Country Hospitality at its finest is what you will find when you stay at the Abel Tasman. The rooms are clean and comfortable and there is a club over the road for meals and entertainment. The hosts go the extra mile to accommodate their guests and even supply biscuits in the room. We thoroughly enjoyed our unexpected stay after our car broke down. Will be staying again! Faultless. Welcoming friendly hospitality. The room was very clean, beds super comfortable, pillows great. Little touches were thoughtful & made a difference. The whole experience from initial booking to check out was easy & memorable. Highly recommend & will definitely stay again

From the friendly greeting from the managers to the immaculately clean bathroom and super comfy bed - this place is a haven at the end of a long day’s drive. Great location and just opposite Club Dubbo so simply walk across the road for decent pub grub and a cool drink. Highly recommend!

Mike and Tracey are wonderful people you will ever meet. They took the time to understand our needs and made our 2 night stay wonderful. The disabled room meet our needs. The room was spacious and plenty of room in the bathroom. The breakfast were awesome

We arrived for a 3 day stay and entering the room I find a chip on the floor which I found odd. I open the fridge to put some of our groceries in and noticed the fridge had clearly not be wiped out. I look at the kitchen bench and there are crumbs all over the counter top. I Immediately think, this room has not been cleaned. I have worked in hotels long enough to know the room attendant had either forgotten to come back or wanted to go home early and that noone had checked it. I decided to look around and found that the dining table was covered in food, the microwave was splattered with food, the cupboard in the lounge had the previous peoples blankets and pillows which has been used just thrown inside. The lounge was greasy and food all over it, the TV had hand prints all over it, the bathroom sink was dirty and the floor wasn’t clean. I just couldn’t take it anymore so headed to reception where I told them that I hate complaining about this but the room is filthy and I have just had to clean everything. The owner says I will come take a look. I said well I have cleaned it all now. He takes photos of the cupboard and a few other things and says sorry about that this person will not have a job tomorrow . I was literally taken back by the lack of I am sorry We are booked out but I will get it cleaned immediately. It was basically bad luck wait til tomorrow. Luckily the linen was fresh but we all felt so dirty. Having to clean an entire room without any compensation was rubbish. The next day the room was cleaned but it just wasn’t good enough and I will never stay here again. The pool was filled with leaves and cloudy water and wasn’t clean. I know it’s a country town but if you want return guests this is not how you handle the situation. The room we stayed in was two bedrooms and it was decent in size and what we needed but it was unclean. It was odd as the reviews had said how clean they were. I know it’s probably a one off but I think they handled it so poorly which was very disappointing.

Very spacious rooms. Comfortable beds. Welcoming and helpful reception. The front room near Reception facing the highway had a lot of road train noise at night; the other room on the side was fine. Good location close to town with views and across the highway from lovely parkland down to the river. Close to the Zoo and the Dubbo Club across the road was great for dinner. Lots of parking, but a bit of landscaping would be nice.

Mike was a fantastic host , after ringing up to book 3 1/2 hours away from Dubbo, he was still there to meet us upon arrival and explain everything we needed to know. Room was great with comfy beds after a huge day driving. Make sure to ring direct for better rates. Thanks for everything.

Lovely management who are pleasant, kind & great sense of humour. Super clean and nice room. Great parking and bring your bikes. The bike track to Dubbo Zoo is across the road. The Dubbo goal isn’t far either. Definitely remembering to return here when going to Dubbo. Love the building itself as well.

My family of 5 stayed recently in the two bedroom unit for 2 nights. We found this to be very spacious and clean. We have a large car and parking was not a problem. Kids enjoyed a quick dip in the pool. Milk, tea, coffee, facilities and bickies provided. $10 Laundry service to wash/dry was very very useful. Would recommend as a good stop over. Complex across from club Dubbo which is also very handy.

Really enjoyed our stay at this clean motel. The owner (I guess!) at reception was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and thoughtfully appointed., with a fridge, kettle, toaster, crockery and cutlery. Plenty of parking outside, even for our oversized car and trailer!
