This was my first time visiting Hong Kong, and I’m so glad I chose this place as my accommodation. It was clean, comfortable, and perfect for me and my family. The location is also very strategic, with plenty of food options around the area. Definitely my go-to place whenever I travel to Hong Kong again! Love the coffee and tea at the lounge area

I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately, my experience was not satisfactory. The Wi-Fi in my room was completely unusable, which made it difficult to stay connected. Additionally, the television could not find any channels, leaving me without entertainment. To make matters worse, the sofa in the wardrobe area was not clean; there were still strands of hair on it, which was quite off-putting. Overall, the lack of basic amenities and cleanliness issues greatly affected my stay. I hope the management addresses these concerns for future guests.

Had a very pleasant trip with Hotel Alexandra. Spent 5 nights with my two big teens. Greet encounters with all staff. Stayed on 33/F and got upgraded to sea view by check in staff. Very lovely cleaning lady we met every morning. She always greeted me with a big smile and friendly gesture. Gave us a good start of the day!! Excellent conceirge service. Felt safe leaving our luggages in their hands on the day we checked out. Also the hotel has a nice smell. Very busy but not crowded for the fact that the lobby is not huge. Very high HK efficiency is in place to handle high occupancy during summer. Very clean everywhere you go. I still can’t believe I found this hotel on trip.com with good bargain.  Anyway every staff gives you 5 stars standard when you paid a 3 stars price in the best location - Fortress Hill. You’re 3 min away from the harbourside, 3 mins from MTR station/bus stops, one min from taxi or uber, 10mins lovely safe walk from Victoria Park, 2 mins walk away from a good standard of cha chaan ting and more.  Didn’t get to try their restaurants, but we passed by the one close to lobby and it was a big hit for breakfast & especially tea time I witnessed. Wouldn’t be bad for its popularity. We used the swimming pool. It’s not a big one but it’s nice to have a dip during holiday.  Only two things to make Alexandra perfect. The size of our triple room is quite small for 3 people. And the size of the pool. But not big issues to be honest. All in all, I would definitely give Hotwl Alexandra 9.5 out of 10. Will definitely come back and stay with them when I come back visiting again.

Good location, near Fortress MTR and North point MTR (within 10 min walking distance). Lots of good food nearby, fast food restaurants, bubble tea stores, grocery stores, local market. Shopping mall is within walking distance. Public transport is easily accessible (MTR, city bus, airport direct bus, ding ding tram…).

The service was very good, and check-in was fast. The location of the hotel is great—close to the bus and tram stations, and the subway is also nearby. There are six elevators, so even though our room was on a high floor, it was very quick and easy to get there. The staff were friendly and spoke English. The pool is very nice; it’s big enough for swimming, and the view from the pool is also quite good.

Our recent stay was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and efficient. Our room was impeccably clean, modern, and offered a stunning city view. The bed was supremely comfortable, ensuring a perfect night's sleep. We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel's amenities, particularly the well-equipped gym and the serene rooftop pool. The central location made exploring the city effortless. Every interaction with the team was met with genuine warmth and professionalism. We left feeling thoroughly pampered and cannot wait to return. Highly recommended for both business and leisure travelers.

I took the children back to Hong Kong to visit relatives during the summer vacation and stayed in the Prince's Apartment for a month. I felt very satisfied. The location is super convenient, near the subway station and the bus station, the access is completely not worried; nearby restaurants, supermarkets and shopping malls are available, and it is convenient to buy food every day. The room was big enough and clean and comfortable. The staff was kind and courteous and willing to assist. Overall, it is highly recommended!

I came to Hong Kong to see 'The Great Lawyer' and 'Yi Yi'. With other hotels being quite expensive, this one offered a reasonable price, so I decided to book it. I admit I was a bit worried after reading some reviews, but my experience turned out to be excellent. The hotel isn't far from Tin Hau MTR station. Be aware that Gaode Maps (Amap) might direct you through small alleys; it's simpler to just walk along the main road for a bit before using navigation. The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. While the room was compact, it was spotlessly clean and felt quite new, which is a big plus for Hong Kong hotels. They provided both soft and firm pillows. There was a slight, faint buzzing sound from the bedside strip light, but it wasn't disruptive at all. All in all, it offers excellent value for money. And on a side note, 'The Great Lawyer' musical was absolutely fantastic – I really feel it marks a new high for Chinese musicals, combining both innovation and cultural tradition. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit.

I enjoyed my stay in Hong Kong. The room was small, but was enough space for one person with a small luggage. The room was a bit humid and the bed is not the soft type, but I could sleep comfortably. They provide a plug adaptor with USB and USB type-C, however I did not consider that I needed an adaptor for my laptop with China mainland plug type and did not bring mine, and the hotel does not provide one. The bathroom had a bit of mold in some spots, however it was clean and I guess it is normal considering Hong Kong weather and humidity. The service was good and helpful. I would have liked having complementary bottle of waters and in-site laundry room. Considering the position and the price, it is a very good accomodation option and I would stay here again.

The service was exceptional. The pool was definitely the highlight – it was incredibly beautiful and comfortable, and I enjoyed swimming there both in the morning and evening. Our room also offered a lovely sea view. I arrived quite early and initially thought check-in wouldn't be until 3 PM, but as they had an available room, they allowed me to check in right away in the morning, which was fantastic. Overall, the service was excellent, and the location was superb.

Tips for Booking Hong Kong Hotels

Book Early for Peak Travel Seasons

Hong Kong gets especially busy during Chinese New Year (January–February), Golden Week (early October), and Christmas. Hotels in popular areas like Central, Tsim Sha Tsui, and Causeway Bay often sell out or spike in price—so book well in advance.

Watch Out for Major Events

Expect higher rates during international trade fairs, art shows, and concerts at venues like the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, AsiaWorld–Expo, or West Kowloon Cultural District. Hotel demand surges during events like Art Basel, Rugby Sevens, and K-pop tours.

Save More with Trip.com Perks

New users can get up to 8% off select Hong Kong hotel bookings on Trip.com. Helpful for offsetting Hong Kong’s 10% service charge—or upgrading to harbour-view rooms with breakfast included.

Stay Smart with Location Choices

On a budget? Consider staying in areas like Sheung Wan, Sai Ying Pun, or North Point instead of Central or Tsim Sha Tsui. These neighborhoods still offer easy MTR access, great food, and local charm—without the high-end hotel prices.

Outstanding
PPipituanzuoThe AC wasn't cooling effectively, and the fan was quite noisy. The mattress was too soft for my liking, but the front desk was very helpful and arranged to have the top topper removed, which significantly improved the comfort. The food at the restaurant was good, and the buffet breakfast cost 262 RMB per person, including the service charge. All hotel staff were very friendly, welcoming, and provided highly efficient service. The in-room purified water dispenser was both eco-friendly and convenient. The microwave provided was also a thoughtful amenity.

GGuest UserExcellent hotel in a great location just next to the metro entrance. Upon check-in we were thrilled to hear we’d been granted a free upgrade to a suite. MMeilongjierjiameishenI often stayed here whenever I visited Tin Hau in the past. It's conveniently located near popular local spots like Sister Wah and The Cupping Room, and transport links are excellent. Even after all these years, the hotel largely remains the same. The facilities are still in good condition and don't feel outdated, which is pretty good.

CCoconut331Very clean, the hotel looks very new and toiletries are provided (which some hotels don’t these days!!). The wifi connection is very stable and strong. The shower is very nice, hot water and the water pressure is very sufficient. The room is slightly small but acceptable at this price range. Location is nice, few minutes away from MTR station and is accessible to food and mall They brand themselves as apartment but in my opinion it looks more like a hotel, for instance there isn’t any kitchen. However, monthly rental options are available.

TTianyarenwoxingThis is the best value hotel in Hong Kong's Eastern District, bar none. The facilities are new and odor-free, and the rooms are relatively new compared to the touristy areas (like Yau Tsim Mong, Causeway Bay, and Central). The rooms are brightly lit, with ceiling heights of up to 2.5 meters, creating a spacious and airy feel. The central air conditioning provides ample cooling, and the bedding is comfortable. The surrounding area is convenient for dining, entertainment, and other activities: Tai On Lau, a popular late-night spot, is a popular spot for dining; the Hong Kong Film Archive is nearby, and you can visit the Sai Wan Ho Pier, a more vintage wooden boat pier than the Central Pier, which is worth a visit (for boat trips to Kwun Tong, Lei Yue Mun, Sam Ka Tsuen, and other destinations). The famous Monster Building is also not far from Cityplaza, perfect for photo opportunities. Other supermarkets and restaurants are also nearby, and the tram and Sai Wan Ho MTR station are also close by. If you're looking for a quiet escape from the tourist crowds, this hotel is worth a stay!

AAnonymous UserWe arrived late night for check-in since our flight is in the afternoon, expecting to be welcomed warmly as a tourists. However, it felt and experienced different. It was as if they do not want guests in their hotel. 😅 Also, when we came up to our non-smoking room, it smelled like someone just smoked a cigarette inside, same with the hallways on the following days. I was with my baby, so I was worried sick. The room was old, but clean. It also has bathtub. They make up the room, even without requests, that’s a plus one for me, the view in the morning is so calming 🤗 Overall, it was okay for the price and location.
