"A very satisfying travel experience, the owner is extremely kind and kind. The living location is very close to the station, supermarkets and shopping stores. The best thing is that the owner speaks English and Japanese and will enthusiastically respond to your questions about skiing and food. Generally speaking, it is a Japanese-style hotel that allows us to feel at home even if we are in a foreign country."

RRaeMeteor Garden is located conveniently 5-7min drive from main Hakuba Village. One thing to note is that the main cafe in the stay is not open so need to find other dining alternatives. Rooms and amenities are clean and well maintained, the one issue is that it’s not well marked on Google map as it keeps pointing to the restaurant which was not opened and gave us a false alarm. Wifi is not the fastest and does not handle multiple devices that well especially when you are trying to work. There was some confusion when booked via Trip as the contact information was somehow truncated so hotel was unable to contact me without going through Trip thus messages were delayed. Overall it was an enjoyable stay and everyone had a great time…

GGuest UserDuring the skiing trip in Hakuba, although I didn't drive myself and the transportation was a little inconvenient (the shuttle bus with fewer flights sometimes couldn't fully meet the needs), the hotel's front desk service made me feel extremely warm and thoughtful. Here, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to several front desk staff for their enthusiastic assistance and professional service.
This was my first time to go skiing in Hakuba. I was unfamiliar with the local environment and did not have a car. In addition, I had to send my luggage back to the airport, so I encountered many challenges during the process. First of all, I would like to express my special thanks to an older male waiter who was kind and polite. He helped me with the delivery service. The process was very careful and made me feel at ease.
Secondly, thanks to a short, slightly fat but smiling male waiter. After learning that I had been waiting in the lobby for two hours because the shuttle bus did not arrive on time, he tried his best to help me call a taxi to the ski resort. Although he was unsuccessful in the end, he understood my persistence and was always willing to help. When I got back to the hotel, as time was tight, he took the initiative to ask his supervisor and quickly helped arrange a hotel car to take me to the station so that I could catch the bus and JR train to Tokyo. At the same time, he also helped me pick up my stored luggage and assisted in moving it. He was more anxious than I was throughout the whole process, which deeply touched me. I am deeply sorry that I was unable to express my gratitude or give a tip in person as I was in a hurry at the time.
Also, I would like to commend a young waitress. Although she was inexperienced, she was still careful and responsible, and tried her best to solve my problem, which made me feel her dedication and professionalism.
During this trip, the sincerity and enthusiasm of these service staff provided me with great help. Even when faced with emergencies, they always put themselves in the guests' shoes and demonstrated an excellent service attitude. Next time I visit Hakuba, I will definitely choose to stay at this hotel again because their service makes me feel at home. Thanks again!
In addition, the staff who clean the rooms are also very professional, polite and responsible. As for the hotel facilities, cleanliness, decoration and the quality and style of the restaurant food, they are all great.

GGuest UserThe hotel is one kilometer away from the bus terminal, but there are small stops near the hotel to various ski resorts, which is very convenient.
I booked a total of 5 nights, including meals. The 5 breakfasts are basically Japanese, very hearty and satisfying!
It is a traditional Japanese-style bed and breakfast. The room is on tatami mats and you make your own bed. In some years, the furniture is not new, and you can hear it in the walking room in the corridor, but it is very clean! The quality of the guests is also very good, there is no loud noise, which is much better than the Europeans and Americans who later lived in the hotel!
The boss is an old Japanese couple. They don’t talk much and may not always smile like other Japanese people, but in fact they love to help. After dinner every morning, they ask you where you plan to go today, and then pull you there. His map wall helps you plan your itinerary, and the hotel also has a lot of coupons or low-cost ski tickets for ski resort cooperation. Save a lot of expenses. After checking out, you need to change to another hotel. After the boss asks the address, he will send it to the next one, but there are still not many words 😁, thank you for your rigorous and lovely Japanese grandpa

TTerenceA wonderful stay here. Refreshed and modern. We had the family room with two futons which was pretty spacious. The only downside was that the basin was located inside the bathroom, making it inconvenient for others to use it. The location was brilliant as it was only walking distance to Echoland with plenty of dining options. The breakfast buffet had a pretty good range though if some of the dishes could be different each day that would be even better. One thing to note that is that the car park is unsheltered. We stayed for the ski season in January and on one night there was heavy snow, so the next morning we had to spend some time shovelling the snow around our car before we could drive it out. I suspect this is pretty typical in Hakuba though. Overall we were very satisfied and would highly recommend this for a family ski trip.

TTeddyOverall, our stay was enjoyable, and the chalet matched the photos. However, I’d rate it 3.5 stars due to poor value for the peak-season price. Check-in instructions were unclear, leaving us to search for our villa in the cold. There were no manuals for the heater, boiler, or washer, and the boiler kept turning off unexpectedly. The concierge was attentive, but these issues dampened the experience. These manuals / improvements / attention to detail should be easy fixes for the management company, but a major oversight for a company that prides itself on hospitality.

MMeowVanWhat an awesome experience! The hotel offered exemplary service before we even arrived. Due to special travel arrangements, we arrived late and the staff quick to arrange an in-room bento dinner for us before our arrival. When we got there, we were immediately blown away by the gorgeousness of the hotel.
Despite its age, everything was very clean and polished. I can see that great care had been taken to upkeep the hotel and it’s premises, which are extraordinarily beautiful. We couldn’t resist taking pictures even after check-out, and it took us an hour to finally reluctantly leave. Words cannot actually do the place justice, you must visit there yourself.
We were very impressed with how delicious the food was, and the attention to detail, including the placement of the food, the coordination of food color. My mouth is still watering as I recall how delicious it was. I had 10 helpings of their prime rib one day. Besides, I had a dietary restriction and the staff were really careful with that, to the extent of reminding me what dishes not to eat everyday at their breakfast and dinner buffet.
In addition to excellent food and service, the hotel went out of its way to be very eco-friendly. For every day that we did not need our room to be tidied, we earned points, which can be traded in for ice cream or other goodies.
Finally, the staff spoke perfect English. This is rare indeed, and it made everything so much easier and so much more enjoyable. Thanks for the experience!

GGuest UserThis hotel has unbeatable snow scenery and great service. Although Hakuba is inconvenient for transportation, the hotel has free shuttle buses to various distribution points in Hakuba. You still need to take the bus to the two nearby ski resorts, but we were lucky that day and met a free car with the word Sera printed on it to take us to Tsugaike. I don't understand what the mechanism is. The hotel has free popcorn, wine, sake, apple juice, red bean soup, milk, coffee, oden, curry rice, ice cream, etc., which can basically meet all the needs of a short stay. The best thing is the floor-to-ceiling windows in the lobby, which are very photogenic and very friendly for families with children who love to play in the snow. They can watch over their children indoors with the heater on. The comments all said that the dinner was average, so I booked the hotel's car to go to Roujiang, a super delicious barbecue restaurant, highly recommended, but reservations must be made in advance.

PPunziizThis hotel is beyond my imagination. OMG ! The place was so amazing I chose Chalet with my family member 8 persons. They really in love with the place and all speak the same that we will definitely come back again ! The owner has a service to bring you to the supermarket at 4 pm everyday. That's awesome we can do cooking and enjoy precious meals with our family. There are not many houses here so it is the best option for anyone who looking for the cozy places and can also enjoy the wonderful snowy view. Thank you Ms. Hana to take care of us along the stay ! :)))
