Booked and stayed here with Agoda. Decided to stay here as it was a little more expensive than surrounding hotels. Reception area clean and coffee available. There is a lift to all floors. Room was clean and a little dated. Coffee and water supplied. Bathroom small and needs refurbishment. Door to bathroom would close. Not many power points. 1 at side of 1 bed and 1 near door. Noise from other rooms can be heard. Breakfast was as expected and fair.

This is such an amazing hotel that is well maintained and run by a family who are super friendly, kind and helpful. I got a free pick up and drop from the train station, breakfast was amazing, rooms are super clean, quiet and safe. The hotel is situated on the Mekong River, not too far from the Thai-Laos border post. They have a pool which is great for those hot days. The owners are very happy to help you plan your sightseeing in Nong kai and will give you advice on how best to get done what you have planned. I really enjoyed my stay here and I would recommend it if you’re planning a night or 3 in Nong Kai :)

The room was very clean. The bathroom was hygienic and fulfilled our wishes oa rainhead. The bed was not too hard and not too soft. No use of the flat-screen TV (40 inch) No noise was suppressed from the outlet. We had a room on the street side, no breakfast but free coffee and tea in the lounge room. Good price quality ratio.
Crystal Palace Hotel is centrally located, conveniently very close to the Tesco Lotus shopping centre. I arrived very late and the one staff was very helpful. I booked the larger Superior room for 760 baht and it was really nice. The bathroom was clean and modern with an enclosed shower. A hot water kettle and coffee were available. The breakfast was very good. WiFi worked well. However the TV had few English stations and only the indigestible Fox News. There is also a parking lot.

I only made this place average because that fact is it does not have a lift. It was roughly forty steps up to the room lugging a bag up. The rooms here are quite small however ok for an overnight stay. I would commend the hotel on its cleanliness and comfort too with the bed. I had a good nights sleep here and didn’t notice any noise in the night, however in the morning I realised there was a lot of noise filtering into the room as other guests were leaving and as the cleaners started so don’t expect a lay in even though the check out is at midday. It has a small room offering a cofffee service however your better off wandering up or down the road to find a a breakfast. Parking was easy when I got here at two, however looks quite limited if you were a late arrival. They also wanted a 300 baht refundable deposit. Overall it was value for money and pretty central for most things in Nong Khai.
The hotel is located in the centre of the city, and the hotel is located in the centre of the city. And to eat also (5min.a foot).
The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable.
Place of residence very calm and serene. Place to rest without distractions from the city. To get around there is a tuk tuk stop about 5 minutes walk away. If you want to use a transport app is another option. There are some food stores nearby. And to eat too (5min. on foot).
The owner and receptionist took me to the train station with his car. Very friendly and attentive.
I stayed at the Royal Jomanee Heritage Hotel for two nights while visiting Nong Khai, and it was a really pleasant experience.
The room was clean and had everything I needed—a comfy bed, air conditioning, and a fridge for keeping drinks cold. It’s not fancy, but it’s perfect if you’re looking for something simple and affordable.
The location is great, close to the Friendship Bridge and a short drive to the riverfront markets. It made exploring the area really convenient.
The staff were super friendly and always ready to help. They even gave me some tips on where to find the best local food.
Overall, it’s a good choice if you’re visiting Nong Khai and want something comfortable without breaking the bank.

GGuest UserLocation/ about a 10–15-minute walk into town along a promenade on the banks of the Mekong or there is generally a tuk-tuk waiting outside the front of the hotel Room/ was comfortable enough with a fridge, safe and bathroom with walk-in shower but lacked finishing touches and attention to detail. Safe wasn’t working initially but soon rectified, only one chair on balcony for 2 people, bathroom door difficult to close, one key card for 2 people, house keeping not great, screws sticking out of walls etc etc Breakfast/ the best thing at this hotel is the food. Excellent buffet breakfast with really friendly service, served 6.30am to 10am, always plenty of it enjoyed either in the very nice breakfast room or outside on a terrace. Egg station cooking eggs to order 4 different ways. General/ lots of secure off-road parking down the side of the hotel and behind. The rooms are in 2 separate blocks adjacent to each other with pool containing fish and seating area between them. Check out the Sky bar on top of one of the 2 blocks. Opens at 3pm and serves good selection of food at reasonable prices with great views over the town, the Mekong and into Laos beyond, great for sunsets. Would I stay here again? Yes, due to location, breakfast and Sky bar

GGuest UserPARK and POOL, If your going to stay at Nongkhai.....Then this resort is the place to stay, the pool and gardens are just beautiful, a tropical paradise. Walking distance to the lao boarder, hire a scooter from the hotel, short ride down the back street past local shops, cafes, massage shops down to walking street, the markets....to the mighty Mekong for the view & dinner etc....but OMG did mention the tropical paradise back at the resort. We had the best poolside villa...was what made it for us, staff always there for customers
GGuest UserComfy bed, nice air conditioning, sparkling clean, nice staff. Otherwise no breakfast and not many extras. It is a bit difficult to get to the station (my TukTuk drove a hard bargain for 100BHT, probably justifiably given the distance) but for a night or so it is great value. If you plan to stay here for longer make sure you get the Grab app or similar in order to get around, if you do not have a car. Decent hot water....a rarity in a budget hotel (this is part of a chain of budget hotels and given the standards here I will be looking for this chain elsewhere).

AAmmarichescappiWhenever I have something to do in Nong Khai I always stay at this hotel for one or two nights. The location of the Hotel is very good next to large Supermarkets, and just a step away from the Hotel there are the characteristic ”Tuk-Tuk” ready to take you anywhere quickly. The staff is very kind and very professional and the rooms are clean. A good breakfast is included in the room price.
GGuest UserWe booked and paid with Agoda while on a Tuktuk. Arrived a few minutes later and they received our booking. Saw the price at Reception counter for daily rate which is lower than the price we paid with Agoda but not sure what type of room will be with that rate. Our room is nice. There’s a wooden base large enough to place 2 mattresses on. The aircon is noisy a bit. There’s a balcony which is nice. There are 2 free bottles of water in the refrigerator but no water boiler to make coffee. We need to go down to the Reception where they provide instant coffee and hot water. There’s a lift which is a plus when we have heavy luggage. Next to Lotus and shopping complex Asawann 1 where there’s a van to Udon Thani every hour.
GGuest UserFor the price point, an excellent hotel. Friendly helpful staff. The day manager, she went out of her way to make it an enjoyable stay for us, excellent English. The free hotel bikes were a bonus, made getting about so much easier. Don't bother with the bedside charge sockets, I think they feed power back into the grid :) Good breakfast with enough choice for a western meal, one was photo worthy.

GGuest UserOne of the finest resort in Thailand! Beats the Failed Marriott Surawongse hands down in terms of Welcoming, Services from the Heart and Accommodating to guests needs! The breakfast is delicious and impressive. The owners are modest, friendly and great people! I stayed in the stand alone bungalow and exclusivity is fantastic! This is the true 5 stars hotel NOT the Marriott Surawongse!
ปปอปลาตากลมThis is a hotel that I would recommend to stay at because it is not expensive, the room is very spacious, the bed is soft, it is quiet, and there is a swimming pool. The staff provides excellent service.
GGuest UserWe booked via a 3rd party website. The majority of the pictures show nice rooms in a nice (brick built) building and we booked a 'superior' room in (what we thought) was that building. On arrival we were told ”the room you booked isn't available now but we have a 'superior' room available in another building which is bigger and better than the room you booked”. We were led into a very old wooden building next to the nice building we had seen on the website and shown the room - apparently 'superior'!. We didn't like what we saw of the room and given that we noticed the building roof was literally falling down, we asked if another room was available (or the one we had originally booked), and told ”no” - so we asked for a refund and we would go to find an alternative hotel. To this request, we were also told ”no”. After speaking to the owner on the phone - we were told that ”a room is available of the type you booked (Superior) but you have rejected it, so no refund”. We rejected it because its NOT the room we booked (as the receptionist informed us on arrival) and in an old wooden building where the roof appears to be falling down. We have spent several years in the hotel industry and realize that problems can and do occur, but the true test is how you deal with them - and it seemed like we were being blamed for not accepting the alternative room offered to us (which was our prerogative), and were apparently labelled as 'rude' by the staff and the owner. Looking back at previous reviews on other booking websites, several guests have gone through the same experience of being told their room is now not available when they arrive, and its obvious that the owners refuse to accept responsibility whenever someone writes negatively about their experience at this resort and almost always lays the blame on the guest instead of accepting responsibility. As the staff refused to speak to us even, we had to engage with the booking website to intervene on our behalf and after submitting photographic evidence of our experience, we eventually managed to secure a refund several days later but had to find alternative accommodation after wasting almost an hour trying to explain why we didn't want a room that we had not booked, when it could have been easily resolved with a simple ”sorry your booked room is not available, and yes, we will give you a refund if you are not happy with the alternative room we show you”. No doubt we will get told from the owners, in the reply to this review that this was all our fault anyway!.

GGuest UserWe spent one night in a corner room (107) the room was fairly large with direct access to the pool. We are a family of two adults and three children and asked for an extra bed to be put in the room, on arrival we found a 2-inch thick mattress with a sheet laid on the floor beside one of the beds when we complained about it as we had been charged an extra 400 Baht for the extra bed a lady brought a bed base and put the mattress on it. The room we stayed in a couple of years before was 1,800 Baht before but now we were charged 3,500 Baht which I thought was a totally unreasonable price increase. When we stayed here before the pool had some tiles missing from it and I thought it was a hazard then, I assumed a couple of years later the problem would have been resolved but I was surprised to see It was actually worse, there were many tiles missing from the sides as well as the floor of the pool creating a substantial hazard to people using the pool. I, unfortunately, cut my toe on my left foot on the edge of a tile!! The breakfast is ok but missing western foods, and milk for coffee, they have only dried cream powder. Luckily I had some fresh milk in my room . All in all, I would say it is expensive and not really safe for kids to swim and I probably will not return until these problems have been resolved
