The location is super strategic, where there are a lot eateries and shops within walking distance. It’s also 3 minutes away from Langham Place.

This was my second trip to Hong Kong in 11 years, and the first time for my family. Hong Kong has changed quite a lot since my last visit. Notably, the Hong Kong government has increased airport and accommodation taxes, which has made both airfare and hotel prices higher than before. Before our trip, we searched for various accommodations to compare prices and locations. Of course, places outside the city are generally cheaper, have larger rooms, and offer more facilities but accessibility can be quite inconvenient. Eventually, we found this place: Kam Mum Guest House. It’s located right in the heart of Mongkok, just about 300 meters from MTR Mongkok Exit E and E1. This was actually our first time staying at a guest house, so we were a bit worried about the quality whether we’d have to share the building with local residents, for example. But when we arrived, all our worries disappeared. The guest house occupies the entire 21st floor of Sun Hing Building, making it a private and secure space for guests. The rooms at Kam Mum Guest House resemble small hotel rooms — compact but well-equipped. The bed was large and comfortable. Although the bathroom was a bit small, it wasn’t an issue for us. As for service — on a scale of 1 to 10, we’d give it an 11! The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. The warm and welcoming atmosphere made our stay even more enjoyable. (By the way, the candies at the reception desk were really tasty don’t forget to grab some when you visit! Haha!) The guest house also provides luggage storage, a common lounge area, and free access to a refrigerator and microwave. If we have the chance, we’ll definitely stay here again. The location in the center of Mongkok is incredibly convenient for transportation, dining, and shopping and best of all, the price is only around 2,000+ THB per night.

This is a budget-friendly hotel, so expectations should be kept modest. However, cleanliness could be improved. We noticed several strands of hair in the room, and the bathroom had an unpleasant odor and molds. With better housekeeping and maintenance, the overall guest experience could be much better.

This was an excellent choice for a centrally located budget accommodation in Hong Kong. Just a short walk from Mongkok MTR Station, Kam Mun is inside a well-maintained building with multiple elevators that were fast and never crowded in the five days that I was using them. Each of the hosts manning, the reception was friendly and accommodating. My room was quiet, cold, and had a comfy bed. Highly recommended!

Super convenient, just 2–3 MTR stops to major spots. 地理位置非常好，楼下有很多便利店，周边是热闹的购物街，有不少知名品牌，搭地铁 2–3 站就能到主要景点，非常方便。 Be sure to read the guidance carefully provided by the owner before arrival, since the check-in counter and the room are at different locations. 入住前记得仔细阅读房东提供的入住指南，因为前台与房间不在同一个地方，提前看好会更顺利。 The room is small but very clean, just like what you’d expect in Tokyo — totally fine if you’re a solo traveler or light packer. 房间虽然不大，但非常干净，就像东京那种房型。很适合独行旅客或行李不多的人。 The owner is warm and friendly, and really left a strong impression on me. 房东非常热情友好，给我留下了很深的印象。 A HKD 200 deposit is required upon check-in. 入住时需缴付 200 港币押金。 Lastly, if you’re a light sleeper, you may find the soundproofing not perfect, but overall it’s great value for money — clean, convenient, and cozy for short stays! 最后，如果你是浅眠的人，隔音可能稍微一般，但总体来说非常物超所值——干净、方便又舒适，非常适合短期入住！

The hotel staffs are nice and can speak English well! The room is normally small but worth the price. It is very clean. The nearest MTR station is just about 5 minutes walk 😄

Good and helpful service. Only complaint is the lack of towels, and the paid disposable ones are terrible. Otherwise happy with the room and price!
