This was a short stay at the Four Points Production City, for business, but have stayed here before at least 3-4 times.
The rooms are always impeccably clean and comfortable, with very good housekeeping, and quite quiet. I do only wish the AC had more adjustments, as I find it a bit chilly in the room! Dining wise, the breakfast is always good, and there are several quite good dining facilities, which I've tried and enjoyed 4 of them before.
However, the real standout, and this has been consistent over my visits, is the service level, which I find comparable to some of the best hotels in Dubai. Most particularly, the reception team is outstanding - always go the extra distance to support, offer suggestions, very friendly, and professional.
Will certainly be coming back here again.
Before booking, I read some reviews mentioning the hotel was a bit dated, but honestly, the decor and maintenance are quite good, and it didn't feel old at all. Any issues were promptly addressed by calling room service, and someone was sent over very quickly. Our double room was very spacious, and the breakfast spread was excellent. The restaurant where breakfast is served also offers a good dinner, with a 20% discount for hotel guests. Overall, the service was outstanding; the staff were polite, warm, and very responsive.
My only minor complaint (perhaps taking off half a point) is the wait time at the front desk, and a slight hiccup during check-out. We were initially asked to pay a tourist tax which we had already settled. After a supervisor confirmed it wasn't required, some time was unfortunately wasted.
The hotel's location is excellent. It's only one metro stop away from both the Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Mall (though realistically, walking from the Dubai Mall Metro station to the mall itself takes about 10 minutes, and the area around there is quite chaotic with ongoing construction, making it tricky and a long walk to find a ride-sharing pick-up point). This, of course, is not the hotel's fault! It's also just one stop from the Museum of the Future (in fact, walking there might even be quicker than taking the metro or a taxi, especially if the weather isn't too hot).
The rooftop pool isn't huge, but it's a great spot to watch the sunset, and the bar offers stunning city night views.
The only real inconvenience is that the hotel's main entrance is situated right before the entry ramp to a major expressway. While the hotel's contracted drivers know to maneuver a bit to get onto the main road quickly, ride-sharing services or regular taxis will often take a long loop around the hotel's side roads, only to come back to a spot near the front entrance before joining the main road. The detour isn't the biggest issue; it's mainly that you'll likely be stuck in traffic for a while. Generally, morning traffic is much smoother.
The location Is great. Easily accessible from SHARAF DG metro station, which is about 5-6 min walk.
The reception staff are professional and friendly- as expected from a hotel of this size.
The check in process was smooth and efficient
The bed is comfy and had good sleep as the room was very big, even for the standard king sized bed room.
The amenities are as expected from Marriott.
The gym and sauna are great too.
Breakfast buffet was fantastic.
Overall verdict: well worth the price. Can’t ask for more for the amount paid. £45 a night inc breakfast.
