"Room are spacious and clean, location are strategic, but service are really bad. I cant keep my luggage before my check in time, so i have to carry my heavy luggage with me for all day, and staffs here aren’t friendly at all, also they charge ¥5,000 for late check out even just for 5minutes. I stay in many hotel with higher and cheaper price but this place was really disappointing.
All the things in this hotel are perfect, but i think they have to educate the staffs and other services."
"This hotel is very close to Hakodate JR Station and seafood market. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room not big for single room but quite clean. Free coffee is provided at hotel lobby."
"Not sure whether it’s during long holidays, or it’s normal. But I expected much better service for this type of hotel. So I was so disappointed when I didn’t feel like it.
First, I carried a lot of stuffs. I asked for concierge, yes there was a luggage cart, but I need to carry all by myself up to my room, using a small and old with impaired wheels cart.
Second, full of tourists. Onsen was so full too. So I need to hurry took a bath, a few minute in the onsen, then go back to my room. Not relax at all.
Third, such a long queue breakfast. There were 2 types of breakfast for us to choose. Never seen like this before, but we need to get a queue, for 30-60 minutes waiting. If I knew that there was a queue for hotel breakfast, I would definitely went down to get the queue before packing my luggage. Who will know that it would be like this. It’s my really first time to wait for 1 hour to have breakfast.
Lastly, I was so tired and want the massage, so I booked one. Not sure whether it’s normal for Japanese style or not, but compared to Thai massage and Korean massage, I shouldn’t have paid for it . Too expensive but not help at all. I came back to my room to acupuncture myself instead.
Luckily that I stayed 2 hotels in Hakodate, so I moved to another hotel on the next day and feel much better.
Oh, a few things I like about this hotel.
1. The pictures along the way to another wing (during my walk to onsen). There were beautiful
2. A rental car place in front of hotel, during my waiting for breakfast queue, I walked there and found a good price car rental."

"JR Inn Hakodate is particularly outstanding in several aspects: great location which is directly connected to JR Hakodate station so people would not get wet even it’s raining, special offer on extra pillows with different material, relaxing open area which allows people to rest after bathing (please see photos attached), amenities such as washing machine and microwave etc, the unique view of JR railway in room. Just one thing: The space in my room became very limited after I opened my 26’ luggage on the floor. Overall the hotel is perfect!"
"I recently stayed at a hotel that exceeded my expectations. The facilities were impeccably clean, making the stay very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and of high quality, offering a great start to each day. I also enjoyed the on-site hot springs, which were incredibly relaxing. Additionally, the room had a beautiful view, enhancing the overall experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a delightful stay."
"Very comfortable environment, beyond expectations. This is a formal big hotel, the top floor can be ruined. From the front door to the reception, until the key is taken, help us open the door, enter the room, introduce the use of room items one by one, very unforgettable service. The breakfast is also very good and varied."
"It was a room that children would be happy! When I entered the building, there were cute modern decorations, and it seemed that security in the middle of the night was also solid. We didn't go, but there seems to be a hidden spot and barbecue facility on the roof! Is the hall renewed? Like old and new? I think the cleaning was clean, but I couldn't get down because I felt like the pillows smelled like dust (^^ ;; Children who are tired of sightseeing for adults in Hakodate are also happy to return to the hotel I think it's a place is! You can stay with a large number of people, so I think it's good to stay with everyone on a trip with grandpa and grandma! However, please note that there is no hot spring!"
"The location is very good, close to the church group, convenient.
The bathroom facilities are old, the shower angle cannot be adjusted, the water flow cannot be controlled, and the faucet must be turned on every time the switch is turned on and the hot water is adjusted to the right temperature, which is very inconvenient.
The room was spacious and the bed was moderately hard and soft. The curtains were not shading and woke up early.
The uncle at the front desk was very enthusiastic."

Great
Pphua.scI personally feel this hotel is a good starting point especially if you love exploring by walking.
From Hakodate Train Station, it is about a 5-10 min walk. Along the way, you'll find a number of food options (kaizen-don selection) at Hakodate Asaichi that is best for breakfast/lunch and also Lucky Pierrot (local restaurant burger chain with wide selection) across the street. There is also a Lawson's convenience store nearby.
The hotel is within walking distance (<5 min) from the Morning Market (where you can get all the preserved seafood for souvenirs) and also the must-try Uni Marumaki's (price range Y3500 and up for the recommended items). Further up, after about 20 minutes walking, is the Red Brick Warehouses (Lots of souvenir shopping and some of the more-branded food to try between meals - cakes, ice cream etc). The Hakodate Seafood Market is also around this area where fresh sashimi is available. I was surprised to find similarly priced oysters (Y900 for 2) here that's of better quality than at the Morning Market.
I've concentrated so far on the plentiful food options nearby because the breakfast buffet had very, very limited options and limited seating (see last photo). The main option I could recall was a selection of onigiri with different flavours, some western-type food, and bread. I think it's fine because Hakodate is really a foodie's place so you should try eating outside the hotel (especially sashimi and kaizendon).
The hotel itself is very clean and has all basic amenities that serve it's purpose.
GGuest UserI am very satisfied with my 2 days stay in this hotel.
There are things that make the hotel a standout which are
1. Location and convenience . Walking distance to Jr station and the fact that it is right next to hakodate morning market offers the guest wide variety of choice for traditional jap seafood breakfast. You can get a variety of seafood and fresh fruits like strawberry n melon from the market. There are quite a number of restaurants where u can enjoy sashimi and seafood don.
2. Beautiful view from the hotel lounge and hotel room. The view was simply picturesque
3. Facilities. Both indoor n outdoor onsen available for the guests. U can enjoy soaking in onsen while enjoying the nice view it offered. Bringing comfort to the body and pleasure to the eyes at the same time.
Washing machine, cooker and microwave oven is available in the room. It brings great convenience to travellers where we can wash clothes in own room without leaving the room
4. Friendly and polite staffs
5. It has own private parking that is charged at 1000 yen per night
DDean MauriceWe booked this hotel for a special stay for our Christmas Day abroad and it did not disappoint. The rooms are cozy, spacious and quiet with very comfy beds. We appreciated the entry way with the closet and shoe rack. We also appreciated the shower with great pressure, the large sink counter and the Japanese style toilet. There was also a good amount of toiletries provided. We had Japanese style pajamas, slippers for the room, sandals to go around the hotel in and even slippers specifically for the toilet area. The room has a large TV and you can connect to it with an HDMI cable or screencast but we could not figure out how to screencast. The hotel primarily caters to Japanese so the important stuff was in English but the little things like the remote control and temperature control were not.
We booked our stay with the buffet dinner and breakfast and for our stay it seems that all the greatest hits for Japanese cuisine were out. For dinner they had a steak grilling station, a BBQ scallop station, a sushi chef, crab dumplings and all kinds of accompaniments. For the dessert they had an array of tasty sweets but we enjoyed the macarons and Hokkaido ice cream the most. The breakfast was equally fantastic with a miso soup station, all kinds of sashimi, black pork dumplings, fried chicken and all kinds of crowd pleasers. There is a juice station and a coffee machine that makes all kinds of drinks so we were very pleased with the meals. We appreciated the plates and small dishes that allowed for small portions so we could pretty much try everything. Some items at the buffet did run out and these were specifically the small dishes - it is worth going early for breakfast and dinner because some items are not replenished and I found quite a few of these very delicious!
There isn't much around the hotel other than a 7-11 and a small botanical garden across the bridge but it is definitely a hotel meant to stay in and enjoy. We went to the onsen at night and in the morning and really enjoyed the outdoor bath which was sea facing. At night you could hear the waves and see the stars and during the day you could enjoy the beach and mountain view. The onsen baths have a variety of temperature pools and saunas and good bath products. There is a machine that dispenses a few pop flavours, cold tea and mineral water in the change room. There was a variety of self care products available in the change rooms as well like toothbrushes and razors.
Our room was very cozy after our bath and we found that the temperature for the hotel was possibly centrally controlled and not adjustable according to Google translation. It was set at a balmy 24 but we did figure out how to turn it off and got a comfortable night's rest. I wasn't a big fan of the hard toothbrushes that were provided mainly because the toothbrush used a coating rather than toothpaste which makes them truly single use.
The hotel offers quite a few amenities outside of the onsen area but the onsen was the highlight for us. They have a lounge area with lots of seats looking out to the sea near the front desk, a separate restaurant from the buffet restaurant, a souvenir shop that sells drinks too and luggage storage. We aren't sure if there are multiple floors with laundry machines but the one laundry room we did find only had one machine so this might not be a hotel to do your laundry at.
The hotel is easily accessible from both the train station and airport. From the train station you can take a bus or the tram which would take about 30 minutes and from the airport there are some dedicated busses that will take about 15 minutes. The bus station and tram station closest to the hotel is Yunokawa Onsen.
This was a great stay for us and we felt one night here was perfect. There is a lot to see in Hakodate and had we stayed longer we would have chosen a more economical option but this truly was a special treat for us.
DDanaiFirstly, the hotel located next to the train station and not far from the morning market and main street which can find a lot of restaurants at night, there also some shops and restaurants at the ground floor of the hotel and convenient store.
Secondly, the hotel provides onsen but it’s a bit crowed because the customer of the fitness outside the hotel also can use the onsen.
Thirdly, the hotel looks very new and clean.
BBaramee TIt's a clean, modern hotel in a walkable distance to the tram station and to the ropeway. The room is spacious, clean, and modern. Bed is comfortable, air conditioning and TV works great. Clean and modern bathroom.
GGuest UserThe hotel location is good. Easy to take bus/tram to many areas. The hotel staffs are helpful & friendly. There are many information we can get from the staffs & hotel notice boards of nearby eateries & tourist spot. The room is a bit small but it is expected.
GGuest UserThis is my first time traveling to Hokkaido. I am very satisfied with the trip to Hakodate. In particular, the hotel also provides shuttle buses to and from various attractions. The counter staff communicate well.
AAnonymous UserSuperb Breakfast The best breakfast in Hokkaido this trip, and Onsen. Free parking. Reasonable price. Definitely stay again if we come to Hakodate
GGuest UserTransportation: 8 minutes from the airport, half an hour from JR, the station is right at the door, there is no shuttle bus, but they will come out to take the luggage and send it to the room.
Room: The room is not big, the scenery is very good, although the weather was bad on the day I stayed there, but it was generally good. There are snacks and tea and beer in the refrigerator, and someone will come to make the bed at night. It’s just that the private bath has to be pressed all the time to get hot water, and the wind is very strong, and the curtain will blow away as soon as it is put down.
Food: Booked one night and two meals, but the buffet was not particularly good, a little deduction, and there were no drinks for dinner! You can only buy it yourself! When I went there, the lounge was under maintenance, but the staff provided me with a vacant place and sent me drinks, thumbs up 👍.
Public bath: Open 23 hours, 3-4 am is the cleaning time, there is a semi-outdoor hot spring on the 4th floor, and a sea view hot spring on the 7th floor. The male and female baths of the two hot springs will be exchanged, everyone remember to pay attention to the time.
The only difference between Huayue and Chaosaotei is the scenery. The rest of the dining and bathing options are in the same area, so you can choose by yourself.
エエゾシカ伝道師The staff at the inn were warm and moderate, and I was very comfortable.
While there were many non-smoking rooms, the companion who was a smoker was very happy.
In addition, the correspondence of the odor remaining in the room is also firm, and I think it can be comfortable.
It's a hot spring, but you can get the power of the source.
It is a hot spring of great satisfaction!
