^_^, three consecutive nights in Australia to experience completely different local characteristics, following the car hotel, after a hundred years of house, this store is completely rustic style, authentic county style. Staying on Friday, downstairs is a restaurant and Bar, I feel that all the people around are gathered here. The pizza and fish and chips in the store are not bad, and the food around them must not catch up. The only problem is that it is very noisy and noisy. At night, there will be people playing guitar and singing in the restaurant under the floor. Everyone is dancing and invites us to dance together. In fact, if you want to integrate into the local life, you may wish to have a few drinks with them in the afternoon and have fun together. To be honest, I didn't feel too noisy, but I thought it was quite interesting. Hotel facilities can't be talked about, but if you definitely live in Yarra and don't want to stay in a winery or resort's upscale hotel, this may be the only option. I remember the name of the location, Yarra Glen.
We stayed in the luxury safari tent for (2) nights and had a wonderful time. Even in the midst of Winter the tent was very warm. With a nice, comfortable bed, great pillows, sizeable room and a view across the vineyards, it was fantastic. The I have to add, the wine tasting experience was fantastic. When we stayed last year the experience was awful, chaotic and unappealing. Balgownie have done a complete 180 here and now it’s a highlight! Good on you for recognising the deficiency, remedying it and delivering a great product. It was truly the highlight for us.
It's convenient to drive by car. Follow the white road, Maroon*** HWY, and turn left to Victoria RD. Then turn left at Melba HWY and you will be left. It's perfect to avoid the high-speed route for navigation. Hotel facilities feel old, especially the pool is a bit disappointing! The hotel provides a big bed room according to my request! The welcome letters are all in Chinese :) The hotel has a free 3 boxes of instant noodles (although we have not eaten) and three bottles of Italian mineral water! Surprisingly, the four small pieces of chocolate are delicious! All breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at the hotel, full western food! Breakfast is included in the room rate, lunch and dinner for two big ones for nearly $300! The nearest winery is just a 2 minute walk from the hotel. After the hotel reception has received the voucher, you can go there for free 5 kinds of wine! The tasting staff just happened to be a little girl from Shanghai. I was very kind. I bought 6 bottles of wine (can pay Alipay or WeChat). The next day I took a baby to go to the Wildlife Nature Reserve, which is 18 minutes drive from the hotel. !

This is a very nice resort. The interior is very clean and large. Bed is comfortable and toilet is good with jacuzzi. You will see kangaroos and cockatoos outside the cottage in the morning and evening. My kids enjoy the stay very much. However you need to either cook your own meals or drive out to eat. The drive is about 15 mins.

Love, love, love this boutique hotel. It's brand new, but the winery has been here a while. The hotel opened December 2023, I believe. We LOVED it. It was exactly what we were looking for in Yarra Valley. The accommodations were AMAZING. The hotel bathroom was the most luxurious we've ever experienced. We loved the wine tastings at the winery and the dinner at the hotel was one of the best of our entire trip. We'd come back in a heartbeat, and know this is a small business/family business, so it's worth supporting.
Our family group stayed at the Yarra Valley Lodge overnight when attending a wedding nearby. It appears grand on arrival, but is only just going from a customer service perspective. We had 3 rooms, each with 4 guests. There was only 2 towels and 1 face washer per room, which is not enough for 2 people, let alone for. We were held up getting into one room because a card payment had declined but reception staff didn’t want to tell us that, so they kept saying the room wasn’t ready. We asked more than an hour for additional towels, and had to go back to reception and ask again to actually get any. We had to ask for additional room keys as well. This is all really simple stuff to get right but impacted our stay (we were almost late for the wedding despite having left ourselves heaps of time!). Buffet breakfast was good, but staff seemed flustered and weren’t that friendly or helpful. It could be a lovely place to stay with a few tweaks and attention yo detail.
Our stay was OK in as much as the bed and bathroom were acceptable for the price. - when the price is $125 or so. The trick is while they advertise $125 a night, Friday and Saturday night the prices goes off the scale. So read your proposal, even if you're in a rush. There are lot better rooms around at around $200 or more. We stayed 4 nights and extended another - a Saturday. (Family matters nearby). The gentleman said $120 for the extra night but when I got my statement it was $189! It was then I realised I was charged that for Friday too. Re-educated in touch and go and not bothering with the receipt. Sure these prices are not exorbitant in this day an age - for a reasonable establishment. While in the room the basics were reasonable, the room had a toaster and microwave but no bread plates or cutlery, only small bowls. Asked at reception and was give some disposable cutlery and pasta bowls . Great for toast! Apparently people keep stealing them or breaking them. So charge them and have something reasonable for reasonable people! The door didn't latch either without a heft with your shoulder and then caught only by millimetres. The chain was on and the chairs in place, don't worry. The room was only serviced once during our stay after we asked. The garbage truck came at 4.00Am or so and emptied multiple skips just nearby (on the premises) with all the beeping and backing, hydraulic whining, and diesel roaring you'd probably accept at $120 odd dollars a night, but really? My partner was ready to walk in the first five minutes with her usual abuse of my miserliness. As you might have guessed, the pricing issue is what really gets up nose. The rest you probably expect and accept for a cheaper deal. But next time we're near Lilydale we may well pay $189 but we'll be looking for $189 value.
We can not recommend this motel for a stay of more than 1 night. We had frequently stayed in the Yarra Valley Motel prior to covid19 and were very satisfied. When we booked we didn't realise the motel was under new management. We booked for 1 week and payed 169 dollars per night. The room service happened once in that week.I requested the bins be emptied daily a d fresh towels daily as the weather was cold and wet and the towels didn't dry.The bins were emptied 3 times and a banana peel removed but bin not emptied on the 4th day.Fresh towels were supplied 3 times. No vacuuming or bed making or linen changes occurred during the week. There was no net curtain over the window so for privacy the blind had to be drawn and light on.There was no drawer storage or bedside lamps. 4 coat hangers were provided in the wardrobe. The bed was comfortable and the reverse cycle air conditioner adequate. The shower and bathroom did not seem to be cleaned but the basin was wiped down 3 times. We were disappointed and do not have the same experience.
Our stay here was amazing. The room was clean, stylish and comfortable. We had a mountain view room and the scenery was just stunning. Every evening there were kangaroos everywhere and we even had an echidna walk past the room. The staff could not have been more accommodating and cheerful if they tried. They were always ready to greet us with a cheerful ‘hello’ and a genuine smile. Breakfast in the morning offered plenty of choices as well as yet another stunning view. I highly recommend this place to stay either with or without kids. With a very short trip to the Main Street of beautiful Healesville, you can’t go wrong. We will definitely be returning.
