Hotels in Dashizi Area, Guiyang

Wonderful location - 5 mins walk from Penshuishi station (not friendly for travellers with luggage though, there isn't elevator nor escalator. You need to climb the stairs with the luggage) - Guiyangbei station is just 15 mins car ride - satisfies anyone who needs the daily dose of coffee. Luckin Coffee is just at the hotel ground floor! - an array of street food and restaurants nearby - multiple convenient stores along the way Well-equipped hotel - voice-command XiaoAi for information and room lights, tv etc - full range of amenities offered - 24 hrs free laundry (much needed for travellers travelling for more than 7 days like us) - sumptious breakfast selection, offering both western and chinese options Friendly staff - receptionists greeted us with a big smile, welcoming us with open arms - they even shared information on tourism in Guiyang and how to get there - housekeepers were very friendly and diligent. Beds were made, mini bars were filled up, towels were changed (even we didn't request), floors were cleans and dry. Thank you for the hard work! In short, we will definitely choose Elong Hotel when we come back next time! So many sweet surprises to look forward to throughout our stay in Elong Hotel.

We met an exceptional lady, 郎月白at the reception who went the extra mile to help us buy tickets for the performance. She helped us to buy the tickets and even offered to bring us to the venue on her off day. We spent a lovely afternoon with her and got to know more about Guizhou and her during our interaction. She even gave us a lift to the airport. I’m glad we experienced Guiyang people’s hospitality and made a friend there. Thank you 月白 for everything and we hope to see u in Singapore soon!

The hotel is located right in the heart of town, conveniently located a 6-min walk to the West Zhongshan Road Subway station. The room was spacious and very clean. The linens were pristene and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was great and I really appreciated the Japanese toilet. The people at the desk spoke Chinese only, but I was expecting that based on the reviews I had read ahead of time, and with my basic language skills and a bit of help from our phones (translator) we managed fine. The reception people were very pleasant and helpful. The late-night snack (congee with several types of pickle) is a nice thing, except that there was none left the first night when I went. Best to go before 10:30 if you hope to enjoy it. The food, Chinese style, is copious and delicious. The regional specialities were a nice touch! The breakfast has some Western-style food as well, though less elaborate. There was a problem with the coffee machine the 2nd day, but it was fixed quickly. I would stay here again - the location and value for money was excellent. But if you need service in English, want English TV, and /or a full Western breakfast, this is probably not the hotel for you.

The location is excellent, and there is a snack street downstairs, which is very convenient. The housekeeper helped us upgrade the room type for free, which was a special surprise! The room is very large, the layout is great, the bathroom is separated into three parts, and there is also a large round bathtub~ The bedroom is circular glass, and it is very comfortable to look out the window through the gauze curtain at night😌 The sanitation is very meticulous, and I felt very safe throughout the stay~ The most satisfactory hotel in the whole trip to Guizhou, I will choose here next time!

Location is 5 star, no question asked. Close walkable location, to almost everything in old town. Room feel a bit outdated, here is a few thing. Few of the tile is cracked at sitting area, with a pointing edge which is dangers for children if running. There is bathroom black mold at some part of the floor cocking in shower. The worst part is the toilet, that flushes when your still on it, and also the spill water out when flushing. Other than that, friendly staff. Oh last thing, very slow elevator, and when u go down, u might stop by every floor due to share building with everything else.

為了在民生街美食街打卡方便，所以在網上選了這家酒店。入住的時候就帶來驚喜，大堂小妹免費升級為套房。 房間裏面還有一個麻將室可以打麻將。洗澡房夠大，乾濕分離。房間是智能語音遙控。關鍵是樓下就是美食街，非常方便。下次到貴陽，還是打算入住這家酒店。 忘記拍房間照片，衹有發兩張樓下的美食街照片。

It’s simply awesome! As soon as you enter the store, the staff are warm and thoughtful, instantly dispelling your travel fatigue. The room is clean and warm, with complete and new facilities and comfortable bedding. There are also exquisite small gifts and delicious midnight snacks. The location is excellent and travel is convenient. I will choose this place again next time I travel. I must recommend it to everyone!

Top reasons why I recommend this hotel: 1. Strategic location: Jiaxiulou, Wenchangge, food street, morning market, a shopping mall, etc., all within walking distance. 2. Commendable service with a HUMAN TOUCH: All staff members (front desk, night+morning shift personnel, cleaners, dining area, etc.) we met were kind, generous and friendly, making their best effort to fulfill guest needs! We arrived before noon, and Ms. Chen at the front desk offered a room upgrade to the fifth floor—the hotel’s highest floor—with immediate check-in. I liked some of the sweets available at the hotel lobby, but I couldn’t find the same variant at supermarkets and shops nearby before I left for the airport. Ms. Chen asked me to grab as many as I wanted—I felt shy, but she insisted—how generous! I forgot to thank her personally for recommending Dongshansi, where one could catch a bird’s eye view of the city, in addition to the appealing temple design. The cleaner on duty on Thursday, 13 June 2024, morning gave us extra body shampoo upon request with a friendly smile. She did a great job in keeping our room 519 spick and span, and odourless! The hotel delivered a pleasant surprise in the evening with two packs of milk, accompanied by a handwritten note!! Front desk staff were generous with bottled water. 3. Clean and spacious room, with comfortable beds: The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and well-ventilated. Of all the hotels with centralised air-conditioning systems that we stayed in different cities, this hotel’s room temperature regulation was the best, unlike others where you could feel hot even at a lower temperature! It would be ideal if the toilet room was soundproof. 4. Amenities and facilities: It’s one of the few hotels that provide self-service laundry for FREE! There’s a gym room within the same area on the fifth floor. Power banks and umbrellas, among others, are available on loan for FREE! 5. Supper and breakfast: Tasty and a wide selection of breakfast options, including noodles with sour/clear soup, prepared by professional chefs. Overall, it was a memorable stay, offering great value for money!

We had a good stay at the hotel. It was all clean and the staff was friendly. There are some restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The room size is a bit small but okay. If you want to save some money the hotel is fine. Just the fact that there is NO towels is not good! There is only disposable towels for your hands and also after showering. The smell of these towels is weird and they don’t dry you well. (The towels are shown in the picture)

I am very satisfied with the overall experience of the hotel. The front desk service attitude is good and the service efficiency is high. Luggage can be stored, shopping bags are provided free of charge, and the room was upgraded for me free of charge. The front desk lady is very enthusiastic.
