Walking distance to Xihu. Department stores along the way. Cosy room with all amenities needed. Comfy sofa and bed. Nice decoration.

Room a little bit small but reasonable according to the price. The room design very cute. Good location hotel. So close to Xihu where you could get there by walking.

Great location to visit the West Lake, easy metro access from/to the train station, staff is very kind and patient, they went out of their way to help/accommodate me - the language barrier wasn't a problem! While there are signs of wear and tear and some finishings are poorly executed, the design remains esthetically pleasing, the room is quiet, the place is clean, the bed is confortable, the water is hot and the pressure is good. They serve coffee and tea in the morning and you can get breakfast pastries in the bakeries nearby or in the big mall next to the hotel. As a solo female traveler I felt safe and cozy here and recommend booking this place! Please note the correct name is Color Story hotel, and so that is the sign/address you should look for.

The room was cute and very very clean and the bathroom was bigger than I expected. The hotel provided us with towels, soaps, toothbrush and free water. The staff is kind and the hotel is very close to Hefang street and the city centre. Definitely recommended!

Clean, spacious and quiet room. Coffee shop in the lobby. Hotel is close to a pedestrian street/old street area. Subway station close buy. Good value for the money

Staff was really nice, hotel location was good only downside was that you heard the room next and above from you really clearly. if your neighbour decide to take a night shower, you might as well join them since the sound will be loud.

Comfortable hotel at a great location. Since the name of the hotel is translated from Chinese it took us a moment to find the correct place. The sign says Color story in English (not Painting House hotel). Staff is helpful and friendly. There is a washing machine and dryer in the hallway that guests can use.

Room was clean and it is in a great location. There was a little bit of a smell coming from the washroom that didn’t seem to go away during my 2 day stay. I would stay again though.

The Blues room was great. It’s spacey and even has a projector. And the lady at the reception was so kindhearted and welcoming. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Great location that can access to west lake, malls, and etc. The receptionist is attentive, helpful and friendly. Overall stay is satisfied! 😃

The staffs were very nice, the hotel is clean and is really near the walking street. As a girl traveling alone, it can be a bit intimidating and difficult but i can assure you this hotel is trustworthy.

"Convenient Stay with Friendly Faces!" Painting House Hotel is perfectly located just a short walk from a bustling shopping mall, making it ideal for shopaholics! While our room was quite small and lacked windows, the friendly front desk staff were incredibly helpful and made our stay more enjoyable. Note that breakfast isn’t included, but with so many nearby dining options, it's easy to find a tasty bite. Overall, a convenient spot for a quick getaway!
