Overall this hotel really comfortable for a staycation. Lobby reception staff are friendly and room cleanliness are 10/10.

The A/C in my first room 113 was very noisy so had difficulty sleeping. Next day after talking to reception I got changed to room 115 and all was perfect... Great service and great value.

Charming little hotel in Penang!! Attentive and kind staff with a delicious breakfast included in my stay. Would definitely return :)

My experience is a mixed bag. Love the decor and old-world charm. Food from Boomer's Restaurant was great. Housekeeping and maintenance, though, should pay more attention to linens and the upkeep of the rooms, e.g. bathroom door lock and the stale carpet and smoke odor. If they do this I believe they will have repeat customers.

I was so surprised when the front desk staff asked me to make a cash payment of RM100 as a deposit. I thought, this term is not in the terms & conditions as a guest. Luckily, I have enough cash to pay the deposit. This should be clearly communicated to the guest. What if he really doesn't have cash during the check-in process? Especially if the guest is a senior citizen. Isn't it inconvenient?

The room temperature upon arrival was about 40C, the tv has 1 channel, the toilet leaked and I stepped in the puddle late at night with no light on to go pee, and they called my room at 10:47pm to advise me that they would comp me a lunch! Overall, very disappointed.

Charming hotel except parking is limited. 

Satisfied with the cleanliness, love the antique feel and the family room design. Breakfast is nice although slow due to the ala cart and small kitchen. Reception service is ok but their knowledge is limited to within the hotel only. They know nothing outside the hotel even though it's just around the hotel within walking distance.

Nice place tucked away from the busy streets of Georgetown. Nice and comfy enviroment with unexpectedly good breakfast. Would recommend to anyone this this 3 star hotel.

Overall the room is nice and clean , you will enjoy the heritage feel of old Penang a lot here.

Nice decor and comfortable to stay

The pool is too small to swim! The location is too remote and inconvenient to get in and out, but the hygiene is very good!

This time I visited Penang again after 13 years. I wanted to visit places I hadn't been to last time and experience Nyonya culture again. So I chose a museum hotel with a Nanyang style. The hotel decoration is very distinctive and the transportation is convenient, but the room has no windows and the smell is not good. The hot water ran out in the middle of the shower because a switch controls the temperature. This is the first time I have seen this. There was an Indian woman at the front desk with a very average service attitude. The breakfast a la carte was a waste of time, and the front desk did not remind me that I needed to wait.

The room is huge, clean and the food is delicious. I was worried after reading the reviews, but the experience turned out to be quite good!
