I had a fantastic experience at the newly opened ICT Rathnadipa Hotel in Colombo. From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional. The hotel is beautifully maintained, with modern facilities and a peaceful atmosphere that made my stay truly relaxing. The food was delicious and offered a great variety of choices.
A special thank you to the wonderful staff who made my stay even more memorable:
Mr. Andrew, Lasantha, Minuri, Erandi, and Dinethma from the Front Office – your hospitality and warm service were outstanding. You all went above and beyond to ensure I felt welcomed and comfortable throughout my stay. I truly appreciate your efforts.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Colombo and look forward to coming back soon!

Our first stay at this hotel and it was delightful. Quick and friendly check in, we were generously upgraded to a one bedroom suite which was very spacious with a seperate living room. It has a fully functional kitchen, with dishwasher and a washing machine for clothing. Balcony and well appointed room with coffee machine. The breakfast which was included in our room rate was delicious and had a broad range of options. We chose this hotel over the Shangri-La and were very happy with the choice and the hotel is much newer and therefore at the moment, in better condition. Swimming pool is large and receives lots of sunshine. I would stay here again.
My stay at ITC Ratnadipa Sri Lanka from February 20 to 21, 2025, started off perfectly, but was completely ruined by the poor management and questionable practices of the hotel staff.
The biggest issue was the payment process, which was confusing and mismanaged. I was charged multiple times, including unauthorized retention charges and additional unexplained transactions. Despite reaching out via email for clarification, I received no response, which only reinforces the feeling of being misled.
Additionally, I was forced to pay $90 in cash to a hotel driver without a proper explanation of the charge. The lack of transparency and unwillingness to resolve these concerns made the entire experience feel like a scam rather than a luxury hotel stay.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values clear communication, professional service, and honest billing. Avoid this place unless you want to deal with financial headaches and zero customer support.

Very beautiful hotel, especially the night view. It is a rare experience to watch the sunset from the sky bridge on the 29th floor. The breakfast is rich, mainly Indian style but there are many types, you can always choose the right one. The breakfast room faces the sea and it is very romantic. In addition, the waiter's attitude is really good, responsive, and treats guests as gods. But I still have to complain a little. I booked a room for 3 people and specified 2 beds, but the 2 beds they can provide are split from a 1.8m big bed. How can I sleep well? A room like this for 3 people should have at least one bed that is not less than 1.2m.
Because it is a new hotel, everything is OK. There are too few Chinese people staying here, because it's a hotel opened by an Indian, and most of the guests are Indians. There are relatively few white people. I stayed there for three consecutive days and was not used to the food.
This is a great hotel, very grand, and the hardware is far better than the Sheraton Hotel I stayed in before. The room is very large, so the price/performance ratio is quite good. The hotel has many types of breakfast, but mainly Indian food.
