Capsis Astoria Heraklion Reviews

Capsis Astoria is a great hotel centrally located in Heraklion. The rooms are comfortable and we liked our balcony. The rooftop pool is amazing with a full service bar and plenty of different types of seating and views of the city and sea in the distance. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is across the road from the hop on hop off bus, airport bus, museum and many restaurants and bars down the alleys.

Overall, I hated it. It was clean, they were nice but the mattress was hard as rocks. Very uncomfortable!!!

Strong windy day made old fashioned door's uncomfortable noisy, which was hard to sleep. Nice staffs but seems a bit lackluster.

Parking was available 👍 The roof ventilation was very loud at the pool, so unfortunately a longer stay at the pool was not possible for me. The hotel is a bit older, the rooms could do with renovation, everything was very worn.

The rooftop bar and swimming pool are great. The hotel is in a great location, close to museums, the airport, the pier, and the city center. There are many small specialty museums on Ke Island, which are worth a closer look. There are many water leisure activities on the beach.

The location is excellent, with museums, post offices, and many restaurants and commercial streets nearby. It is very lively at night, and you can experience the life of the locals. The live band performance was very exciting.

The staff service is very good, the facilities and food are very satisfactory. The only thing is that the hotel only provides bottled water on the first day, but you can buy it near the hotel. In addition, the hotel only provides one paper cup per person, and there is no cup supply at all in the bathroom. Paper cups cannot be washed multiple times and are not used for many days. Especially in the last two days, replacement is no longer available and has to be cleaned.

The location is very good, right next to the Archaeological Museum. You can check in after visiting the museum and take the bus to the ruins of Knossos. The room is quite big and there is a kettle for boiling water.
