You can see that it is an old hotel and can't really compare with other 5 star hotels on many aspects. But it is probably understandable considering the very remote location. Nevertheless, we were extremely satisfied with their service, especially from Ms Angel. Firstly, they gave us a free room upgrade and even decorated our room nicely after knowing that we were on our honeymoon. Angel also contacted us beforehand to make sure everything was ok, she was so friendly and helpful throughout, and when we were leaving, she even went out of her way to make multiple phone calls to make sure our bus seats back to Shangri-la was secured. Would highly recommend for the hospitality alone.

The flight tickets and hotels were booked on short notice. I always wanted to come to Yubeng to see if it was what I imagined. I initially looked at Youle and Yeyu. It was said that the afternoon tea was good, but when I scrolled down, I found that the view of this room was invincible, so I booked this one. Generally speaking, the sanitary conditions were okay. I also brought disposable bath towels. The water was not very hot, so I washed and dressed quickly. The place was a bit difficult to find, because when I entered the village, I met two people who lived in the butter tea. They said it was not far to walk up, so I could only follow them. In fact, there is really no need to save these 60 yuan. When traveling, you can spend money easily. The walk up caused me to get lost from the lower Yubeng to the upper Yubeng. Fortunately, the hotel pointed me the way. The view from the hotel room is really good. The next day, I opened my eyes and lay on the bed and saw the golden mountain in the sun. Finally, I did not live up to my hard days of trekking through mountains and rivers for two days!

There are snow-capped mountains on three sides, the White Horse Snow Mountain on the left, the Goddess Peak and the Five Crowns Peak facing each other, and the General Peak and Kawagebo's head on the right. It should be the best location in the whole Yubeng. The overall view is very clean, and the only regret is that the wooden structure is not soundproof.

This time, I stayed in Meili and went down the mountain. The experience was really full! Driving from Songtsam Linka to the hotel, we crossed mountains and ridges all the way, and the highest altitude reached 4,000 meters. Fortunately, I prepared the Bestcon oxygen concentrator in advance. Arrived at around 4 pm, and a hot towel was handed to us as soon as we entered the hotel, which warmed our hearts. The front desk supervisor Zhuigaram enthusiastically introduced the hotel to us, and then we went to the 4th floor to enjoy afternoon tea. There were floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides, and we could see the magnificent scenery of the 13 peaks of Meili. This experience was amazing! When we left, Zhuoma Laci saw us off and thoughtfully prepared a souvenir knot for the children. The little guy was very happy. The knot had a beautiful meaning and added a warmth to this journey. The staff here are simple and kind, and it feels like being blessed by the sacred mountain. Thanks to the gift of nature, I saw the sunset and the sun shining on the golden mountain, and my heart was full of joy. After that, there is a 3-day 2-night Yubeng hiking trip. The young couple who went with me said that the guide who went down the mountain was very professional, which made me look forward to coming back next time. Meili Mountain is really a place you don’t want to leave once you come, and you want to come again after leaving!

Yourland Hotel is run and operated by a very hard working lady who essentially does everything herself - from welcoming guests, cooking breakfast, cleaning the rooms and washing the bed sheets & laundry. The rooms are very clean and neatly organised, it has all the comforts that any hiker should need in such a remote location that is high up in the mountains (e.g. electric blankets, warm showers, etc.) Please do note that the warm water does need sometime to reheat especially if another guest takes a shower right away after the first guest. It will not be sufficient time for the water heating machine to heat the water. You should take note of the number that is displayed on the water heater. By default in our room, it showed the number of 44 and after the first guest took the shower, it went down to 19. If someone takes a shower right away at that moment, it will be cold so the next person should wait a bit until the number displayed moves up. The views in the morning are amazing as you can see the mountain ranges on three different sides so you get a very good panoramic view from the terrace of the hotel. After a long day of hiking, our moods were lightened up when we were welcomed by the friendly and playful Labrador Retriever whose name is Dou Dou. Such a lovely dog ＜3. I would recommend you to stay here if you are looking for a place to stay in Upper Yubeng, it's good base for your planned hikes to the Glacier Lake and Nise Ranch. The place might be a bit difficult to locate if you arrive in Yubeng late at night (like we did since we walked all the way from Ninong, which was really tiring), but once you get the gist of it, it's very easy to remember and locate.

The main reason for booking was because the hotel is right on the Lancang River at an altitude of only 2,100 meters, which can avoid altitude sickness. There are Yubeng Village, Mingyong Glacier, Feilai Temple, etc. in the surrounding area. The room is very hygienic, the bed is just the right size, and there are large floor-to-ceiling windows. When Bingzhongluo arrived at the hotel via the Degong Highway, it was raining and there was a cloud and mist outside the window. After resting on the bed for a while, I looked out the window again and saw that the clouds opened and the Kawagbo Snow Mountain was right in front of me! ! ! There are still no suitable words to describe the excitement at that time. Go sit down on the hotel's viewing platform, make a cup of tea, and just quietly look at the snow-capped mountains, glaciers, Lancang River, and the large vineyards near the hotel. The boss said that if we come in August, grapes and other fruits will be ripe, but now the grapes are still too sour. For dinner, I ordered fried pork with mushrooms and vegetables from my own field. They were very delicious. It was the most relaxing and joyful day during the self-driving trip on the circular route in northwest Yunnan. The hotel bathroom has an automatic toilet, which may have been upgraded later. It feels a bit high.

The most satisfying hotel in the entire Shangri-La trip. I personally think that Meili Shanju is better than Songzan Linka! The hotel public areas and rooms use a lot of wood for decoration, especially the rooms, almost all wooden furniture, very textured, the room lighting is also very warm, at night the whole room is very homely, very comfortable to live in! The deluxe mountain residence king-size bed room booked is very large, it is a small suite with a small living room, a bedroom, and a separate small balcony. The balcony window faces the Meili Snow Mountain, and the view is excellent! The dinner in the hotel's Chinese restaurant is a set meal, and the product of 350 per person is very amazing and cost-effective! Although there are not many varieties of breakfast, the taste of the single items is great, and the handmade noodles and rice noodles taste great! The afternoon tea is a little simple, and all the service staff of the hotel are enthusiastic and professional. When checking in, they will send a pair of handmade cloth shoes for guests to change into, full of ritual! The Arc'teryx store in Meili Shanju also has more styles than the Songzan Linka store!

The place is fine. I’ll just say that. The bunk bed was fairly clean, but the public toilets are not clean the whole time. The cleaning staff comes to clean the toilets once a day or once every two days which makes the experience a bit uncomfortable. The food they sell is very tasty, but make sure you order early because they run out of it very quickly

The space is more spacious than expected It felt like I was back in my own country. The quilt was a little heavy, but we slept well. The restaurant downstairs is delicious and suits our taste very well. We ate there for 2 nights in a row and it was raining after we finished eating. The food in the restaurant is delicious, and the lady boss is very nice. Regarding the Coke I brought, I just asked if I got it here or if I brought it myself. There was no ill intention at all. I thought it was strictly forbidden to bring your own food. The inn also has 12 cats, which are so cute. They have cat toys and electric blankets, which is really great in the countryside. Will recommend it to friends who want to live in Shangyubeng
