Guilin Hotels with Bars

Amazing hotel, I guess it has been renovated recently . The room is magnetic, and the staff can speak English quite well . Swimming pool, jacuzzis (3 of them), sauna and steam room, excellent gym with table tennis 🏓 equipments makes this property and excellent place to stay. Breakfast was excellent as I am a huge fan of Chinese food, not much of western food, but there are kids station, bread, coffee (good one) , sausage and bacon, and several other options of pastries such as croissants and danish. Thanks XiaoWu小伍 for the amazing service guiding us around the rooftop, taking pictures of us, and giving assistance providing all the important information on how to enjoy the hotel facilities . the only bad thing is the costumers , a huge amount of them smoke everywhere although there are signs saying the whole property is forbidden to smoke. The hotel should remove the ashtrays in front of the elevators . Unfortunately it is a problem in China when you go to hotels and makes very unpleasant the shared ventilation bringing smoking smell into other people’s room.

We spent 2 nights at Sheraton hotel in Guilin. The hotel is located very centrally in walking distance to most major tourist attractions and close to Guilin railway station. The staff was very attentive and absolutely accomodating for all of our wishes making our experience very memorable. The interior design of the hotel is well thought out and gives it a simple but elegant touch. The facilities include small swimming pool which we couldn't try due to the weather situation. The gym consisted of a handful of cardio treadmills and machines for resistance training from Life Fitness with an area in the corner with dumbells and foam rollers, yoga mats. The changing room came with a sauna. We can recommend the breakfast buffet which is a mix of Western breakfast and local specialties from Guilin. Out of the available package options we really enjoyed the photo shoot where they provide makeup and clothes(classy/elegant and Guilin traditional) to capture the amazing moments from the trip.

Overall, it's a good hotel. The room at 6th floor is cosy but a bit dusty at corners. Maybe it has been operating for more than 7 years. Delicious tea break and breakfast! Picturesque window view towards the elephant trunk hill in the morning 😍 . Complimentary professional photographing service by friendly freelance photographer!

Hotel Review: A Wonderful Stay at SYYF Li River Courtyard Hotel! I recently had the pleasure of staying at SYYF Li River Courtyard Hotel, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the cleanliness of my room—spotless and well-maintained, it felt welcoming and comfortable. The hotel’s location is another highlight. Nestled in a vibrant area, it’s just a short walk to a variety of restaurants, bars, and shops, making it incredibly convenient to explore the local scene. Whether you're looking for a cozy café or a lively nightlife spot, everything is within easy reach. One of the standout features of my stay was the hotel restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, with an emphasis on local cuisine that truly showcased the flavors of the region. The beautiful views from the restaurant added an extra layer of enjoyment to each meal, making it a truly memorable dining experience. Additionally, my room offered stunning views as well, allowing me to wake up to breathtaking scenery each morning. I also appreciated the thoughtful touches provided by the hotel, such as complimentary tea upon arrival. It was a lovely way to unwind after a long journey. The amenities in the room were also impressive, providing everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, I highly recommend SYYF Li River Courtyard Hotel to anyone looking for a clean, well-located hotel with excellent dining options featuring local food, beautiful views, and thoughtful amenities. Stayed for 3 nights at this lovely boutique hotel. The rooms are clean, modern and well maintained. The staff were friendly and incredibly helpful. I would recommend to friends and family. If there was one thing to improve, I think smoking and non smoking rooms should be completely separated - the hallways were filled with the smell of cigarettes and it also filled my room but otherwise, I would stay here again.

My first impression of Shangri La Guilin is that many staff speak English proficiently or at least the basics that are required for their job. I arrived an hour and a half before the check in time but they promptly checked me into my room without any long wait. My luggage was taken to my room by a bell boy whose English was even better than the front of the house. My initial thoughts of the room was that it was quite old fashioned and the interior design & amenities were dated in comparison to most 5 star hotels. The view however was exceptional. I could clearly see the garden, river and mountains. After my first night I was woken by some loud music. Though the staff tried to tell the dancers that playing the music was disruptive to their guests, they continued to play it which further frustrated me. I informed the guest manager Edward who was very helpful in rectifying this. He upgraded me into a much nicer room that he ensured me should be quieter. They also gave me complimentary fruits in the room which added to the nice gesture. This is exactly the kind of quality of service that earns them a 5 star rating. Carl at the front desk was also very competent and was very helpful when I had to pay for something through wechat. The room I came with was a package deal that included breakfast, spa voucher, photoshoot and club privileges. It was worth the extra cost as the all inclusive club buffet during happy hour was filling and tasty (photo attached). Breakfast was a Chinese buffet with a fusion of western basics such as cereal, toast and bakery items. If you have the time, I would highly recommend seeing Kelly (English name) for a ”signature Asian” massage at the spa. She applied the perfect pressure for me and was very kind. The photoshoot was organised through wechat and included 6 photos. The photographer was lovely and the final photos made special memories of my time in China. Suggestions for improvement: several items in the room are in need of repair or replacement eg. old hair dryer that lightly blows air (useless), flickering lights when you turn it on and the phones. I also think if they were to refurbish the pools outside then the place would appear less worn down. Overall, the service and reputation is what made this stay worth it. I look forward to staying at Shangri La again

Beyond my expectation. Service is at tip top. Walkable to many places of interest within 400m. The receptionists were so helpful giving directions as where to go and assist to call for cab anytime i needed the service. Remarkable housekeeper aunty, asking me need not wait for my laundry as she will make sure it is all done and will deliver to my room, she even drop me a note after sending the laundry on my bed. Got a upgraded family room which was spacious and on the high floor. The hotel 7th floor has a small pool and nice view of the Jingjang Wangfu background and the ancient city. They do served tea at 3pm with some nice cookies and desserts, breakfast was awesome with order to make famous Guilin Noodle soup. Highly recommend this hotel for personalize service and a comfort room. Would rate it 5/5. 酒店位置很好，房间卫生很干净，设施设备很齐全，有洗衣房健身房提供，一楼大堂还有免费咖啡提供，大堂环境也很好，宽敞明亮，前台服务员水琳服务很好.

Great hotel in a wonderful and convenient location. Staff were particularly helpful and check in was super easy. In particular, Peng Min at the hotel front desk was very patient in answering all our questions about tour bookings and even helped us book a 4 start cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo for the next day. Thanks to the team at the hotel for making our stay and trip so easy and enjoyable.

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the lake and city centre. The amenities were excellent, and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a mix of western and Chinese cuisine. The staff was welcoming and helpful. Overall, this was an excellent value for money.

This is certainly one of the best hotels you can book in Guilin !! We loved our stay here so much that we can't wait to come back and stay again for our next trip to China. Here are the highlights of our stay: 1) The hotel staff were all very friendly, especially the receptionist who checked us in when we arrived late at night. 2) The hotel building and our room are very clean and modern, with well maintained facilities and utilities 3) The view is simply amazing. Especially from our 270 Degrees View Suite on the 12th floor. 4) The spacious gym and pool (which is only for children) are also a nice addition 5) There is also a very useful washing machine and dryer 7) The rooftop area has some of the best views in Guilin 8) The location is fantastic and right what we needed, with quick access to local shopping centres and to parks/temples The things we recommend for improving: 1) There is not a lot of privacy from the toilet area which can be uncomfortable 2) The bed mattress is a bit more firm than what we prefer 3) The complimentary water provided by the hotel doesn't taste very nice (but this is a very minor inconvenience) Overall we can 100% recommend staying here and paying a little extra to book one of their amazing suites!
