Breakfast was also quite good, with a wide variety of options, including local specialties, and fresh ingredients! It exceeded our expectations! The room layout was well-designed and spacious, and the bedding was comfortable! We are very satisfied and will definitely choose this place again next time."

"The location is super convenient, right next to Sangu Old Street. It's just a few minutes' walk to the bus station, and there are plenty of food options nearby. The room facilities are great; after a tiring hike, you can relax and watch something on the projector. The room is generally clean, spacious, and the service is good. The only downside is the soundproofing isn't great. It would be even better if the bathroom had a door or curtain to separate the wet and dry areas."

"This hotel is easy to find and the public bus stop is just metres away. The entrance is the KFC, just walk in and exit at the back is the hotel's reception. Room is clean and the counter staff is very helpful. There is a lift too. The only complaints I have is the street noise and the smell of cigarettes smoke. Around 2:30am, there is this truck, (sounds like a rubbish truck) and making the usual truck noise in the still of the night. Apart from that, some vehicles are more noisy. Choose room away from the main road."

"The hotel overall is quite good, resembling a garden hotel with a beautiful and peaceful environment, and a lovely backyard perfect for a leisurely stroll. You can see Dawang Peak right from your window. The mattress was comfortable, making it easy to fall asleep, and breakfast was decent. The room price was moderate. The parking lot is on the side of the hotel (belonging to the hotel) and isn't very large, accommodating about a dozen cars, but it's open-air and can get hot. We arrived around noon, and it was a bit stuffy, so initially, I wasn't too impressed with the hotel. However, the front desk staff was very enthusiastic and showed us the room type we had booked, saying, 'If it suits you, then check-in; if not, it's fine too.' Such service made us feel a bit guilty. After seeing the room, we thought it was acceptable, although we felt it didn't quite meet five-star standards, so we settled for it. By evening, and even the next morning, after a walk in the backyard, we felt the hotel was indeed good – away from the bustling city, tranquil, and suitable for a relaxing holiday. To get to the city center, you can take a trishaw; it's not expensive, costing no more than 20 RMB for a round trip. "The hotel environment is excellent, perfect for a vacation. It's conveniently located, with quick buggy service within the hotel, and very close to the Wuyishan scenic area. The rooms are spacious with great views, and the facilities are well-maintained. My only minor complaint is that the power outlets have child protection, which makes them a bit inconvenient to use. I had breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options and was refilled promptly. Dinner really suited my taste, as I found local restaurants to be a bit too oily and salty for me. The hotel dinner was the most comfortable meal I had. The buggy drivers, room service, and cleaning staff were all very nice. However, the front desk definitely needs improvement. During check-in, they were busy, and I had to stand while the front desk staff were seated. The day before departure, they called to confirm my check-out, and then again around 11 AM on the day of departure, asking if I wanted to extend my stay. I mentioned I was buying tea across the street and might be half an hour late, checking out around 12:30 PM. But they just sternly reiterated that check-out was at 12 PM. This left a very unpleasant impression."

👍👍👍 I had a wonderful stay at Tongmu Youmingju Homestay and can highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Tongmu area. The homestay is located in a beautiful and peaceful natural setting, surrounded by mountains and forest. One of my favorite experiences was enjoying excellent local tea while sitting right next to the river, breathing the fresh mountain air and listening to the sound of the water. It is the perfect place to relax and experience the authentic atmosphere of Tongmu. The hosts are exceptionally kind, welcoming and always ready to help with anything. They made me feel like a guest in their home rather than just a customer. The homemade food was another highlight. Every meal was fresh, authentic and absolutely delicious. It was some of the best local food I had during my trip. As a tea enthusiast, I especially appreciated staying with a family that truly understands the local tea culture. Their knowledge and hospitality made my visit even more memorable. I genuinely enjoyed every day of my stay and was sad to leave. I will definitely come back, and from now on this will be my permanent place to stay whenever I visit the Wuyishan and Tongmu area. Thank you for your warm hospitality. I look forward to seeing you again. 🙏❤️👍

We were delighted to have found and stayed at this property. Minzhushanfang is a very new bed-and-breakfast accommodation with a minimalist, calming, zen-style architecture befitting of the Wuyishan area. The rooms are similarly designed along the same minimalist, zen concept and are true to the property photos published on the booking platform. We deliberately chose an accommodation away from the hustle and bustle of town and so, found the location of Mingzhushanfang excellent. Located directly across from the entrance of the Wuyishan scenic area, it was very convenient accessing the park while being peaceful and tranquil. Do note that with its location being away from town centre, dining options at or near the property aren't many, so having dinner near town, prior to heading back to the hotel at night is strongly recommended. The room we booked has a peaceful stream view, and looks remotely across towards the Dawangfeng peak. Room and facilities are very clean. While it seems smoking is not prohibited in the rooms, we were very thankful we had no issues whatsoever with residual smoke odour. The owners of this property, who are also tea growers and manufacturers, were extremely hospitable. We were always welcomed for candid tea tastings and conversation at the lobby area, They even went out of their way to help us when we got abit lost in town! Their breakfast made by their Ah Yi is wholesome and amazing - with a lot of farm-to-table ingredients freshly harvested from their own vegetable patch. I would love to go back to visit Wuyishan again and will not hestiate to stay at Minzhushanfang again.

Traveling to Wuyishan during the off-season was wonderful; the autumn scenery was absolutely stunning with everything golden-hued. I specifically chose a guesthouse to better appreciate Wuyishan's natural beauty. Shuizhuang No. 8 Guesthouse is truly nestled within a park, offering distant mountain views and a close-up look at the river while you sip tea and admire the ginkgo trees right outside your door. Not only is the scenery beautiful, but the surroundings are also quiet and comfortable. It's conveniently located with great transport links, and both the dining and accommodation are excellent. The service is warm and courteous, and the staff are very prompt in providing assistance. I'd highly recommend staying here over a hotel!

The service was excellent, exceptionally attentive and thoughtful, with a quick response and great attitude. There's even a dedicated tea room for hotel guests, and the facilities are comprehensive. I was very satisfied. The hotel also has adorable cats and dogs, which greatly enhances the experience. They even offer slow-brewed tea for hiking trips. I would definitely stay here again if I have the chance. It's very close to nearby attractions, the old street, and the Impression Da Hong Pao restaurant.

We received a warm welcome from the staff. Check in was straightforward and prompt. The lobby area was spacious and pleasantly furnished. The staff gave us a room upgrade and we had a spacious and well appointed room that made us feel very at home. When we arrived, it was close to lunch time and the staff checked in on us on meal requests, we took the lunch and it was a good spread of local specialties. Breakfast was freshly made and gave us a good impression of how a well prepared local breakfast would be like, also the meal was well balanced with dairy, vegetables etc. The room package also included a afternoon tea in the garden with a water feature, a tea bath and a evening Chinese tea appreciation session where we chatted with the staff. We really enjoyed our stay there.

A delightful surprise during my trip to Wuyi Mountain! Guanlan Shuyuan is nestled along the Chongyang Stream, offering breathtaking views of lush mountains and clear waters right from the window. The designer villa style is incredibly photogenic, and the private balcony is perfect for enjoying tea and the scenery. The whole-house smart system is super convenient. The bedding was so soft, I had a great night's sleep. Housekeeper Xiao Chen was very attentive and even brought welcome fruits. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit to Wuyi!

Our family stay with the kids was fantastic! They even upgraded us for free, which was a nice surprise. The room was really spacious, and the bed was huge. Plus, the hotel thoughtfully provided children's amenities. There are supermarkets and snack stalls nearby, making it super convenient for getting around with little ones. The staff were also very friendly towards the kids. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay and definitely our top choice for family travel!

Choosing this hotel in Wuyishan was absolutely the right decision! We were traveling with elderly family members, and the front desk staff proactively helped us plan our sightseeing routes in the scenic area. They also recommended some authentic local restaurants tucked away in the alleys, which we thoroughly enjoyed and found to be delicious. Our room was spotless every day, and yesterday when I requested extra hangers, they were delivered within minutes of my call. My mom especially loved the Wuyi Rock Tea eggs at breakfast. We had such a comfortable stay that we extended it for another two nights. I've already recommended it to my friends, and we'll definitely be staying here again next time!

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The room was big and sunny, very silent, the bed comfortable, the heating worked really well and the shower gets nice and hot if you wait for a while. It’s off season right now, but we were still surprised to see that the hotel was practically empty, it deserves more clients. It’s one of the few hotels inside the park which is very convenient, and much nicer than the ones outside of the park that look really sad and ugl. We much preferred waking up with a view on the tea plantations. The staff doesn’t speak English at all but they’re very kind and will try their best to understand all your needs through translation apps. We ended up staying a day less and they were kind enough to give us the breakfast for free. They will also offer you to taste their local tea in the hall, which is delicious and served in the traditional way which is fascinating to watch. The furniture and overall look of the hotel might be a little dated, but we actually liked it, it gives character compared to all the ultra modern, aseptic hotels. The breakfast was really abundant and delicious, typical of the area which we loved. The only real inconvenience is that didi won’t be able to leave you at the hotel entrance, it will be stopped at the park entrance which is a 10 minutes walk on a road busy with all the park’s buses. The solution is either booking the car directly through the hotel, or ask the hotel to register your didi’s plate so it can enter the park. We did this when we visited the nearby Xiamei village and it worked.

Overall, I am satisfied with the old-fashioned style. The room is clean and tidy with complete facilities. Some suggestions: First, after booking a room, you have to go to the door by yourself, unlike other B&B owners who will contact you +V to remind you of things to pay attention to. Second, the house is not far from the north and south entrances of Wuyi Mountain, and is only across a bridge from the dining area, but you need to explore there by yourself. Third, when I was staying upstairs at night, I met two people chatting and walking around. The room was not soundproofed and the noise was very loud. I was woken up at around two o'clock in the middle of the night. I went out to look for the service staff, but no one was on duty. I could only stand in the yard and shout. Later, I ran upstairs and knocked on the door to remind them before they went to sleep quietly.
