An honest family review while we are still here. First off, the area (Sibenik) is really nice. It's clean and the sea is perfect for swimming etc. The Amadria Park Ivan is one of 4 hotels on what was the Solaris Resort. All are linked (sister hotels) with very little difference in standards or facilities. The problem with that is there is no competition and so everything is priced high. You would need to do a ten minute drive to get any variety in food and drinks. The buffet breakfast is fine but after that the menu selection is very poor. The restaurants and snack bars in the resort all use the one menu. On more than one occasion the food we ordered off the limited menus was unavailable. Even simple things like ketchup! The majority of the hotel restaurants close at 9pm too. You will find yourself resorting to having substandard snack type food most days. We booked two rooms, one for my wife and I and the other for our two teenage kids (Girl 18 & Boy 17) We got rooms side by side which was great but there was only a double bed in each. What teenage brother and sister what to share a bed or even one with their parents. We asked for twin beds or even a fold out bed for one of the rooms but we did not get one. Instead we had to pay another €660 for the only remaining room left just so the teenagers had their own space. So we had to book three rooms for something that was not our mistake. On the plus sides, the pools are nice. The walk from the pool to the beach is nice too (right beside each other) White Beach is the main beach at the hotel and it's really well kept and very safe for kids and adults to swim at. The water is very clear and warm. The view out to the islands is impressive. The hotel rooms are ok. Possibly a little small but the issue none of us liked was the lack of privacy at the bathrooms. Their is a clear glass door with no lock and the shower faces into the bedroom with a curtain (on the room side) Very odd set up. The rooms do not have a balcony which is something we usually enjoy. The air con in one of our rooms worked well but no so we'll in the other. The extra room we had to book was even smaller and had one of the worst hotel views I ever saw. Picture attached. There are some really nice staff doing their best and we did appreciate it but overall the hotels are getting the basics wrong. There is no hotel entertainment for teenagers or adults. A DJ just play a few tunes for an hour or so. We had a rainy day and unlike most hotels there was nothing put in place to keep guests entertained. A taxi to the center of Sibenik (€20) is recommended as its a really nice place to see. You can also rent bikes from the sports centre (€32 per person) and go on a nice cycle towards St Nicholas Beach. With food options being a major issue we found that the closest supermarket was 10-15 minutes walk away. It helped us with the basic supplies. If traveling from Split Airport to the resort you will be to factor a charge of €120 - €
We've had a lovely holiday in Sibenik, our first time in Croatia. Armerun Heritage Hotel was amazing. We stayed in the Superior Residence which was on two floors. Clean and very well presented. Stunning views from the rooftop overlooking the harbour. Complimentary drinks in the fridge replenished daily a bonus. Reception staff friendly and efficient, welcomed us outside from the taxi with umbrellas as we arrived in a storm. Breakfast was tasty with plenty to choose from and freshly prepared. we didn't have time to sit down for breakfast on our last day so a breakfast box was prepared. Thank you it was a memorable holiday. Would happily recommend this beautiful hotel.

We booked hotel Jakov after our precious holiday to Rabac in Croatia with TUI was cancelled less than 48 hours in advance. Due to being pregnant and having a doctors note with the date and country we were flying to we had to find somewhere else in Croatia for the same dates. Now I am a fussy traveller, but we came across one holiday that would work with Jet2 Holidays, this gem of a hotel came up, Hotel Jakov which is part of the Amadria Park Resort. The initial reviews looked good so we went for it! It’s an hour away from Split airport and an easy transfer. Check in was busy but quick and rooms were ready for us on arrival. My only grudge about the arrival is that the car park for the hotel was so busy a coach can’t get down to the entrance which meant on arrival and departure you have to walk with all your case from/to hotel Ivan and in the heat this was not pleasant (especially when you are pregnant and with two young children) A mini pick up with their buggy cars would have been lovely. The hotel was spotless, always being cleaned throughout our stay. The rooms very lovely, well presented, looked after, clean and modern. The boys loved the bunk beds, the shower room was brilliant and we lucked out with a wonderful view of the pool and sea! There was a chargeable mini bar if desired, plenty of toiletries restocked daily and air con in the room. We even had a bottle of complimentary water and box of chocolates on arrival to the room. The resort is huge and It took a day or so for us to explore and get to grips with where everything was. It was lovely walking around it each evening whilst dinner was going down. The pools across all the hotels looked beautiful. Word of warning if travelling with children, only ring/doughnut inflatables are allowed in the pool. Not lilos or inflatable animals etc so don’t waste your money on these. The great thing is though that you don’t have people reserving sun beds from early hours! The pool opens at 9am and if you want a bed you can find one no problem at any point in the day. There were a few people who put towels down for the whole day to only use the beds for an hour but this was a minority. The pools were particularly busy in the afternoon but not chaotic and a lovely touch with complimentary champagne and watermelon brought around in the late afternoon each day. (Would be lovely to have had a non alcoholic option for those who do not drink or are pregnant like myself). There is a pirate mini golf, a land train and light up bumper cars on the resort (we didn’t use as a little pricey and our small ones wouldn’t appreciate). They have an open air cinema on the beach every evening, we went twice and this was a major hit with our boys, a wonderful experience. There was ample entertainment for all, we went to the children’s mini disco on a few occasions as well as the kids parade/party. Always lots of entertainment in the Mediterranean square, live bands, dancers, fire performers etc. Lots of places to

This place added a lot of charm to my brief stay in Šibenik: cozy interior in refurbished old city building with well-working air con, and a comfortable mattress. After traveling for weeks, it was the perfect place to recharge after day trips to Krka NP. I enjoyed cooking some simple meals in the well-equipped kitchenette, which had just about everything you’d need, including salt and pepper (electric kettle, coffee machine, cooktop, pots/pans, etc).
A few things to note:
1) There is no front desk service(self-check in and out), so those wanting more hands-on service (luggage storage, booking excursions, etc.) you won’t find it—it’s basically an AirBnB situation, which suited me perfectly. I did not meet the host, but he was helpful and communicative via WhatsApp. Some flyers and brochures for local attractions were provided on the ground floor.
2) The stairs are very narrow and have some tight turns; with care, I could maneuver my medium suitcase (bigger than carry-on size) up to the top floor where I stayed. Those with mobility issues or traveling with large luggage may want to ensure they can book the ground floor room.
As with everything, YMMV, but I truly enjoyed my stay.
My boyfriend and I stayed at the hotel during the New Year holidays. We decided on half board. Breakfast offered a variety of options for everyone, and dinner was tasty and plentiful. The room was tidy and cleaned every morning, and the heating and air conditioning kept it very warm. The location is excellent, right next to the sea and the old town. I would like to praise the hotel staff the most. They were extremely kind, accommodating, warm, and ready to answer all questions and provide assistance. All recommendations for Hotel Jadran.
The apartment (the one on the top floor) is modern and spacious, centrally located and the beds are comfortable. It has a terrace, although very small. Wifi good. As points against, the kitchen does not have an oven, microwave or coffee maker. In addition, the two rooms are on an upper floor inside the apartment and you have to climb a fairly narrow and somewhat dangerous staircase. Nearby there are two supermarkets, a pharmacy and a couple of places to eat at good prices. It has no parking and it is practically impossible to park on the street (if you get a spot on the street you pay 70 kunas -approximately 10 euros- per day). In other cases, the only solution is to put the car in a paid parking lot next to the apartment, 240 kunas per day (32 euros).
