Style. Extraordinary Albergo Diffuso (scattered hotel). The first in Albania Setting. Time travel within confines of Kruja Castle Explore. Mountain town Kruje. Hiking in the area. Museum on site to learn all about Albania’s legends Rooms. Was in a upstairs room, lovely balcony with views of the gorgeous castle. Room had a mini fridge so you can store cold drinks. @ the hotel. Parking is near bazaar outside castle. I had no idea where to park and had luggage with me but called and the owner Olsi Pengili came out to help me. Skipping checkin formalities was a relief after the long trip from Hong Kong to Albania. Sunset right in front of the hotel was magical and the whole Albergo Diffuso project Olsi is going through to restore and preserve this area is exceptional. The day I left, I had a punctured tire and the Hertz car did not have a spare, Olsi saved the day, a car mechanic showed up and fixed my tire on the spot! Food & drinks. No restaurant yet but plenty nearby. Originally wanted to go to Restorant Bardhi but ended up at Kroi, where they have fantastic staff, including the one that alerted me to my tire. Prices. I was treated to a stay at this hotel for my 30th birthday gift for a relaxing weekend. The hotel is perfect for this & the resort itself is very modern & clean. The staff service is also very good. The hotel has 2 A La carte restaurants along with a buffet restaurant where you are served breakfast. We were very happy with the food at both the a la carte restaurants - Italian and Mediterranean. There was also a pool snack bar where you can get sandwiches & pastries. The entire pool area is really nice & there is plenty of sun beds both in the sun, shade, in the water & down towards the beach. The hotel is set right on its own beachfront where there is a beach bar & plenty of additional sun beds. The beach area as a whole is a little rough around the edges - I would honestly say the beach just needs a little TLC & it would be an excellent asset to the hotel once properly managed. There are a few restaurants / bars walking distance on the beach but again I would not say these are fully prepared for tourists of the hotels. I would recommend this hotel for a pure weekend of relaxation - reading & sunbathing! There is also a sports bar with games areas. Would be interested to see this resort in the next 3-5 years as i suspect will be very popular.

Wonderful hotel. We stayed from September 19 to September 30, 2024. We didn't want to leave. Upon arrival, it turned out that the room we booked was not available, and they upgraded our room category to the best - a two-room suite of more than 50 meters with a terrace also 50 meters - with sun loungers, a huge umbrella, a dining table and a small table with chairs. And no extra charge! Special thanks to the hotel management for this. The breakfast is very good. Everything is there. Fried eggs, omelettes, pastries, vegetables, fruits, hams, sausages, cheeses, sausages, baked zucchini and eggplants. Excellent coffee of all kinds from the coffee machine. You need to walk a little to the sea about 400-500 meters along a shady alley of thujas - it is pleasant to walk, it smells of pine needles and there is no scorching sun. A wonderful large sandy beach with sun loungers and umbrellas. At the reception they also give out towels or blankets for the beach/pool. Everything is free. The sea has a gentle entrance, it is quite shallow for a long time, but the water is always warm, even after the rain. The location is about 30 kilometers from Tirana and 30 kilometers from Durres. If you want to go see nature/sights, you will need to rent a car. There were 3 restaurants within walking distance: Gambero is the best. The food is purely Italian, and everywhere the same. Equally delicious. Fish, seafood, meat, pasta, pizza, salads. There is homemade wine. Local beer is delicious, although I am not a fan. There is also imported. There is also a restaurant in the hotel itself. The same, but the prices are more expensive. Sometimes it was not open. Shops. There are 3 shops: right around the corner from the hotel (Eco), in the neighboring village of Lura3 (ok) and ”on the dusty road” (the best, the richest selection - there are cheeses, fruits, pates, inexpensive wine, though Italian - local wines were not seen anywhere), you can go through the ”garbage forest”, but it is also very dirty there. I definitely recommend the hotel, it is probably one of the best in this country, if not the best. Good price/quality ratio.
