"Our plans to Quebec City by VIA rail arrives quite late at night so decided to stay at a major chain hotel where it’s easier to find the way. Hilton Quebec is just 5minutes drive from the VIA Rail Canada station, yet it’s on a steep hillside ( and it’s located right outside of the Old Quebec fort ), you will be climbing up and down the hills in order to go sightseeing the Old Quebec.
Hilton overall are very reliable major-chain hotels worldwide, but at the same time it won’t have any particular charms of the local uniqueness of the region, so if you are looking for a charming place resembling Old Quebec, this place might not be your first choice.. but anyways we liked our stay here because of a hot shower and clean rooms for a reasonable prices.
Our room was facing opposite the famous Le Chateau Frontenac view, so it’s better to request beforehand if you are keen on staying on the Chateau view."

"An absolutely beautiful property! Book this hotel if you want a boutique type experience with excellent service from absolutely all the staff, the most comfortable bedding, delicious breakfast and coffee. The furnishings are all custom made by local artisans and many of the original woodwork and fireplaces are intact. Just gorgeous! "Facilities: The water heater and toilet in the room are relatively old, the water heater is not sensitive, and the water pressure in the toilet is too low. The air inlet of the hair dryer is full of dust and can't blow out air. The heater is very noisy.
Hygiene: The toilet is yellow and the bathtub is peeling.
Environment: The hotel lobby is decorated cleanly and warmly, and there is a billiard table for use.
Service: Apples are provided, and simple bread, fruit juice and hot drinks are provided in the morning."

"The guy at the FD who checked us in was very nice. He was very helpful that when we noticed we don’t have a kettle in room, he went up to our floor and got us a new one.
The only downside was the cleanliness of the room. Hair was found beside the window and the duvet cover was a bit stained.
But overall we enjoyed the stay. :)"

"It is a very good hotel, very close to the train station, the old city attractions can be visited on foot, the next day at 5:30 train, so I chose a room with no breakfast with kitchen, its kitchen utensils are complete, with various electrical appliances, very clean, comfortable to live, the price is reasonable, if you stay at night, You have to contact before check-in, otherwise you don't have a password and a specific room number to enter the shop. This is a hotel with no front desk service and a locked door. The first time you stay in such a hotel, you have no experience. You can try it!"

"All self served, easy access, free car park, but room is noisy cos it’s only 2nd floor, felt like next to the road, lots of bus/car and wind noise, no facilities but easy reach to mall nearby, location is good only if you are arrived by car, very smelly oily cooking smell flooded in room, I believe from the ventilation system from downstairs or flats cooking in the same building, very bad smell and choking and makes us hard to sleep. Few towel with stains and bedsheet felt like unchanged. Other than the above, it’s spacious but a little bit over priced."

"The location is absolutely formidable! Opposite the Old Castle Hotel, the rooftop is a surprise, and the beautiful Dahewan has a panoramic view. but! ! ! It’s not easy to find it! "Very nice hotel, located in the bustling area of the old city. Every staff member at the front desk was very kind and friendly. Booked a big bed and a twin room. At first, I was a little worried that the big bed room was too small, but when I opened the door, I found that the layout was very reasonable and not forced at all. The Lounge on the first floor of the hotel is very spacious, coffee, tea and fruit are free, and there are many books, board games, etc. Although the restaurant does not serve breakfast, it is very convenient to go to the surrounding coffee shops in the morning to buy it."

However, we encountered two concerning issues that I feel compelled to share.
Firstly, during a shower, my father was almost burned due to a water temperature malfunction. The hot water did not come for a long time, and when he turned the tap fully to hot, it locked in place and could not be turned off. The hotel promptly sent a plumber to fix the issue and kindly offered us a complimentary breakfast, which we appreciated.
Unfortunately, the second issue deeply impacted our experience. During breakfast on our second morning, we were served by a staff member named Isabella. Her behavior was blatantly discriminatory. Although I attempted to engage with her, she refused to acknowledge me, instead directing all her attention to my father, a white middle-aged man. She refilled his coffee but ignored me entirely, despite us both finishing at the same time. When I requested the bill, she acted as if she did not understand me and again responded only when my father spoke.
This experience was extremely unpleasant and disappointing, especially given the otherwise positive stay. I hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously and provides training to ensure all guests are treated with equal respect, regardless of their background.

GGuest UserThere are many positives about this long term stay hotel. The staff at the front desk is very friendly and helpful. The hot buffet (included with the price of the overnight stay)is absolutely amazing, just that alone is worth staying there. Toasts, bagels, muffins, cereals, hot porridge, cheese omelette, plain omelette, boiled egg, sausages, bacon, … and a “make your own” waffle station with sauces, whipped cream and different toppings!!! The coffee and tea or hot water is available in the lobby 24/7! Inside my studio suite, there is a full kitchen with dishwasher, full size fridge and you can borrow an electric induction plate for cooking. The room is big, with a curtain dividing the sofa bed and the king size bed. There are two layers of blinds to ensure complete darkness when sleeping.
The only negative thing was that my hotel room was facing the main road and so there were cars going by every 3-5 mins in the middle of the night, and I heard all the cars that went by, even at 1:00am or 3:00am while I was trying to sleep!!! The next day, I asked for ear plugs from the reception and slept so much better! I should have asked for them when I checked in.
The water temperature of the indoor saltwater pool is not too cold, but not warm. I had a good swim. This hotel is less than two years old, so everything is new, clean and bright. Lots of families with young children stayed there on the weekend I was there. A special thank you to the friendly staff especially the one who assisted me with my luggages.

The front desk service is very thoughtful and polite, and there is a special car at the door. The location of the hotel is very convenient and quiet at night.

MM4072****Because the flight was cancelled, we arrived at the hotel in the early morning. We notified the front desk in advance and they kept waiting for us. The room was quite good, the breakfast was good, and there was self-service coffee in the lobby! The hotel parking lot is large and free.

I was at the shower - the shower gel and shampoo were both empty. Obviously they didn’t refill the bottle. That’s fine. I called the counter and asked them to bring me new bottles. They rejected and asked me to go down. Ok that’s fine. I asked my friend to go down. He came back and said someone would come to change the bottles soon. Sure. I stood in the shower room for 10 minutes and no one came. Ok maybe they needed more time. I came out of the shower and sat down on the bed. Another 10 minutes. So I asked my friend to find someone. He was told that someone would come again. Another 10 minutes. A man came and gave me a bottle of shampoo and body lotion???? My friend went out again and finally got me some shower gel in a cup. It took more than 30 minutes and I just stood there. After shower, I got to do the skincare routine, dry my long hair and so on. Eventually, I went to check out. I was late of course. The lady asked me to pay for late fee. I was like ???????????????????? Explained and she agreed to waive the fee. Everything was perfect until the empty da** bottles. I am late for my lunch reservation now and I am missing some attractions for sure.

GGuest UserNice place to stay, especially if you’re planning to mostly be out and about to explore. The location is perfect.
The rooms are basic and not luxurious, but everything you need is there. Having an AC was definitely worth it. There also a common area and an unmanned reception with some kitchen facilities.
I had to contact the accommodation for check-in info, but they were very prompt, friendly and helpful. The self-checkin with access codes was easy.
There’s no elevator and the rooms are not on ground floor level, I knew this of course, because it’s written in the hotel info.
I had a room with a balcony and that was a nice touch. There’s also a patio on the rooftop.
It would be nice if they provide some more information about the place. I discovered the patio by just exploring myself.
All by all, I had a good stay of 2 nights. I only slept in the place, as I was mostly outdoors.

KKuangxiangdelvcheng_AileenPart of the hotel is under renovation, the room facilities are old, especially the refrigerator and air conditioner are so noisy. Fortunately, the summer in Quebec is not hot, so we unplugged the refrigerator and air conditioner to fall asleep. After checking in at the front desk, take the elevator on the first floor to the third floor, and then transfer from the third floor to the floor where you are staying. Speaking of the elevator from the first floor to the third floor, it shakes violently when it arrives. I was scared the first time I took it, but I got used to it later.
The distance between the hotel and the old town is not close. We parked our car in the ground parking lot behind the hotel and paid $73.9 for two days. The most satisfying thing is the restaurant on the third floor of the hotel. The price is moderate and the taste is great.

VVincentJust a few minutes from the Upper Promenade, with a lovely casual feeling and comfortable rooms. Shared toilet but always very clean and never a wait. Front desk staff were really friendly. Enjoyed the shared coffee, kettle, microwave and fridge at reception.
An enjoyable 3 night stay. Recommended.
