Great hotel. Stayed here before and it’s really nice for the price. Just be aware that they have an issue with their lifts at the moment, and I think it may be a while before they’re fixed from what a member of staff told me. They offer to carry your bags up to your room etc but, if you have mobility issues, you should confirm what floor your room’s on before booking.

The location is quite good. It takes only ~10min walk to the university of Edinburgh. And we are warmly greeted and patiently treated during our stay. Recommend it.

Value for money, great location n super friendly staff

I checked in on July 8th. The room was on the third floor. It was too hot and the curtains were broken to block out the light. I asked the front desk and said it would have to wait until next Monday July 11th) to fix it. Actually, July 11th is my check-out date. Therefore, the hotel facilities and services are not satisfactory, the stay of the three days, give me a very bad experience, these three days I did not rest well. It ruined my expectations for the holidays.

Friends who read this review, please carefully consider whether to book this hotel. I had a very good experience with the other Leonardo I booked before, so I chose the same brand. I chose this one because I had to go to Edinburgh to apply for a visa. It is indeed very close, 5 minutes walk, but the experience was very bad... First of all, the room card of this hotel cannot be placed very close to the mobile phone. As long as it is close, it will be demagnetized. If you can't open the door with it, you can only go downstairs to find the front desk. Secondly, the room is very small and very dark. There is a mirror facing the bed, which is very scary. I sent a video to my friend saying that I was scared and she told me to turn on all the lights. I asked her if there was a possibility that I had already turned on all the lights... Finally, when I wanted to use the kettle, I found that there was still water left in the kettle (which means that no one has cleaned the room carefully, and I don’t know which guest left the water). It was disgusting that I didn’t dare to open it to see, and it was useless. There were obvious water stains on the cup, and there were hairs on the towel (I understand), and the window could not be closed. There was a big car passing by at night and it was very noisy. I can only be thankful that I went to Edinburgh after taking a shower and only stayed for one day. In the morning, I found that the hair dryer was broken and could not be used, so I had to go down to the front desk. There was a black guy at the front desk who was very enthusiastic, but there was a fat man with glasses who looked like a supervisor and had a very bad attitude. When I went to the front desk for the second time to express that the card could not be swiped, he told me in a very bad attitude not to put the card and the phone together, but he had never told me before, and it was indeed the first time I stayed in such a hotel with old facilities. I am sorry that I really didn’t know this....btw The Uber Eats delivery guy ordered in the evening searched for a long time but couldn’t find this hotel (the door on the second floor, which is the door shown on Googlemap, is so small that it is basically impossible to recognize that this is a hotel). I followed the guy’s ass and shouted and ran until he stopped. All the comments are true and objective. Chinese people don’t lie to Chinese people.

Very good location, clean but small and old It's almost the same in Europe and the UK But overall it's good, very expensive. There's nothing cheap in Edinburgh's old city. Location is very good

Very old facilities, dark environment. What dissatisfies me the most is that the hotel's kettle is extremely dirty. So much so that I don't have hot water to make tea. For the price of more than 2,000 RMB, it is not worth it.
