Outstanding hotel, the place to stay while Shaxi. First, let’s talk about the location : it’s perfect just right by the main square and the charming beautiful streets of the old town. Now, how about the room? Airy, bed very confortable, lovely balcony and the fluffiest towels ever. Let’s not forget the amenities, everything you need and more. The service? Perfect, English is spoken and they are extremely welcoming and go out their way to make sure your stay is special. Outstanding Lastly, the food? The breakfast was delicious, heathy. A yummy pancake, unforgettable noodles and the fruits were so fresh. Let’s not forget the coffee which was delicious and that’s not easy to find in small town hotels! Staying there was the right choice for me and I would highly recommend it.

Room amenities are comprehensive; shows owner has thought through travellers’ needs very well. There’s a platform for star gazing and watching the sunrise too. Amazing experience! Thank you for the wonderful service. Very thankful for kind owner and friendly staff. Wish we’ve stayed here longer. Will be back again!

We have never experience this level of customer service. Allie is just the perfect host, and assist us with everything we needed, to the very little details. She is just perfect host. The place is fantastically designed, and the rooms are equipped well. Also location is perfect. Higly recommended!

I was really looking forward to this Shaxi B&B. The courtyard was even more beautiful than I had imagined. The 30-year-old plum tree was laden with fruit. Sitting beneath the tree and enjoying a leisurely afternoon tea was truly relaxing. The room looked different from the pictures, but the housekeeper's excellent service made up for the lack of amenities. She was accommodating and offered alternatives if we couldn't meet our needs. P.S. The rice noodles for breakfast were the best we've ever had at any B&B!

Shaxi is a treasured ancient town. I have visited many ancient towns, big and small, such as Dali and Lijiang, but my favorite is Shaxi. The B&B is quiet and elegant. You can just sit in the yard for half a day and relax, away from the hustle and bustle of the city to enjoy the quiet time.

It may be a big reason why I miss Shaxi. The design style of the small courtyard is simple Chinese style, and the green plants are just right in every part of the small courtyard. It is very quiet in the small courtyard. Feifei, the housekeeper of the homestay, is very good, responsive, and takes good care of the guests' feelings. She will also send us an umbrella when it rains. Feifei always chats with everyone with a smile. It is really comfortable to chat with her, and she will also share the beautiful scenery and coffee shops of Shaxi with us.

I have difficulty making choices, so I chose this B&B with a fluke mentality. I was surprised by the stay. Every tree and grass in the courtyard was full of vitality. I enjoyed the moon at night and the sunrise in the morning. The breakfast and afternoon tea were delicious. I drank red wine with my friends and talked about life and the future. All the people and scenery were in contrast to the noisy life in the city.

You can see the mountain view by opening the window, and you can also see the starry sky when sitting on the balcony of the room at night. The inn has thoughtful service, recommends food and fun to us, and helps prepare a courtyard barbecue, from preparing cooking utensils to helping to make a fire. Sitting under the moonlight, eating patinated tofu and barbecue, drinking and chatting with friends, and feeling the slow life in Shaxi.
