"We totally enjoyed our stay at Mercure Guangzhou Beijing Road! We got an upgrade and late check out even though they didn’t formally recognise the Accor membership now. The minibar drinks were also fully complimentary and refilled everyday! Absolutely fantastic location with Beijing Road at your door step and McD and Chagee downstairs too!!"

"Hotel is conveniently located as same building as Mercure hotel. 蔡经理特别好！ Helped with booking for Didi and purchasing of circus tickets! Thumbs up! 👍! Rooms are clean and breakfast on 29th storey and laundry on 30th storey. Great place!"

"We received a complimentary room upgrade upon arrival. The room was very quiet, and the bed was comfortable. It was clean and not damp. On the first floor, complimentary self-service coffee, sour plum juice, and snacks were available. The TV in the room also supported screen mirroring, which was very convenient. Check-in at the front desk was quick, and the staff were very friendly. The location was convenient for getting around. Overall, I was very satisfied!"

"I stayed here for a few days for business. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was big, the sheets were clean, and I could sleep well. The cleaning was careful in every detail. After I entered the room, I got a call from the front desk asking, “Is this room okay?” I felt their care. During my stay, the front desk staff helped me a lot. They lent me scissors, tape, and an umbrella, and they also helped me extend my stay quickly. They supported me in many ways. If you stay near Guangzhou Railway Station, I recommend this hotel. thank you."

"Pros: Service was wonderful...we left something in a taxi and the staff went out of their way to help us retrieve. Typically if you need anything, they are polite and will provide prompt assistance. Location was ideal, easy to get around to key spots and food options. The property is new and the room was a good size, generally had everything you would need including a washing machine. Also next to a nice little theater. Neutral: Breakfast was offered basic options, which could be improved. The staff there was very nice. Cons: Internet was out the whole visit, the toilet seat has a sticky tape mark in multiple places, and maybe amenities not thought thru (1 bottle of soap for 3 sinks or does not have kid friendly options like step stools but does offer kids soaps/toothbrush). Generally a good stay, little extra touches would be excellent."

"I absolutely *strongly* recommend this hidden gem of a hotel! It's just a 7-minute walk to the subway station, making connections incredibly convenient for exploring the entire city with ease. The rooms are generously sized, never feeling cramped, with ample space even to spread out luggage. They're wonderfully bright with excellent natural light, and the decor is simple yet incredibly cozy. The bathrooms feature a practical wet/dry separation, and all facilities are sparkling new. The staff are exceptionally warm, attentive, and always go the extra mile to assist. The value for money is simply unbeatable! I'll definitely make this my go-to choice for all future visits!"

"The hotel is clean the room is big and the stuff is very helpful and friendly. Easy to walk around and I discover something very delicious opposite the hotel there’s this dumpling shop nice to eat and good to buy. I bought some cold dumpling to bring back home to enjoy with my family and friends😋 I have friends who is coming over in 2 months time. I would definitely tell them to stay in this hotel."

"As someone who rarely leaves hotel reviews, I absolutely have to give this hotel a thumbs up! First off, the front desk staff were incredibly professional, providing service with a smile during check-in. Everything in the room was brand new and very well-equipped. The 8th floor also features a laundry room with dryers. Ordered takeout? A robot delivers it straight to your room! The room was spotless, and the makeup mirror even came with its own lighting. What's more, there's a bakery nearby with my favorite bread – a true highlight! The location is excellent, very close to Canton Tower – just over 900 meters on foot – making transportation incredibly convenient."

"I have to admit that the hotel is very convenient, as it’s located very close to Nanzhou metro station. The room I stayed in was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. Unfortunately, China has yet to implement a no-smoking law for hotels, and many of the rooms in this property are designated for smokers. Although my room was spotless and odor-free, the corridors often smelled of cigarette smoke due to other guests leaving their doors open for reasons I couldn’t understand. While this is allowed in China and not necessarily a fault of the hotel, I do hope regulations will change soon. As for the room, I did have some concerns about the soundproofing—traffic noise and construction sounds from a building site across the street were quite noticeable. One important point to mention: I didn’t find any staff at the reception who spoke English. While it’s true that today we have many tools for real-time translation, I believe that in a modern hotel catering to international guests, having at least one English-speaking staff member at the front desk should be a basic requirement. It’s essential for getting local advice on restaurants, amenities, directions, and more. Another small note from a European perspective: breakfast was entirely traditional Cantonese, with no international options available—only some fruit. Also, the food items were not labeled in any other language, which might be confusing for some guests. Overall, my experience was very positive, and I believe this hotel has great potential for improvement in the future. Would I stay here again? Yes."
