Very peaceful get away from life. Lots of areas to lounge around and look at the scenery. The hostel also has so many friendly cats for you to hang out with. The staff are friendly and help with your luggage. There’s a shuttle to the town every hour. Only downside is that the double room beds are really hard.

Recommended !!! More than my expectation !! The host is very nice, helpful and supper support. Take care and help us carry the baggage up to 4th floor. Free shuttle bus from hotel to ancient town, very convience. Nice breakfast !! The host speaks well in eng. easy for communication.

amazing really private dorm beds, great service, staff was really friendly and helpful with planning the rest of my trip!! they also have really cute cats and a really cute dog!

Staff are nice, beds are good. The hostel was clean. I saw the dorms before they were cleaned (some of the guests should consider travelling with their mum) and after - the staff put the effort in to clean. Problem is that the hostel is far from anywhere and a 75m uphill walk. No problem to do once or twice. Had to do it 4 times in one day. They claim there is a shuttle but it has no markings that would help you know it belongs to the hostel and I heard it only goes once per hour. I only managed to get it once when I was with another Chinese tourist. The dorms have an issue. One toilet and shower for 8 people. Also the toilet and shower do not lock. So you have to check through the crack in the door whether there is someone sitting on the toilet. Weird. The dorm was also hot. The aircon wasn't running so they left the door open the whole time including overnight. The front door doesn't have a lock so there isn't much security. Yes, you have a locker but it's so small. It's only suitable for local travellers with a small backpack So I can't recommend this for international travellers.

Very nice homestay. Chill vibe. Good people and service. Free pick up and drop off from old city. Food was good. Cats and dog running around. Ping-pong table. What's not to love!

I had a great stay here. Very chill, but very clean hostel. Great atmosphere, music and pets and pool and snacks. In a location on a hill overlooking Dali with gorgeous views of the city and the mountains. Stayed here for over a week. Would come again. 谢谢你们。

I had a lot of fun here and met wonderful people. Bathroom did smell of cigarettes.. but this is common in China

It's located a little far off of everything, but they offer rental mopeds and even drive you to the ancient city at any time. Very helpful staff and great vibe.

A few rules of conduct would be appropriate. Some guests behave extremely uncivilized. I don't know if this is normal, but nobody seems to wash their hands with soap. Even urinating without splashing water next to the toilet is apparently too difficult for some. There is huge dog in the hostel, which might be cool for most people but some might be afraid and also there are hairs of cat and dog everywhere in the common area. This is not the hygiene standards you would expect from a hotel/hostel. Smoking inside is not allowed, but some guests don't care. The bathroom in the dorm is a joke. First its always bad to have the bathroom not separate, you will hear people **** and piss all night. The doors are made of mikly glass and don't even have locks. One time the toilet was clocked and the water run over the floor. Zero privacy, zero hygiene, zero behaviour of guests. Can't really recommend it.

Regarding the issues you mentioned about going to the toilet and smoking, we have posted signs to remind you, but it is inevitable that some friends do not pay much attention. You can directly inform the front desk or communicate directly with your friends. In addition, our dogs never attack humans, nor do they approach us on their own initiative. Even if you are afraid of dogs, they can pass by and stay in public areas normally. As for the hair issue you raised, it is inevitable that cats and dogs will have hair problems when living with humans, but it is not as serious as you say. We will increase the frequency of daily cleaning to ensure the hygiene of public areas. There are also toilets and showers in the room, which you should be able to see when you make the reservation. If you find it unacceptable, you can choose a youth hostel with a public bathroom. Private bathrooms have conveniences and disadvantages, and it is not perfect. Thank you for your valuable comments. Very cool hostel / hotel! Modern-decorated rooms, very spacious and luxurious. Looks like the pictures. The vibe of the place is great - mix of hostel, cool community and hotel. Lovely pets. Breakfast included and nice rice noodles! Moreover, one can rent scooters. Totally recommend.

Room and hostel generally clean and the receptionist speak little english. They communicate via WeChat. There is a shuttle bus service from the hostel to the fire station near Dali ancient city from 09:00- 24:00. There is a self laundry on the rooftop. The view from rooftop also 🤌🏻 ✨ They also offer small group tour package with affordable price. Cute cats and dogs. Minor: the location is a bit far from the old city and a bit isolated. If you want a comfortable stay, book a private room instead. Some of the guest scattered their make up and even cut their hair on the share sink and didn’t even clean it. For me, your personal item should be in your personal locker. So that other guests comfortable to use it after. Maybe the receptionist should emphasise it during checkin.

What can I say, I came for the 7 fluffy and beautiful cats 😻I wish I had more free time to cuddle them! Hostel is just outside the old town but with the free rides they offer it's not a problem. Easy access to one of the Cangshan cable cars, and to the bus going to the train station. The staff is helpful and they also offer tours. the mattress is too thin but that seems to be the case in many hotels in china
