The location is very close to the ancient city, surrounded by shopping malls, supermarkets, night markets, and very convenient. The boss is very nice and recommended many places.

I actually stayed here for three nights, in two different rooms. Both the rooms were very spacious and light, which I appreciated. The room wasn’t spotlessly clean but definitely satisfactory for the price paid. The biggest problem for me was with the bathroom. In the first bathroom, the smell of smoke seemed to be coming through the vent from another room, and in both bathrooms the shower would benefit from hotter water and better water pressure. Despite this, the manager and the sister who worked on the reception were both very friendly and helpful. The manager let me use her phone number for my food delivery(so she could speak to and direct the driver) and even drove me to the hospital to take a COVID test on my last night. They couldn’t have done more to help me and I really appreciated it. I would definitely stay here again if I returned to Datong.

It is not prepared for foreigners, it was difficult to find because it was a door and the sign was in Chinese and did not have the name in common letters, impossible for someone from outside to find. The system he uses is more for local people because there is no one at the reception, there is even no reception, when you arrive you have to call him on the phone to open the door for you, in my case he used an eSIM so I couldn't talk to him on the phone, a The guy helped me call with his cell phone, but if that guy didn't help me, I had no way to communicate with the owner. I used WeChat more than anything for everything but foreigners don't have it, I was able to communicate with the man later through Alipay but the man did not receive notification of the message so a continuous chat could not be maintained. The owner was kind to pay for my laundry because the code they used was from WeChat and I couldn't use it. The location is the best thing about it, there are many cheap places to eat around.

Very good youth hostel, sorry, I ate spicy food in the room, the smell may not go away in winter, the boss noticed and brought me a bath towel and hung up my clothes, so good 🥹, I will choose this youth hostel next time I come to Datong!!! Overall it's OK, the location is very good, the decoration is OK, the service attitude of the lady at the front desk is very friendly, but the overall infrastructure has some problems and I hope it can be improved. One is that the curtain in the shower room cannot be closed because it is a screen. It can be seen clearly from the outside. I have to leave the bathroom door open these days and then make a self-made block before I dare to take a shower and go to the bathroom. The second is that the shower is not connected to the electricity. The problem is, I feel a slight electric current when I touch the shower switch. I have to unplug the power before I dare to take a shower.

Room are humid but luckily the front desk willing to change room, since room have the musky smell. Location are near to train station but still u need taxi. Beside of taxi u can't go anywhere. And even no convenient store around the hotel. U need to buy whatever u need before coming back to hotel

The front desk service attitude is very good, I want to adjust the room type booked online, the front desk is very refreshing to change other room types at the same price, the room air conditioning is very powerful, the night sleep is also very cool, the overall is relatively clean, the shower has shower and sprinkler, water temperature is also suitable, come to Datong will stay here in the future
