Datong Hotels with Gym

Spacious room, clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were more than adequate with a choice of varieties. Hotel location was ok just outside the wall though neighbouring shops were all shuttered. Taxis plentiful and inexpensive. Nightly dinner was at the hotel restaurant - good food, surprisingly very affordable prices and extremely good services from the staff. What stood out most were the very helpful, cheerful staff, at the front desk, restaurants, and cleaners!

The hotel is situated not far from the old walled town and equal distance to the shopping area. Formerly a Holiday Inn now independent. The rooms are large and comfortable with good work desk and wifi. Comfortable bed gives good rest. The fridge had been removed but there is kettle and plenty of water, every day some fruit was delivered to the room which I appreciated. Hotel has gym, swimming pool and two restaurant, given the price it was very good value for money and I would happily stay again.

The hotel is in a good location with the ancient city behind it. The room is decorated in a beautiful European style with an artistic atmosphere, clean and tidy. At night, you can see the scenery of the ancient city after the lights are on outside the window. The bathroom facilities are a little old, after all, it is a renovation of an old hotel. The breakfast is varied and rich, and the knife-cut noodles are really delicious. Parking is convenient with security guidance.

Nice breakfast and good location, easily accesible from the city center and the station. Hotel and rooms look luxurious and the front desk staff is very helpful and attentive. Nice breakfast with a lot of options, both Western and Chinese. Definitely a place to come back!

Super! They have bathtubs (a rarity in China) and a swimming pool! I booked this place after leaving another hotel and had no idea it's has 5 stars. It's very fancy. The beds are incredibly soft and comfortable. The staff is generally kind and helpful, except for the restaurant staff, who seemed not very cultured. The hotel hosts a lot of businessmen and wedding parties, so you have a few guys smoking at in the hall at night, but it's not a big problem. The rooms are quite big so the noise doesn't carry very far.

Very good old style hotel in a very beautiful building with nice gardens and fountains in front of it. It is located outside the city walls, but with very easy and quick (10 min) access to it by bus or taxi. It is at walking distance to VoVo Park, a reasonably good shopping mall with very good food options. The room was quite spacious and comfortable, clean and well equipped. Staff is very nice and helpful.

The hotel's location is right next to the Drum Tower, and it's in the center of the ancient city, so it's very convenient to go anywhere. I was originally worried that old hotels would have old facilities, but after checking in, I found that it didn't exist at all, and the hygiene was very good. The service is even better, from the front desk to the restaurant, to every service staff I met, they were very warm and polite. The hotel restaurant has good food, and many locals come to eat, and there are small portions, which are very friendly to small groups of people with small appetites. Breakfast is even more recommended, with knife-cut noodles on site, and a special lady making latte art for you! It's decided, I'll stay here when I go to Datong in the future!

Great apart from the wifi and coffee machine Very clean, very modern. Lovely rooms and great staff. Excellent customer service. But, the wifi was terrible, only 10mb and this impacted a number of planned meetings. Coffee machine at breakfast didn’t work well and breakfast buffet was a bit crowded. Ithink wifi struggled because hotel was full of customers. Mostly tour groups. As long as you don’t need wifi this is a great hotel

If you order takeout in the middle of the night, the robot can deliver it to the door to avoid embarrassment~ Hygiene: very clean Environment: Located in a relatively prosperous location in Datong, you can order a lot of takeaways nearby, and it’s very convenient to go anywhere. Service: Very considerate. Warm water will be prepared to drink on the way when checking out. There is also a laundry service, which will be delivered to the room after drying. This is the most satisfying hotel I have stayed in.

This homestay experience must be sincerely recommended to everyone! When I first chose the homestay, I was very nervous and hesitated whether to choose this one. Later, a friend who had stayed there strongly recommended it. I did some homework myself and read all kinds of reviews. I found that his reviews were simple and real, without any false bragging. After all, I had a bad experience of being ”cheated” by reviews before, so I was extra cautious. When I really arrived at the homestay and took a look, wow, this is not a ”photo cheat”, the real scene is simply beautiful, and the stay experience is far beyond expectations. Everyone in the family laughed and was very satisfied. What's more surprising is that I met the legendary boss, who turned out to be our Beijing fellow, and his smile was particularly kind. Why is it called the legendary boss? It turns out that he is a big shot in the outdoor world and has climbed the world's highest peak, Mount Everest. This experience is amazing! After chatting with the boss for a while, I found that he is knowledgeable and has a wide range of interests. He can talk about astronomy and geography. After such a chat, I felt enlightened. The fatigue and anxiety brought by the big city were swept away. I gained a lot. This trip was so worthwhile!
