Among the three-star hotels, this chain store under Hilton's name is quite good. The four-star hotels in many places can't compare with each other. Let you feel at home. The hotel has free parking, but it is not suitable for children, because there are no attractions and facilities for children to play nearby.
Definitely pick somewhere else to stay. This hotel actually CHARGES you to park there. I have never heard of hotels doing this unless you are downtown in a major city or parking in a parking garage. Not only that, the rooms are super outdated. Plus, our TV doesn’t work, and they only gave us one coffee pod for our Keurig. Oh and there is no free breakfast. Plus side is that the staff is nice and there is a bar. But all the little things you get charged for and/or don’t have will cause me to never stay here again.

GGuest UserI was traveling through Amarillo on my way home. I had my dog with me. I had stayed at another hotel in town that charged me $75 pet cleaning charge. Decided on Holiday Inn Express. Good Decision!!
TTianzhenlanmanfangyanweilaiI don’t expect too much for the American economy hotel. This hotel is great value for money. The pig skin for breakfast is delicious.
JjenwhiteMy Hisband and I had a great one night stay. The man that checked us in by the name of Danny was so awesome and very sweet man very friendly and very helpful. Because of him and the clean rooms we will definitely be back when we go threw again. Thank you for a wonderful safe place to stay..
Love the bed it was so comfortable. I loved the customer service. Gina was sweet and kept checking on us. The only reason why I give 4 stars is that there was something in the Jacuzzi that looked like poop. Other than that the hotel stay was great and the breakfast was very tasty
GGuest UserWon’t be back- -Award night not allowed for platinum -Internet was terrible -door had to be closed forcibly to close - loud due to proximity of interstate - hard to get to for construction All of these were inconveniences but livable. Hotel was theoretically sold out so we couldn’t book another room for family member. Then Our toilet stopped working and they told us no one here to fix it but would move us to another room. When I said I thought you were sold out, I was told that “we keep an extra of each room type for when things like this happen. I asked if we could also use the room without a working toilet since no one else could use it for the night. “No but we could sell it for 1/2 price”. So we couldn’t use award night, no consideration for moving rooms, and were “allowed” to pay another $85 for a room with no toilet. It’s rare for us to stay at holiday inn Express anymore. Normally it’s holiday inn when we use IHG properties. Last few experiences with express have all been subpar. This one appeared to be clean- but not the service we’re used to- and certainly no feeling of appreciation. My rule is to stick with 4 star or better ratings when booking- broke my rule for this one location… but wish I hadn’t. The fact that they were able to squeeze an extra $85 out of us I guess gives them the win.
We loved our stay. They have remodeled and done a lot of updating inside and outside. This is a local family owed hotel. They also have great employees they were great and helpful. We will be back and we recommend to anyone staying in Amarillo.we have family in Amarillo so we stayed at a lot of different places and this was our favorite.
We entered our first room and the bed wasn’t even made. Then we had to search 10 different rooms until we finally found a room that wasn’t smelly. The bathroom door didn’t even close for the first room, and the lock for our other room wasn’t working. The shower was also disappointing. The wall were cracked and the bed sheets had stains on them. We talked to one of the workers (I believe it was manager) the next morning, but all they said was we should’ve searched for more rooms, which is completely unacceptable as it was already around midnight when we reached. Definitely do not recommend this place.
GGuest UserThe owner was very nice as well as the staff. We stayed there for a night with our dogs and cat and the owner went out of his way to accommodate our pets. I really did appreciate that as it is very hard to find rooms that will take in multiple pets. I would stay there again and highly recommend people to stay there. A very pleasant stay. Thank-you both to the owner and the staff. Debra C
