than waiting for the bus for 15 minutes!! On the way back, we took the bus. There were several baths, so it was very warm. The facility was also nice and clean. The food was as shown in the photos on the hotel's website. I thought there was some kind of ○○ fair, but I didn't notice it. The breakfast was average. Is that why there is no particular mention of it on the website? The dining area is large, so it was nearly full for both dinner and breakfast, but it wasn't so crowded that you had to wait to get your food, so I didn't feel stressed. I couldn't adjust the temperature in the room well, so it was hot at night. The bed was very hard, and I woke up many times. So, when I woke up in the morning, I thought I'd take a bath, but the forest bath was closed, and the garden view bath in the building was also closed. I couldn't take a bath in the morning. I had no choice but to use the bath in my room. I was worried because there wasn't enough water in the sink, but the bath was separate and had enough water, and I was able to fill it up in no time. (lol) I wish I had looked into the beds and hot springs a little more, since I was going to the dog run and eat.

The hotel is large, so the guide and explanation of how to get around was very thorough. I was reluctant to take the shuttle bus to the "Shinrin-no-Yu" bath, but when I got there, I enjoyed the various baths. The tea ceremony in particular is typical of Shizuoka. There was also a sauna. However, it closes early, so be careful. There were quite a few people who came by car and used it for day trips. I stayed in the South Wing. The twin room was spacious enough. There was a forest on the other side of the terrace, and I woke up to the song of the nightingale in the morning. It was a great experience. Both dinner and breakfast were buffet style, and the taste was average. There wasn't a lot of variety at breakfast. There were various activities such as golf, tennis, swimming, horse riding, and archery, so it might be good for long-term stays. It seemed that they also held an illumination event of light and sound.
