FFUNG YEE BELINDAHotel at very convenient location, providing easy access to different means of public transport. Both the public areas and rooms of the hotel are clean and brightly lit. The room is very spacious indeed, and the water in the tub is strong and hot enough.
The breakfast was on the whole good, except that there's some recurrent confusion in the order of omelettes because of seemingly poor coordination in the manpower and order-taking arrangements. Hope that could be improved.

ZzybzllLet’s talk about the advantages first. The location is very good. It’s a five-minute walk from the train station.
The windows are well insulated, but there are some drunkards singing outside the window in the middle of the night after opening the window, but there's nothing we can do about it since it's so close to the train station.
Although it’s Switzerland🇨🇭. But Basel is more like Germany🇩🇪
The service is also good, there is luggage storage, and the Basel transportation card is offered as a gift
Finally, let’s talk about the shortcomings. There is no minibar.
Free minibar: There is no small refrigerator, only mineral water and bagged coffee are provided, and the minibar is not used! !

GGuest UserThe originally designated room was still not ready at 5 pm. So I got another room. Nice yet small room with a nice view. Only negative point was the
hotel is located right next to a tram station and the Basel fair close to Basel Badischer Bahnhof. It s a high rise building with hotelrooms up to floor 14. There is an independant bar on the 30st floor in the same building with spectacular views. Hotel guests get a free Basel card with allows to use public transport for free and lots of half price things to do like museums, zoo etc.

XXiamenbiaogeThe location of the hotel is good, next to the European train station SBB, it is very convenient to travel by taxi and public transportation. The biggest problem is that there is no air-conditioning. It is only the beginning of June, and the outdoor temperature is as high as 28 degrees at noon. There is no air-conditioning indoors, and the sunlight is direct (European latitude is high, and the sun's slope is not large in summer), and the indoor temperature is as high as 34-36 degrees! I couldn't sleep at all. I asked the front desk and said that the temperature is relatively low at night and it will cool down. The room is not ventilated and it won't cool down at all! Only a small electric fan is provided, and I have no sleep all night! When booking a hotel in Europe, you must ask whether there is air conditioning. 80% of hotels in Europe do not have air conditioning, which is unbearable in summer! This is still a European four-star hotel!

ZZherIt was a comfortable stay, with great pillow and comforter. The toilets are clean and bright, with shower gel provided, as well as towels! The breakfast was amazing. The room is spacious and the overall environment as well as the architecture of the building is unique and impressive. However, there is no power socket around the bed, only a usb might be a slight disadvantage. You have to take the bus from the train station but they do provide free Basel Transport card. I enjoyed my stay there and would come back if I'm visiting Basel again!

JJB SimeonNovotel was a nice place to stay for our overnight in Basel. Easy check-in and check-out so we had no problems at reception. Our train left very early the next day so they kindly prepared our breakfast to take away which included 2 sandwiches and 2 bottles of water for each person. I can't say much about the facilities since we didn't get to explore but the hotel was a convenient location to get to Basel SBB. The reception staff also helped us book a taxi which we were thankful for as fewer trams went around the city so early in the morning. We were also given a Visitor Pass to travel around the city so the trams were free and we got a discount at the museum we went to. The only downside was there wasn't a convenience store nearby or maybe there was but we didn't get to see one immediately. Thanks, Novotel!
