Fenix Furano was a quaint little hotel with little frills, but it suited us fine... we understood the green policy behind minimising housekeeping, and we are totally fine with in.
One downside is that they didn't have non-slip mats for the bathtub when you used it to shower. The body soap was very soapy and with the tub surface; making it a potential safety concern... and indeed, my elderly mum-in-law fell and hit her head.. she had a bump and some bleeding. We hope that the management looks into this for the safety of all guests.
Apart from this, we enjoyed the tranquillity of the vacinity and drove out to wherever we wanted from there. We would recommend this place if you have a rental car.

my first time staying at a hostel and i am quite impressed. it is apparently quite new at the moment. it is clean in general. i booked a female only dormitory room for 4 nights and was lucky that i had the whole room for the first 3 nights. t
Owner is helpful and responds fast when i message them over trip.com. Worth the value to stay for those travel alone for ski/snowboard. Location is so convenient to the North Gondola.

NNick RandellVery good location for snowboarding. Able to walk to and from the slopes. Staff always happy to help either booking taxi or helping with more pillows. Only negatives are coffee at breakfast time could be better, more room in the ski lockers for our snowboards and more boot warmers and keep in mind Japanese beds and pillows….. nonetheless enjoyed our stay in Furano and highly recommend. Used the gym, the Onsen and laundry services and highly recommend.

SShmileyIt is the best place to stay in Furano. The bus stop is in front of the Hostel (if you are coming by bus from Sapporo). It is located 5 Min walking distance from the train station. The lounge is huge. The kitchen is amazing and stuffed with everything what you need for cooking. The showers are perfect. For the girls there is an extra room next to the restrooms to get ready, do your Make-up and change. The privacy you get offered is wonderful. The cleanliness overall in this Hostel was absolutely a dream. The matres is perfect. You are going to sleep like a baby. Was one of the best during my stay in Japan. The Café of the hostel is super lovely. Loved my Café Latte. Big shout to all the receptionists. Super kind, lovely and always helpful. Especially Kozue made my stay wonderful. She is a sweetheart. Helped me with so many things and recommended to me the best local Onsen I could have asked for. Overall my stay was a 10/10. Definitely going to stay again here when I am back in Furano. Highly RECOMMENDED! :)

LLynn hk2nd time stayed at La vista furano and got little disappointed as this time the hotel was just way too packed with many tours and tourists from south east Asia countries. Check in was fast and smooth and front desk staff were helpful. I requested a high floor quiet room away from noisy elevators but got assigned a low floor room near elevators. The tourists were in big groups and could be rude and noisy. Breakfast and ramen time the dining hall was chaotic. The lobby gets chaotic and noisy too. Onsen was good but I was not able to use the private ones. Breakfast buffet got good qualities of food and seafood but again too crowded. Think better place to stay in summer than winter.

I had an absolutely amazing stay, If you’re looking for a magical snow experience with top-notch hospitality, this is the perfect place.
• Breathtaking Snow & Ski Resort Access: The hotel is perfectly located near a ski resort, making it incredibly convenient for skiing and snowboarding. Waking up to a stunning snowy landscape was a dream come true!
• Immaculate Cleanliness: Every part of the hotel was spotless, from the lobby to the rooms and facilities.
• Exceptional Staff: The team was warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. Their hospitality truly made the stay even more special.
• Beautiful & Cozy Rooms: The rooms were spacious, elegantly designed, and super comfortable—perfect for relaxing after a long day on the slopes.
• Relaxing Onsen Experience: The onsen was the highlight of my stay! Soaking in the hot spring while surrounded by snowy scenery was the most peaceful and rejuvenating experience.

If you come to Furano (self-driving), you must recommend it; I can see that H2 is very hearty and has prepared a welcome card and refreshments; In terms of facilities, everything is available, the kitchen equipment and electrical appliances are first-class, cooking is very convenient, there is also a washing machine and a dryer, although the room does not have air conditioning, but at least a fan, if the window is opened, the summer night is also very cool. No photos of the room, but it feels similar to the website, it is the same beauty.

VVaganovaGreat location and service, couldn’t fault that. Helpful staff and literally across the road from the gondola. Great inclusions like afternoon tea with desert bar with nice selection of tasty deserts, ice cream and drinks in the evenings. Breakfast could be improved, great for those that like seafood, but not so great for more western food options. I am sure even in winter there are apples, bananas and other options rather than frozen fruits and pastry that comes in packages that lasts a few weeks or at least that is how pastry tasted. One of the kids only eats toast and eggs or pastry and milk for breakfast and couldn’t find anything to eat there. But my husband loved the buffet. Rooms are pretty outdated, so be mindful. Bathrooms haven’t had anything done to them since probably 80-90th, but it was clean and public bath was good. Restaurant was booked out for dinners for a week in advance (at least) when we checked in but it seemed like there is only one seating in general for dinner.

WWee HianReally near to the train station, and room is clean and reasonable sized in Japanese norm. Breakfast is provided with Japanese and Western set of your choice. Bus stop to the ski resort is just across the street. The only complaint is limited choice of restaurants around but there are supermarkets nearby to buy food.

AAnonymous UserGreat hotel for its price, nearby the Furano Prince ropeway and ski areas only 5 minutes by taxi or their daily shuttle bus that only service once 8.30am and back 6pm to and from the prince ropeway ski area. For dinner, it was close when we're there so I had to walk 15 mins to the nearest Lawson convince store in the snow. Recommend to get your lunch or dinner prepared before coming here. Room was clean and complete. Thanks for the hotel for a great stay

EEng Teck TanCant find my fault with the hotel. Service was good except the language part but they were helpful in most things you ask. Only the shuttle bus driver seem a bit impatient but overall good... Facilities are good as well... Room is a decent size compared to many other hotels that we have been to in Japan. Able to handle the whole family and still has space for 4 luggages.... The hotel even has an onsen which is great in winter..... Hotel breakfast is good although the whole 5 days we were there, there is no change in the menu at all but enough variety to last us for a few days - western, japanese etc.... Amenities are also good in the hotel.... Responsive concierge and housekeeping
