The room was comfortable and well-appointed with a nice view, and the hotel has a subtle warmth to its decor. The check in staff and concierge were friendly and helpful. The main Italian restaurant is quite good and the breakfast was well done. The bar is trying too hard to be trendy and the service speaks more to arrivistes than guests just looking to enjoy a drink or solo meal—honestly rather disappointing. Overall it would seem the best option in Hobart and quite strong for a small city, though I’m not sure on what list they could claim to be top 50… Aman or Rosewood or a Peninsula it is not.

The Tasman is a great hotel to stay if you want to be near the waterfront During our stay, we happened to chance upon the Dark Mofo Winter Feast and also had the chance to go to the nearby Salamanca Market which was just behind the hotel Owen the hotel receptionist was very welcoming and attentive The room was spacious with adequate amenities provided. One downside to mention was that the water pressure was rather weak and having to shower for a long time due to the weak shower made the experience not as pleasant. Would be wonderful if there was a bath tub too!

Good stay in overall

With a history of more than 200 years, the hotel is a blend of old and new. The newly opened hotel was rated as one of the top 50. Marriott, Near the harbor, it is very convenient to travel. The old park next to it and the market every Saturday are worth visiting. The breakfast is very rich, especially the cherries and strawberries. Tasmanian food is the best because the food is additive-free and not exported. Cherries are only in season for one month. I stayed for 5 days and the coffee art was excellent every day. There are many Asian employees and no communication problems.

This is probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I don't know if the room has been cleaned seriously. There are no slippers, the tea bags in the bar are empty, and the note left by the previous guest is still in the room. The most annoying thing is that the electric curtains in the room are broken. I asked a worker to repair it. The worker said that there was no engineer to repair it that day, so it could only be like this. They gave us three eye masks and asked us to make do with it. I called the front desk and asked them to see if they could change the room. The front desk looked and said that there was no room to change. They threw their hands and had no way to do it, and there was no apology. The next day, I returned to the hotel and found that the cups we brought were missing. I asked Ctrip to help contact the hotel. It turned out that the room service took our cups to the kitchen. In order to get the two cups back, the room service asked me to write them an email at first, attaching photos of the cups. I refused because I didn't know how long it would take to find them after the email exchange. Later, they went to find them immediately after I communicated with them on the phone. While waiting for the cups to be delivered, I wanted to drink water with the hotel cups, and found that the bottom of the cups in the tea bar was a sticky layer of unknown substance. I don't know how long it has not been washed. Ctrip said that the hotel would communicate with me for compensation, but no one from the hotel contacted me.

A hotel you must stay in for one night in Tasmania. The location is super good, just a few steps from the pier and shopping area. The room has large floor-to-ceiling windows, which you can open to watch the sunset, the sunrise, and the city at night.

The room was big and nice, I will choose to stay here next time I go to Hobart.

For this price, I can only say that the proximity to the airport and the hotel sign gave it too much confidence. The corridors of the room are old and dim, the room is small, and the windows are not soundproof. There was a strong wind outside on the day of check-in. Slippers and toiletries are not provided, there is no charger at the bedside, there are very few breakfast options, and the shuttle bus needs to be paid (it is only a few minutes away from the airport). The experience is extremely bad. If you don’t have to stay here to catch a flight, it is recommended not to stay here 🙅

The hotel front desk service is friendly and the location is good, but the housekeeper is poor. The toilet was not cleaned for two days. There were three people staying, but only two sets of towels and slippers were provided. I reminded them several times and they delivered them once. The next day, they still only provided two sets of towels. As the best hotel in Hobart, it is a bit disappointing.

The location is very good, next to the port and the city hall, and there are many things to do and eat around. The breakfast is rich, the room is clean, the view is good, the service is also OK, and the room service responds quickly
